Also worth noting they're re-releasing Minmay 2009 with Mikimoto art

Ok but hear me out for 2024 wishlist:
1:48 YF-21
1:48 Macross Plus Weapon set with 2x Fold Boosters and all the Super Parts and missiles for YF-19 and YF-22
Someone on twitter has been posting a cardboard mockup of YF-21 wings to be scratchbuilt on top of a YF-19, so a spite announcement seems about right.Agree 100%

That’s really true. But personally it could have a blank box as long as the contents and instructions are great. Box art and logos are just icing on the cake.
With a lot of old kits the box was actually the best part. I could stare at those pictures and my imagination would run wild. The kit inside rarely was anything near the box art, and you really had to work on those. I’m glad that we’re in an age where we can have a cool kit as well as great box art.AMEN!!!!!

Whoa! There's a lot great builds on this thread! I missed quite a bit, lol. I've been working on a few non-macross projects lately. I'll post them here?
Yes. Love the podcast!!!

To be fair to Plamax.. I actually do prefer how they've assembled the kit to how Hasegawa did it. Hasegawa made some bizarre choices for how the plane goes together (the entire backpack and knee assemblies in particular), so I would welcome something that goes together cleaner without modding it, but when you consider this is more expensive than the 1/48 Hasegawa that fixed most of the issues the 1/72 kit had..
Totally agreed 💯%

I love HLJ, but I've got a $30 Regult sitting in their warehouse with a $50 FedEx shipping option only - come on HLJ, open up EMS or Slow Boat to help us out in Canada. (Warning to fellow Canadians, they offer no other forms of shipping to Canada other than FedEx or DHL). I'm not ordering anything else until some other options for shipping open up. (when I pre-ordered there were more options, didn't know things would get worse over time - I thought things would get better?)
I think is japan's mail service the probem, not the store.

Hasegawa's 1/48 are the best!!!! Why not a few new molds????? VF-11 some one? YF-21 please!!!!!
-
IMHO for the price I prefer the Hasewaga 1/48 version. At the moment $29 in www.hlj.com vs $35 for the new plamax 1/72 version. It is a no no for me

I bought 3D stls for the ships but still hoping for the Regult Scout and Powered Armour. Seriously, who wouldn't buy the Queadluun-Rau?
Yes. The DYRL version fortress was at least done as a 3D print.

The slow pace of Macross releases of anything other than a valkyrie or an idol is beyond painful.
