  1. I wish I had the amount that this will probably go for, but these things are really rare. I really wish someone would get around to reissuing the Dorvack and Orguss toys (and some of the J-9 ones too). http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f14661886
  2. Probably cheaper to just date a cosplayer... So Rob, are you now offering Yahoo Japan bidding services? I can attest that Rob is running his bidding service...I'm sure because my wallet is empty! (Not Robs fault though...just a lot of cool stuff out there...and some amazing deals you wont see on Ebay..check it out! ) Some "steals" of note: Same here. Although I'd say that Yahoo JP is only really good for the rarer (and more expensive) stuff like the older Valks (Takatoku and the Hi-Metal and HCM Bandais) and fairly rare stuff, like some models, but not worth it for stuff like most models, since you can easily wind up paying more than you paid for the model due to shipping and fees. Although it's definitely worth it since I've gotten a $150 GBP with box, a $110 Taka super valk with box (although the valk had some problems, those will be worked on), a $60 HCM with box (yellowed though) and some models (not all of which I got with Rob). But it's definitely worth it, although only really for the bigger stuff.
  3. No problem. Who else would be able to get me that deal?
  4. The guy's grabbing the laser gun as you can make out the some of the letters, and it appears to be next to a pair of conversion kits. The first toy is obviously from Baxinger, but the one right behind it I'm not sure - I've seen it before but I'm pretty sure it's not from Baxinger. And the one behind it I have no clue, although I know I've seen it before. I guess I was the only one who decided to look at toybox dx. In the first picture, the third box is from Baxinger. So I'm guessing that the second one is also from Baxinger.
  5. Another one for Rob (Monkey-N). The post office came out to deliver my GBP on Sunday (I was in Phoenix) but I got it today. Can't beat this for $150.
  6. Perhaps I should point out that gamespot has no clue about this stuff. First is that management won't care about 5 or 10%, but after that they will care. And if you don't have management on board, you're pretty much screwed since they can flood the market with shares. Not to mention, if you aren't management, you have to have management replaced to have a takeover (more or less), which is really hard. Management's nominations for the board win if only one vote is cast in their favor, and if you aren't management you have to nominate your own people and send them out to every stockholder (altogether this costs a couple million). So, odds are, this isn't happening.
  7. And my roommate (well, if I weren't so sure he's gay). Of course, some people just aren't lucky with stuff like that. Of course most people aren't like me (some quotes from my AIM profile also come to mind).
  8. Odds are they are both convertors. The one on the right definitely is. And I don't know about the one on the left. These were made from the Takatoku Paro molds, so that's why they are similiar.
  9. Even though I like Xenosaga a lot, I can definitely say why people don't like it. There are so many cutscenes, and some of them seem to drag on. That being said, there's definitely a lot I like about the game. The way for gaining levels (using the Tech and Ether points) I like and the same with skills. And the EVS is good. There are a lot of cutscenes in the beginning, but there are a lot less in the end.
  10. Xenosaga. Of all the PS2 games I've got, it's much better than the others. I didn't think that Unlimited SaGa was horrible, although I hate Final Fantasy X-2. It wasn't this year, but Wild Arms 3 was also pretty good.

    Age Check! :)

Whew, I'm not the youngest here. I'm 19 btw. And I turn 20 in August. And like everyone here (at college) is older than me (well, at least my fellow sophomores). And when I say I was born in August, everyone assumes I'm a year older than I actually am. And I first saw RT on CN back in 96 or so, and M+ in 2000. Not my first anime though, I have an old VHS fansub of Castle of Cagliostro for that (back from 93 or so).
  12. well he might have been doing some research and thought that his was a takatoku as all the takatoku boxes look like his as well except the original has a hikaru standing on the bottom right hand corner instead of a valk. And maybe when he said never removed from box meaning never removed from styrofoam box? Maybe.... I doubt that, since the boxes are incredibly different. This page has the links for the Matsushiro boxes. http://deepfire.net/~robots/jetfire/matsuvf-1j.html It might be that he just put takatoku in there to get hits for it. In the description I really don't care but in the title it's a pain. And you can get in trouble for doing that too (description or title).
  13. I like this one, although it's not that absurd. Although it's obviously "not removed from box." I like it even more since it's obviously a Matsushiro (you can tell by the little bit of the box there), but he says it's a Takatoku. I wonder how he found that out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...68&category=748
  14. oh snap! I've never seen a bootleg of a JM before. Wow, that's a new one. Wonder how good the quality is, and can it beat rohby's quality? Anybody care to find out by buying it? I'm pretty sure that it's not a JM bootleg, but a bootleg of those RT SD morphers (I think that's what they are called).
  15. They ended at 11,101 yen. If that Milia wasn't missing an arm, it would have been really good. And here's something we will probably never see - a Gakken Tread prototype. Only 350,000 yen, with a reserve. http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b46023618
  16. Nice, I finally got the Orguss search that I accidentally deleted (too lazy to look it up again). And you forgot the actual Macross Cels category. http://list5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/20840...cale=0jp&mode=1 Hmm, I should have added this before but didn't. Since I've used celga before as my bidding service, I might have some useful suggestions (the stuff that gets me pissed). Instead of a flat rate or something, for certain values have it be a percentage (or a more complex system, not just one rate for every $100 or so). I hate it when an auction goes just into the next rate category, and you get hit with an extra $10 fee just while the difference between categories is like $5. And I always think that I'm being overcharged on shipping. It's always been $8 for the 6 or so items I've gotten with them. And don't hesitate to ask for a deposit beforehand (celga's 50% seems reasonable), to avoid a repeat of last time.
  17. I saw it and didn't feel like going for it (if it had a box though...). Plus, it's hard to tell if the right leg armor is actually there - it's obscured by the picture (even though he does say it's all there).
  18. Seems like a Robotech fan's collection, except with some Takatokus http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f12533492 And, if anyone wants it, odds are this HCM won't go for much, even if it is yellowing (good for customs though) http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b45602723
  19. Hmm, I found this stuff on Yahoo JP today. There's a lot of good stuff now. This conversion kit is probably as close to MIB as one will find now http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e33251710 and I believe the model on the left is a metal siren http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/62830733
  20. Hey rob, would it be possible to have the magazine sent by SAL? I know it takes a while but I wouldn't mind getting it, but I don't want to pay for EMS. Plus, it's better than the thing being tossed (and no real need for insurance).
  21. Hmm, you might want to try these Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. I used them to remove yellowing on my HCM and accidentally found out they remove paint as well (and pens, just in case a previous owner decided to write on their Valk). I'm not sure how well they would do on something clear, but they are safe for dishwashing.
  22. disc read errors (supposedly) are one of the hardest things to fix. good luck with it though.
  23. Well, seeing as how I'm at home I might as well put a pic up of my collection. I only took a pic of the stuff I had out (I've got a few Hasegawas and Arii kits in a dresser and more MGs and regular gundam kits under the bed).
