  1. Could we collect all the news in a timeline thread? haha
  2. Lost my virginity. Just placed my first pre-order. That is one amazing F'ing toy.
  3. If you ever see a c for sale let me know Also, don't transform fighters drunk
  4. Yeah I plan on getting the 1/60. I bought this one on the cheap. 25 bucks I think? I'm dying for a 11c! haha Phalanix - the V1 are known to have notoriously weak hips: http://anymoon.com/blog/?p=239 It looks like poop in battroid mode anyway, and the legs are a pain to pose.
  5. Nobody had this toy? haha Nevermind. I figured it out. Short review: Never buy this toy haha
  6. Always buy the V2 and you should be ok. V2 as in version 2.
  7. I've got my instructions out.. which are pretty weak, and I'm stumped. Maybe it's these few beers but could anybody help me out? haha I almost got it but I'm stuck on the arms going from battroid to fighter... they seem so fragile and I have no idea which way to push.
  8. If anybody is interested I'm selling armored parts for this valk. Check my posts
  9. We must stand tall and not retreat! There is no fight we can't fight, together.
  10. I've been thinking about doing a podcast on the 36 episodes of Macross. Covering 3 episodes per cast. Discussing mecha, art, plot, impact, ect for each show. What do you think?
  11. The Destroid toys are fantastic. If you didn't buy you you stink
  12. Zomg. They should do an Alpha at least! Nobody has beaten Gakken yet haha
  13. I wanted to take some pictures of my humble displays. Any particular forum for that?
  14. Yeah I'll pick one up eventually. And leave it in fighter mode
  15. I totally agree with Renato on the VF-4. Having Never played the game, I'm not really biased to like or want the thing. The Jet mode is fantastic, but the robot mode looks just awful. I can appreciate that it's a well made toy, but I have a rule that if a toy doesn't look good in all modes, I don't buy it. haha.
  16. For a guy just coming back into the hobby, it's fun to hear about all the history I missed haha.

You can still sell them for 35-50 bucks though. Lots of people just want something to get back into collecting that doesn't break the bank. It's a good little toy to have IMO.

Generally. If you bought like a v1 yamato with the die cast legs it might not sell for as much, since the V2 is a vastly superior toy, but as long as you keep the box and have all the parts you can usually at least get your money back, and in some cases with limited runs make more. I just suggest reading all the reviews you can: anymoon.com is a great source for reviews on what you should and should not buy in collecting. He's very hawkish about things that are over priced as well.

Well your wallet will thank you when you go to resale the macross stuff. Cheap transformers are always cheap

This forum should make a sticky about how to collect the smart way! haha. I just started buying in January after playing with some old toys in my parents basement. I've gotten a lot of good deals, but I've paid a lot of money in a short time. I'm trying to stick to the idea that I don't need multiple paints of each sculpt, and picking across scales and lines the ones that have the highest reviews. I'm also doing a lot of trading and money management. I'm a single guy and have plenty of cash to burn, but I don't want to end up sinking 10k into a collection with nothing to show for it and nowhere to display it.
  21. http://www.collectiondx.com/blog/vf5ss/veef_show_episode_51_retrospective_yamato_toys Good podcast to keep up with if you don't. They have some great stuff on Macross collecting if you scroll through old episodes. Enjoy.
