I don't think it's half-assed since the transformation looks complicated. I can understand if you were excited to buy this an let down when you found out it had parts to keep it more stable but you don't have to have a cow about it. They might tighten up the joints closer to release and who knows, it might not even need them

Wow I just got my first vf-171 and you guys were not kidding on the transformation being unpleasant.

Yeah it's a garage kit. The resin is colored but not detailed so this would be a pass for me considering I still have like 3 kits from bandai and a blade liger to build. I don't see myself building them for another 10 years haha

Update 1. 6/27/14 Originally I had wanted to sell these to buy a yf-29 alto but I guess fate would have it that today I had a car accident which damaged the front fender and the bumper today due to highway debris.
