Understood. I can understand parts for the older F-14A/B would be tough to maintain. Was it just as difficult to maintain the D models even with their digital upgrades?

Slightly off-topic on the F-14. I still wish the Navy would have retained a small handful of F-14s to use as aggressor aircraft for simulating longer-range engagements. I can't imagine keeping 5-7 Tomcats operational would have been that costly.

An old making of the first Top Gun.

Really frigging saddened by all of this.
Apparently the motive was that the perpetrator claims they stole from his novel. The guy has a record too and was mentally ill.

I noticed those were some big-ass GBU's under the wings when Maverick rolled inverted----not sure a Hornet (or any plane) can do that with that kind of load.
Haven't there been demonstrations done with the Super Hornet carrying a bomb load? Those looked like GBU-24s.
I can't help but hope that maybe they worked out a deal with the Malaysian or Singaporean military's and we get to see actual Mig-29s or Su-30s as adversarial aircraft against the Super Hornets.

Sold!
I'm kind of surprised Maverick wasn't wearing a JHMCS helmet and was wearing the traditional visor.

Have you considered a model 3? Where I live, they are the it car.
I currently live in the greater Pittsburgh area. Tesla's are a tad rare here. They're intriguing cars, especially if I was commuting in and out of the city 5 days a week. I'm just not sure I'm ready to bite yet on the electric-car market.

Will be in the market for a new car this Fall and I'm legitimately considering the Civic Type R. I know they're like unicorns and can disappear off the dealership lot real fast. Has anyone else here purchased one and if so, what was your experience like?

Been waiting for this one.

So does this mean a live-action Pochehantes and Hunchback of Notre Dam are also in the works since Disney is obviously out of new ideas.
To be honest, this is the first live-action Disney flick that I actually might go so.

I'm still amazed people are still throwing money at them so readily given the development pace. What had me at the beginning was the whole Squadron 42 story campaign. I wanted to see a return to the whole Wing Commander/Freelancer genre but that's been in development hell now for years.

I haven't seen a single live-action adaptation yet of any of the Disney movies. This will continue the trend.

Nice RIO seat footage from an F-14. Likely late 80s.

I never played Panzer Dragoon but then again, I never had a Saturn.
Got to admit, I'm really hoping they connect new Doom with the original series. It would be nice to find out that the Doom Slayer is in fact the Marine from the classic games.

Having let the excitement wear off on FF7 has me concerned over a few things. How many episodes will it take to get the whole game if the entire Midgar section takes up 2 bluray discs. Even with it being episodic, two bluray discs could have gotten us much further in the game it seems like. It seems like this is heading towards a more nightmare scenario of 4+ episodes spanning a decade just to complete the whole story with Square charging full price for each.
-
I'd like to see Square just remove the "REMAKE" on the title and just stick with Final Fantasy VII. It just looks like an eyesore to me. Capcom certainly didn't feel the need to put "remake" under Resident Evil 2.
-
So the first release is going to be all about Midgar but expanded upon. That still bums me out alittle as it's still such a small portion of the whole game.
This also slipped out.

Does the F-35 not have a traditional HUD or is it all in the helmet now?

Had originally thought the upgraded F414 was abandoned by the Navy but it looks like the Super Hornet and Growler are going to be getting a needed bump in power.

I still have little idea what Death Stranding is about but I was still throwing money at my screen after watching the trailer.

While I like the “nick-name” Viper....it’s starting to annoy me how much it is used as if it is the official name. So when DCS makes an F-15E sim will they call it the “Mud-Hen?”
Chris
I have to wonder if it's too avoid potential legal issues with the Falcon series as most of their other modules use the official designations.
