Nope, I’m “ride or die” for the 3.75” Joes.
Love that most of the recent ones can still fit in the old vehicles.
Besides I don’t need another 3,000 versions of Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Duke, CC, and Destro. But now in 6” scale!
And Bandai’s -21 battroid won’t win my approval until those damn bellyplates get elongated and given the correct shape.
Lmao that’s what everyone said about 1/60 valkeries. Hence here we are, standing strong not buying 1/48!

Since it's just a friendly debate. I want to ask since I didn't have any Yamato 1/48 VF-1's. When Yamato released their 1/48 VF-1's almost 20 years ago, did people already mentioned that it has overall poor quality? And did the discoloration happened immediately like Bandai's DX VF-25 v1? Bandai got released their DX VF-1 recently so comparing both companies regarding quality now wouldn't matter anymore, right?
I have to agree that's why when I read a few comparing posts I got confused a little bit since the photos posted from what I remember from the previous page is Yamato's 1/60v2.
Your right, 20 years ago we jumped up and down for the yammies! But now as we can see they don’t age well. We shouldn’t pay 200 bucks 20 years ago for something that sits in a box n yellows. We didn’t have anything to comp it to so we didn’t know.
i still like my stealth yammie 1/48 and it didn’t yellow, but it’s joints are loose n I transformed it once to batroid n it’s been sitting on my shelf.

No set off, just friendly debate!
I still have few yammie 1/48 left.even the super parts discolor.
they have more detail etc yes but definitely poor quality in comparison to Bandai.
ill trade my yammie to anyone who wants for their bandai s lol

cmon, lol let’s be real. There’s no way Yamato can compare to the Bandai. The Yamato’s are floppy messes. Also, it’s just blasphemy how they yellow. They are just poor quality.
You can have brand new out the box yellowing with the Yamato’s.
they were good for the moment but noooo comparison to the Bandai.

We're only talking about exterior aesthetics with those images. Please read more carefully before getting set off.
Ha ha never set off! I’m talking aesthetics.
I definitely don’t think the mid engine vette is similar to any Ferrari lol -

I was going from a purely mechanical/feel/driving perspective. You jump out of a Porsche GT3 and into a C7 Z06 Corvette (I have) it's amazing how they're SO different. The Porsche is a scalpel. The Vette is a precision hammer
.
I agree with your aesthetic analogy though.
Refining the aesthetic analogy I think would be a Ferrari 458 (Yamato) vs a C8 Corvette (Bandai).
Comparing a Chevy to a Porsche hilarious.
no comparison.
I own a few cars and I don’t care what Chevy try’s to do with the vette. It will never compare. They need to do a real vette n bring the price up level with the 911 turbo etc.the problem is that American cars where always shabby floppy builds with poor reliability. Similar to Yamato vs Bandai.
bandais 1/48 feels of quality where the Yamato is flaky. It was good back then hen we didn’t have a choice but now it’s a crap show.

I finally got around today to open up one of my 1/48 max.
I must say, extremely impressed by quality. I don’t like the separation thing of the legs, but the freaking build n detail they put in is outstanding.makes the Yamato’s look like trash.
I hope they release all versions of the vf-1.including the Alaska base etc. definitely worth the money.
