Managed to snag a VF-19P for US$185 after shipping. That a good price?

So, this just occured to me... Any thoughts on whether we will be seeing any space missions? I believe most or all screenshots have shown them to be on the planet, where the plot takes place.

So in summary, the world map system plays pretty much like Brutal Legends, where you are free to wander around and fight enemies, but trigger story progressing missions or sub quests by interacting with certain points. Not that it's a bad thing, but I'm glad they decided to include an auto battle mode, though I have no idea how that would play out, except to play it like the PSP Frontier games. Also, on the topic of Roy Fokker (yeah we kinda expected for him to not show up) am I the only one who's afraid NamcoBandai, what with their DLC milking ways, are gonna release Roy Fokker via DLC, and he'll be playable in some form of free play mode with no story involvement whatsoever?

I think the 3 important elements of Macross (love triangle, awesome dog fights involving transforming variable fighters and music) should always stay the same. It's what makes Macross such a unique brand. But when it comes down to the games, there really isn't anything quite like flying around and spamming a bajillion missles. Music would just make the experience all the more better. That said, I don't know if the a love triangle interaction system will play well in game. it would probably end up like those dating sims. On that note, I think Sakura Taisen is a good example of blending these 3 elements well (mech turn based strategy, dating sim, and singing)

Doesn't Blu-tack leave some kinda oily residue if left stuck for a long time? I wonder if it's any different for Quake putty (the ones I got are clear)

Yeah I know, I was just playing along I agree on your point though. I do what I can to score one of these (since I'm so late on the Frontier boat), and hopefully score one, and if that doesn't work out, I just move on to the next choice (the lesser of whichever evil stores jack up their prices.) Ideally, I'd pay retail price at most. I just can't stomach paying the grossly inflated prices some shops offer (unless I'm really desperate). We'll see how that plays out when the VF-25F/S get reissued (if that ever happens any time soon).

I'm from Singapore and we're about 3 hrs behind Japan. Whenever the orders go up for these, I tend to miss them anyway (even with constant refreshes), so it's not like it's any easier for us I'm afraid During the YF-29 Reissue PO, I refreshed it like every minute, and it was still sold out when I finally got it to appear.

Maybe he was referring to the Playstation Store digital version. Not sure if the PSP Macross games were available on PSN, but I guess that's a possibility.

Amiami only asks for payment when it is ready to ship. I ordered this early, and no problems so far on my end. Was just sharing an update (what little of it), chill out. About character interaction - I didn't say I didn't want any, I simply meant I was hoping the focus of it wouldn't be too much. I'm ok with some character interaction, but hope it doesn't end up as a visual novel style kinda segment, where heavy knowledge of japanese would be required. That would suck for many of us who do not speak it. Also, as a personal opinion, I just wanna fly around and spam missles like most Macross games (albeit in a bigger environment, with longer missions and in glorious HD).

Yeah, it's a Macross game. I won't expect much. I'm just not much into fan service of this caliber.. Also hope it doesn't mean there'll be too much focus on character interaction ala visual novel style (didn't triangle Frontier have that? I skipped that game due to lack of time)

I'm the opposite, I really cannot get into the Alto version as I don't like the look of the colour. But I found this version to be very visually appealing. Plus that purple canopy compliments the 30th anniversary colour scheme imho

so quick question. My VF-19 Kai with Sound Booster came in recently, and I noticed there's what appears to be a layer of oil or something on both items. I hear this is fairly common with the VF-19s, and was wondering what's the best way to remove them? Thanks in advance for any help!

I might be slow on the update, but I was rewatching the trailer, and can't help but notice in the scene with the battle against the quarter, it was firing a volley of Reactive Missles at the plane.. Overkill much? haahahaha

man, this comes up to about $300 after shipping... when I could've gotten it at less than 200 at Amiami.. think I'll have to pass... it's abit too much for me, even if NY is one of the cheaper alternatives around. I'll keep the money for a (hopefully) VF-25F/S reissue

If the YF-29 sells out like this already, what's to stop the VF-25 reissues (whenever it is that is happening) from going through the same thing? It just feels impossible to get these
