  1. Alex, great review, thanks, really put my mind at rest after I ordered a Ray last night on whim.

Dissasembly doesn't bother me much on these since it's an impossible design to begin with.

Tires be damned, I think they put them on Yellows bike to make it stand out more.

The visor is the wrong colour, no doubt about it but I'm no gonna let it stop me from enjoying this!

Has anyone seen the Busou Shinki Ach "ride armor"? I think it is pretty sweet. . .

That's the first one of those I've actually liked, pity about the other comments made on it.

I bought a 1/18 scale motorcycle toy at toysRus last week that looks pretty decent and it has spinning wheels. Oh, yeah and it cost $3!!!

I'll bet your 1/18 doesn't have unfolding verniers in it's hub caps that need to face down in the ride armour mode it also doesn't have.

  2. Is that English packaging? I see some Japanese writing on it and was under the impression it was just the Japanese box with a Toynami sticker slapped on it.

No, sorry, I mixed myself up (didn't re-read the article befoire I posted it).

That is the Jpanese packaging, all the japanese text is very small on it however, which is why on looking again I thought it was the English box.

To be honest, I don't care what langauage is on the box or what country it comes from.

  3. Gurren Lagann is set for a May 15th release, the Razengan will follow a month later.

I'm hoping it'll include the flight pack that was shown in the Wonderfest pictures.

Ah cool, thanks for the info.

I was thinking the flight pack/loads of little drills one might be a second version, I hope not.

  4. Probably more along the lines that they want to get their investment back a few times over. Their Mac 7 toy lines pretty much tanked due to poor workmanship and Yammie has been cleaning up with their high quality variables over the past few years, same with Hasegawa's kits.

They've proven to themselves that there is a market for high end collector's toys and kits and no doubt they want in on the market.

But they didn't go anywhere near this far for Eureka Seven (much to my chargrin) , a show which Bandai was a heavy investor in. Which is why I said they must have the belief it will succedd in order for them to have already started on high end toys.

I think Bandai just views Kawamori's name as a sales gurantee, they did the crazy ass Aquarion as a full on Chogokin after all and that was a completely unknown property.

  5. Now that's more like it, Bandai is really flexing their muscles. I'd guess they've got a pretty good assurance that this new show is going to be a success.

I'll only buy one of these SOC Valks, I'll wait for the yellow coloured one with the armour and weapons.

  6. I doubt very much that they were at the UK toyfair, there's practically no market for their stuff here. Even if they were, coverage is thin on the ground due to being overshadowed by the US event which is next weekend.

  7. You're going to be waiting for quite a while, since Bandai Visual doesn't do thinpaks. In fact, aside from a next media (blue ray or what not) release, I wouldn't expect a box of any sort, and even then, a blue ray box isn't guarunteed either.

Gunbuster 2 has been solicted in the UK for £25, no idea if it's a thinpak or whatever but that is very cheap, especially for the UK.
