I hope this funny story helps your morale My car was stolen on 1/1/03, the cop who found it came to my house to bring me on the place where the thieves were arrested in order to get my car back. he look towards my shelf, he spotted the takatoku VF1S, blikned his eyes (actually he almost cried) and said: "Hei ma questo è il teschio uno di robotech! che figata lo adoravo quando ero piccolo dove ne trovo uno?" Translated: "Hey this is the skull leader! from robotech! cool i loved it when i was a kid. Where i can find one?" Than i proudly showed to him to my reissue collection and told him where he could find one. Sadly i started crying when i saw that they have bend the door frame to open it. The cop explained to me how they started my car (by breaking start key cylinder) ,since the start keyhole was broken the cop explained me me how to start the car whitout the key and I've "stolen" my own car to get home. PS In october 03 i bought a car that starts only with the right key (that contains a chip recognized by the engine electronics) if someone wants to steal it, he must change all the engine electronics. But even with such device i look troubled for a couple of seconds every time that I park my car!

I prefer the box that hold the Valk in robot mode but even in figter mode would be cool (but i think that this means another mould ) . For the cardboard box i'm working on Taka style boxes but BTW if you know where is it possibile to find suitabile lineart please let me know.

They will be made out of polystirene (here in italy we call it polistirolo) as the original box. I don't know the price yet but i think that the "casted" specimen will cost very little (i don't think that bandai paid more than 50 cents a piece) but the mould wil be very expensive. I'll know the price once i give the reference designs to the owner of the manufacturing company.

how about memory shape alloy? it can be restoired to it's original foprm simply by heating it.

I'm planning to build custom boxes for my valks. I'm asking to a manufacturer to reproduce for me styrofoam inserts takatoku/bandai like (sadly I only own Joons insert but i think it will work as reference) . He says that if i want them printed out he had to prepare a mould and al least 1000 pieces had to be produced to justify the cost.(The mould is the most expensive part). Otherwise he can carve them out someway but i don't know how. The insert will have a mark that will make them different from taka/bandai so There will be no possibility to mistake em for the original one (i don't want to be sued from bandai for breaking their copyright) but they will fit a joons box (hope takatoku is the same size). I'm not planning to make cash, just cover production costs. What do you people thinks of my idea?

How much damage can the remaining 10% do? I ask since all the valks that have yellowed have presumably been kept indoors which means that the light went through a window. Does the glass of a cabinet further filter the UV that passed through the window? My beloved Skull leader has suffered from a sort of a "chemical yellowing" since it has been always kept in my closet in zero light condition. I lived over a car painting facility can it be the cause of the yellowing?

I don't think that X-9 is more agile in space, remember that in 0 atmosphere you can't turn by using control surfaces of the plane cause the flight become inertial (play asteroids to get an idea). You need "verniers" to change direction. Plus faster speed result in a greater turn angle so more thrust is needed from the directional thrusters to be able to turn and you can't use airbrakes that in a way or an other affect inertial flight, if you want a good rendering of the inertial space fligt watch battlestar galactica 2004 or play Heavy gear 2 .
