  1. My recent order from HKC just cleared customs in New York yesterday. Soon I'll get to enjoy, or regret, the fruits of my impulse buy, but at least I'll be able to check off the VF-19S and VF-17S from my list of to-get items that are rapidly becoming scarce. Now, the only two that I'd like to purchase to close out my Yamato Macross collection are the VF-1A CF TV version and the VF-22S Max; after that, aside from Bandai's Frontier DXs, I can comfortably say that I'm done... until and if Arcadia steps into the vaccum Yamato is leaving in its wake.

IIRC, a member has the Max VF-22S up for grabs in the "For Sale" section...

  2. I should stop too I made one more purchase yesterday and I am done too ( unless I find a Max 1/60 V2 VF-1J)

Woot. Those are rare pieces. I saw a VF-1S Roy Super/Strike DYRL on Mandarake for 13k yen, and it vanished after a few hours. Wow. Just wow. And to think my Cavalier stayed there for 3-4 days... I was lucky.

  3. Eh I'm with you on that, except that I do get multiples if I like the design a lot. For example, I love the SDFM original series but can't ever get into the VF-1's design so I only bought one...and it's still in its bubble wrap. Same with the VF-25, I quite enjoyed frontier but don't like the Messiah.

On the flip side I think the "movie" that the Gamlin's 22 was in is a huge snorefest(a natgeo Sea Shepard documentary is more exciting) but I bought multiples of the mold, which I think is severely underrated. Same with Mac7 which I still don't get, and yet two thirds of my collection are from that series.

Agreed on the VF-25 and VF-1, never really grew on me, till I bought 1 VF-1A... nevertheless, don't think I'm ever getting a VF-25 toy... I actually liked M7, and most of my valks are from M7 as well...
