  1. I have the AC version and it may be a little dark (you can change this on your TV too) but it's not pixely at all. It still looks as good as it does on my TV on my computer.
  2. Don't worry, I'll probably be sending you some Yahoo JP stuff later this week (I had money in paypal and sent it to my account before some goodies went up there, which I now regret.) lol, i forgot to add this: for only the wonderful price of 120,000 yen (like $10,500) you can have yourself a Super Ostrich. http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f6901670
  3. For like the past few weeks prices on stuff has been really insane. Didn't the GBP go for like $250 or so? And Monkey-Nugget got insane prices for his Takatoku stuff (like $450 for a GBP giftset.) These insane prices are making me consider selling some stuff.
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=36568 this these things probably wouldn't sell for $10, much less for $175 with a reserve
  5. Whenever I come here, I never get the thing saying I have new PMs. Does anyone else have this problem? Or is it just my ad blocking software (Norton, which does a real good job) being evil? It's fairly annoying since I don't remember to check the thing in the corner saying how many new PMs I have and I don't have the e-mail notification on since between my C++ class and the e-mails I already get, I hardly have any room in my UD account.
  6. For models, it's mostly Gundam with some Macross. I like the MGs but they do seem to take a while to look decent and are annoying to get in any sort of a pose. I used to go with planes and helicopters, I used to have well painted models of a Stuka and a Hind D (that was only like 7 years ago). And there are a few Hasegawas. I got some of the Bandai destroids and I'm looking forward to building those - I've seen way too much of the VF-1s.
  7. I'm pretty sure the VF-1D was rereleased. HLJ was sold out of it for a while (like right after it was released) until a month or two ago.
  8. You are wrong. Bandai does not develop games. Bandai is a publisher not a developer. Actually, Bandai does both. Sometimes they have other people do the games (usually arcade releases which Bandai then distributes on consoles) but it's usually Bandai making the games with some of their in house people. Don't forget that Bandai is a huge company that owns Gundam (literally, since Bandai owns Sunrise or whoever it is that makes the Gundam series).
  9. Woah I was out of it there (4 hours of sleep). I didn't realize you were asking how to get it there
  10. Hi, I don't know about the other two, but etrade168 is a very honest seller. His packaging is not very good, and I understand that was an issue to you. You do have to admit that this guy has excellent prices, and thats the reason I have bought 3 Macross items from etrade168 on ebay. In short, he is not great in packaging, but he is good in prices. It's up to you to make the call. vic. Yeah, I recieved my low-vis from him and the packaging was pretty good, tight, but good, and his comunication was very good. I would try to see if he could exchange it for ya and maybe cover the shipping, in general, i think hes a pretty stand up fella, but we'll see if he compensates ya The guy packages the items in tight homemade boxes WITHOUT ANY PROTECTION. You were lucky you received your Low Vis in good condition. Besides, I had specifically asked him to bubble wrap the item. He didn't do it. I contacted him and gave him the chance to make it right. He offered me an insignificant partial refund, which I didn't accept. The isn't a seller to buy collectable items from. He risks the integrity of your $50+ item to save 50 cents on packaging materials. He doesn't even package your item properly when you ask him to. I'd like to add that I've had stuff sent from HK (a Hasegawa) that was wrapped in like a thing of bubble wrap and still arrived crushed. It was a lot worse than the VF-11B (I'd post pics if the model were here). Although it is annoying that you asked and they didn't bother with it.
  11. I can't believe how much people are willing to pay for an alpha (I'm assuming it's the alpha instead of the convertor and roadbuster) - I only got 2 of those and 9 figures/Macres valks for $40 (shipped) yesterday: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=16467
  12. Hmm, I didn't know that a 1/72 Legioss was made (I knew that it was the one that came with the Tread but I thought that was 1/55 too). Well, it's better than spending $80 on the MPC Alpha (even if it does look good, I'm still not paying that much for a toy without some taste in packaging). And, after I sell those figures (boy how I yearn for the days when I sold that Macress crap for $10, and there was no shortage of people for it), I'll have gotten those for a decent price (like $20~25). And I figured out what the second one is (well, I'm pretty sure - it's hard to make a positive ID since it's really blurry.) I'm pretty sure it's a 1/80 Takatoku (or Convertors, since I think this was something sold under the convertors label) Gerwalk Nikick. I'll let it pass for $6.99 althogether.
  13. I really don't like the Yamato stickers either. I haven't bothered to get any other stickers (I prefer to leave my Valks mint). Although I'd probably be tempted to use them if they were the type Bandai uses for the MGs (those rub-ons). I really like those, although you only get one chance to put them on (although they do look good and are incredibly easy to get on)
  14. Hmm, I'm pretty sure that other thing is one of those orguss things that takatoku made but I forget which one it is. And i don't know if anyone else made it (like what happened with a lot of their sasuraiger and dorvack stuff). anybody care to help me out with that? and can anybody id these alphas for me? i'm pretty sure they are 1/55s but i think they made 2 mode and 3 mode 1/55s (not sure on that though) thanks
  15. Yeah, nice MG collection. Apparently nobody's Zeta is able to stand up straight by itself (I just glued the friggin thing, even if it can't transform into Wave Rider mode). That Hyaku-Shiki looks nice (probably my next MG purchase, but I need to build the stuff I have before I get more).

    sdf-1

Well, I got myself a 1/6300 matchbox/takatoku sdf-1 on ebay recently (only $25 shipped). well, the thing came today (fedex even came out today) and, quite frankly, i love it. it has everything (all the styrofoam, the instructions and decals unapplied, and the thing has some yellowing but that's it - it has all the antennaes). but is there a way to tighten up the legs or something? they are fairly loose and makes it hard to pose outside of standing up (almost as hard as a yamato 1/60 in battroid). and, quite frankly, it's annoying. very annoying
  17. $200 in parking tickets? WTF?? What did you do - block the fire lane in front of a burning preshool??? In Chicago, tickets start at $50. Even for not having your parking permit, it's $50. Fortunately at UD, if your car isn't registered, you just toss the tickets (it's only UDPD so you just toss them.) If it is, you either don't park on campus or pay them up (at the end of the semester they get added to your bill).
  18. this ones good http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=16467
  19. The VF-1S Hikaru. I'm eventually going to get it (not paying sticker price for it) but I want to see if Yamato will make a VF-1S Hikaru and Strike parts set (theyre doing it for the 1J, so it would be logical that they would do it for the VF-1S Hikaru, although this is Yamato...)
  20. You must really like him, having the same IP and all. No way! That's pretty F'ed up to do that. Huh????? . I don't get it. I'm a little slow-minded! Assuming that he has high-speed internet access (dial up has dynamic IPs) and doesn't have to sign on (if you have to sign on you have a dynamic IP), it's the same guy. The problem with dial up is that everyone on that ISP has the same IP.
  21. Hmm, judging by the pictures, it appears to be an uppercase Psi.
  22. I'm up in DE (Newark/New Castle county to be exact) at UDel and our classes were cancelled for Thursday and Friday. Needless to say, I'm glad I'm not in the first floor here (definitely will get flooded) and my 4 hour long P Chem lab Thursday is cancelled.
  23. I'm a travel, college, and Gundam guy. Between Macross, Gundam, and travel, there seems to be little money left over for college. Although that's what parents are good for. And travel discounts. And for money. Although they don't mix well. My favorite question was "Who took the flight to Japan while school was in session?" (it was the 6 days I had free between the end of classes and finals, and that was coming from my parents). Although that crappy job giving tours on campus (now if I could only get a computing site job) helps when it comes to travel.
  24. Here's the link http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g5431445 I don't think it's the pencil sketch since those are usually stuck to the cel and they come with the cel. And those are usually on a piece of regular (or so it seems) paper (at least the ones from my cels are). It's 4000 yen and it will probably end that way. Personally I don't think it's worth that much (just by glancing at it) but if it had the actual cel it would probably go for more than that. It is interesting in that you can tell that they were debating how much to animate (at least that's my interpretation of the boxes).
  25. Mods - I wasn't quite sure where to put it so it went in here (of the Macross stuff forums the most people come in here, so here it went). I found this on a Yahoo Japan auction - I have no clue what it is. It says Tatsunoko Pro. but I don't know what the friggin thing is. Anyone care to enlighten me about this?
