as promised to let you guys know on my dispute with Nim nim games. 40 days after they took my money Paypal granted me a refund on the basis of never received. But they lied to me about refunding me. Nim nim never did . I had to get my money back from paypal as buyer protection

so from my personal opinion and experience, never to buy from NIm Nim Games

    glad you got refunded.

i ordered one from nin nin.

the release date is Nov 30th.

I purchased on 7-3-2020. that gives me 150 days into my 180 day window.

if item is delayed i will file claim. if it doesn't ship within that week, i will file claim.

180 days is DEC 30th so i will definitely file claim before then.

While I agree that nin-nin is crap, I wish some of these reviews would stick with the facts, which should be enough. When they start making accusations with no proof, it just makes their review less credible...ironically since they are also calling out other reviews.

Again, use a credit card through Paypal whenever buying from any foreign retailer to give yourself extra protection. Paypal should side with you in this case but if they don't your credit card company most likely will. I've thankfully have not needed to go that far very often but when I have, I've never seen a case where a credit card company would not side with their cardholder.

Agreed. I have 1 copy on order with them. Have until jan 3 2021 to file claim. If release date changes or they don’t ship by that date, I will file claim with paypal. No games.

I am going to have to pass on DX missiles and fast packs for now. As long as I can complete the Vermillion squad, and a TV Roy, i am satisfied. As many others here, my Yammies still look fantastic, and I have all their Missiles, and fast packs, including multiple GBP armors. (some MIB new GBP armors may be on sale soon, as I believe i have too many of them)

Maybe if i get lucky and they re-release the DX missiles and FP again, I may order a set.

Ha ha whatever you gotta tell yourself to get outa bed in the morning!

Just kidding! I loved the 1/48 Yamato’s. That’s what got me into this nightmare (besides this forum). I remember I searched macross and the forum came up. It was downhill from there for my wallet lol

Dang. I'm afraid to ask because I have a previous dx and two ssp waiting there...I've been afraid to ask about upgrading to ups now my worst fears are confirmed.

It cost me 98.00 usd via ups to ship the 0D to New York.... it then cost me 85.00 usd to ship two SSP to New York. So for SSP, it cost me 27500 yen for 2 shipped to NY via UPS.  It came to around 135.00 per SSP shipped. A little cheaper then if I bought secondary market. But I wanted to secure them in hand cause NY be playing games lol

    That is true @skullmilitia.

If it wasn't for the US version and Transformers, I wouldn't have found Macross and the offshoots of the franchise.

Right now I'm waiting for the pre-orders for either the DX DYRL 1s Roy/Max and the upcoming YF-21. If Milia's 1J and the VF-11 gets made, I'll decide then.

Cmon, lol you know that if they make Millia or any other 1/48 gets made you will be hitting F5! Lol

I mean you are on a Macross thread and not a Robotech one.

But everyone here is pretty cool about it unlike some of the other forums on the interwebs. I like both personally but to each their own.

For the love of all that is sacred, please watch Macross legit style. You can find SDFM on Amazon Prime with English subs. Or better yet, since you’ve watched the Macross Saga on Robotech, go to YouTube and watch Do You Remember Love?

I’m gonna watch on prime now that you mentioned. I’ll also watch do you remember love.! I’m on furlough so nothing but time right now!

Thanks for the links.  Almost tempted to pick up kakizaki.  But it looks like they have the same refund policy as Nin-Nin... store credit...

That no refund crap don’t stick. Paypal will refund you and your credit card will. If they don’t deliver goods, they breach the sale.

I see a lot of complaints about price and availability, but as far  as I'm concerned this is the golden age of Macross toy collecting.

Were any of you guys around here or collecting Macross toys in the late 90's, and early millenium?  Now THERE was a time of misery when it came to collecting.  First of all, what was there to collect?  If you wanted a variable fighter there were two choices: Bandai and Takatoku, both of which were 1/55 scale "chunky monkeys" that are aesthetically hideous when compared to even a V1 Yamato.

I remember scouring ebay for whatever 1/55 valkyrie's that I could.  The holy grails back then were the Bandai Strike Valkyrie, Super Ostrich and the 'Seeker.  Do any of you guys remember the prices back then, IF you could even find one to bid on?  Oh about $1200 or so, and that was just for the Bandai Strikes; I never got into the Ostrich and the 'Seeker because they were even more expensive and harder to find.  Hell I remember even missing a mortgage payment because I was so feverish trying to get a Bandai 'Strike that was MIB for about $1300.

So yeah, these PO sessions suck because they're hard to succeed with and you've got unscrupulous sellers like NIN NIN marking things up by almost 100%, but try and remember that even at $500 for a Roy, you're getting a far SUPERIOR toy for a fraction of the cost of a much more simpler toy that cost that much more when there was virtually nothing to buy.  If you had shown me a DX 'Roy back in 1999 I would've sold my soul for it.  Today, you've got Yamato, Bandai, Arcadia, and even Toynami and the reissue '55s if that's your thing.  Ultimately everyone needs to lighten up; if you want these new generation toys you'll get it, and it won't be as hard to do so or nearly as expensive as it was for old-time collectors like me...

Wow lmao missing mortgage payment! You are die hard collector!
