Guardians of the Galaxy, on DVD/Blu-Ray December 9, 2014
Gakken85 replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm only getting Firefox. Groot - Like the character well enough, but the toy looks boring. Nothing to interact with other than having it stand there. Plus it's large. Starlord - His design is too 90's for me. The trench coat, and the Rocketman outfit... meh. It's fine for the movie but I don't want a toy of it. Drax - I would not own a Batista likeness. I'd be afraid somebody thought I was a wrestling fan. Gamora - Meh, Green lady. I might get a Nebula if it looks good. Ronan would be cool but he doesn't look right imo. Too small. Plus firefox is small, and cheap for a hot toy.- 344 replies

Wait are you saying his reviews suck because he talks like an a-hole? I think I've seen a few of his reviews but I don't remember them. It seems like he just reviews free stuff he gets from toy companys to pimp plastic. Pointless to review things that way imo.- 17117 replies

I'm sure others outside of MW have sent in emails. Scalping isn't really about investing. It's about turning a quick profit for very little work haha. I don't care how you collect, or really even if you scalp. Buy 10 boxes and put them in your closet for all I care. If the site allows it.... My problem is that if they limited it to 1 and people got 4 through other means just for the hell of it. It's a little annoying. But it's not the end of the world.

Terminator 5/Terminator: Genisys, opening July 1, 2015
Gakken85 replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Tread title needs an update: http://www.polygon.com/2014/8/6/5975299/terminator-5-genisys The upcoming Terminator movie has wrapped shooting, and to celebrate, star Arnold Schwarzenegger treated fans to a photo featuring the film's full name: Terminator Genisys. Schwarzenegger posted the photo, which features the actor sitting in a chair monogrammed with the title, on Instagram. "I can't wait to see our finished project and I know we'll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator," he added. Genisys is expected to hit theaters next summer on July 1. Schwarzenegger will reprise his role as a terminator. Sarah Connor will be played by Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), while Jason Clarke (The Chicago Code) is John Connor. The fourth installment in the Terminator franchise, Terminator Salvation, was released in 2009. The film followed Christian Bale as resistance fighter John Connor.- 508 replies

Actually the Groot + Rocket 2 pack has a little "1/6th potted groot." But I don't think Groot will make a great figure. Too big and boring. So I'll save my money haha.- 344 replies

No, this means Hasbro asian is releasing the hasbro colored prime again for asian markets. Meaning you can get it at robotkingdom/bbts ect. But maybe Hasbro will rebox it too, down the road, but that isn't confirmed anywhere. Official space brick watch update:- 17117 replies

Supply really isn't greater than demand though. It's just like when nintendo would short games around christmas to drive up demand. It's artificial demand. Most every Valk on NY is still in stock except the made to order ones, and at a cheaper price than the PO previously. It's more about people learning the business cycles, and supporting companies that make spending their money easy. I used to have 1,000 bucks worth of PO's at NY, most of it non-macross, some of which are items that are still in stock to this day. After dealing with their poor customer service and inflexibility I cancelled it all. I haven't bought anything from them in close to a year. I may be getting an Ozma from them if I can't find it elsewhere but we'll see. I've mentioned before that I have no issue with them increasing the price for macross stock on rare PO's per say. That's also not really supply and demand driven, but they have to do it to buy out other peoples stock and make a profit. They are providing a service to us in that they aren't "one and done" and there is more stock to western shoppers. But they are also sitting on a lot more stock than any other shop. They have frontiers in stock now that they might not sell for a long time and sitting on stock is never good as their money is tied up. More stock always comes and they charge less for it because the demand is usually met at that point, plus it's an artificial drive to get more money out of people as quick as possible. Short term small profits vs holding on to dead stock? Is that thriving? Maybe you're right that other people will come along and fill that slot, but you can't keep a business afloat from inflated frontier preorders. Too small of a niche in the long run. NY isn't thriving, so much as taking business risks that may, or may not, pay off in the long run. It's also true that better business models always come along and new stores pop up to take advantage. Their reputation will endure.

What a difference the right paint job makes. That jetfire is far superior. BBTS has bubblegum prime for PO. I'm sure you could find it other places as well. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=TAK11952- 17117 replies

They should be able to tell when people log in with multiple accounts based off their IP address. It should be as simple as when a moderator on a forum does it. Obviously if it's such a big issue that it's causing them so much consternation they should look into it and take some action. Creating multiple accounts should be a bannable offense as you're trying to circumvent rules.

Good point. Still I hope they leave room for magnets in the legs... or am I thinking of the VF-11.
-
Think it will pull this off: I'll buy it just for that
-
Ah, the old versions. They'll have to engineer new ones. Makes sense. I hope they stick with the magnet system. Love those. I wish all superparts were magnets haha

Are you saying fit in the box, or fit on the plane?

That's just some random weathered version that he found on another forum and posted... It has nothing to do with the Arcadia release. So far we know that 1. It will not have a grey visor. 2. It will not have effects parts. 3. It will have a valk. 4. it will NOT be weathered. It may be a DYRL release.. but that's not confirmed.
-
Wouldn't fit, or would cost more? haha

Wow. What a royal frakk up. I'm not sure what's up with HLJ. I assume they have a small staff that are paid fairly well and care about the company... but damn they seem so confused half the time. 1. They don't know names of PO's. I emailed them about a Godmars SOC and they had no idea what it was called, or even that it was currently listed. 2. They don't know shipping times or dates. They seem to be all over the place. 3. They can't handle a 1 per customer limit. 4. They don't know about restocks/reissues. I asked them about the King Grimlock re-issue and they had no clue it existed and kept talking about the old item.
