  1. That is why I broke down and bought one today online, true it cost me a few bucks more, not that much more since it was just a bit higher than the cost of one when they were first released those many(2) years ago.

    BTW, refresh my memory, how much did they cost when they were firsted released?

    (in hindsight, better not tell me. it might make me fell worse on how much i did pay)

    No really, do tell me.

  2. That would be extremely screwed up of them to do that to those that pre-ordered. "Here's the beta, but you need a new Alpha to use it with. Ha ha."

    I doubt they would piss people off that bad. That, and would require effort on their part to do the resculpt.

    I agree with you on that. Since it's obvious that Toynami is trying to rebuild thier name since thier VF-1 fiasco, it seems very highly unlikely that they would do that. It would only hurt them in the end.

    So that being said, I'm sticky to the fact that the diferences, if any, would only be cosmetic, thus I'm standing by my theory that it might be the middle missle rack, and the gun attaching in the middle.

  3. Question: What is Magaroad? And how does this SegaSaturn bootlet relate to it, hence burying that beaten, dead horse?

    Please forgive me, since I'm relatively new to Macross - I'm passed the newbie stage, but I need to be brought up to speed with all the little nuances to fully understand. This is one of those nuances.

    Thanks! :D

    Megaroad = the colony ship that Hikaru, Misa, and Minmay left on after the original TV series ended.

    The Saturn booklet came with the Macross:DYRL game, and lays out the major series events, as I understand it.

    Ahh, I see. Thanks! :D

    Looking at all those nested quotes makes me dizzy.

    Yeah, me too. :wacko: So there it is in condensed form above. I guess I shoulda done that in the first place. :huh::lol:

    Hmmm, I seem to have missed reading that first post you linked to. :p

  4. * Nobody knows what happened to the Megaroad.

    Tell us, oh wise one, what DID happen to the Megaroad?

    It became the Miniroad?

    Hehe.

    Yeah, you know, that black hole thing. Misa says, "Hey wonder what that is?" and they all die. :lol:

    Seriously now, SOMEBODY PLEASE scan the booklet for the SegaSaturn game so we can bury this beaten, dead horse.

    I agree. Someone please do that.

  5. I've also seen the Artmic lineart for it.  I mentioned it on this thread somewhere before...  it's canon.

    Ah, I see. I was not aware of that.

    It never appeared in the anime but it was in the model sheets and on the Imai kits.

    I've seen those, but was unaware of it being canon. Looks to me that Toynami is just concerned of actually being anime correct and not canon.

    Purhaps that's what might be the difference hinted at between the first 3000 and the the ones after?

    Where did you guys get the #3000? I was aware of that number but I never said anything?

    Actually saw the lineart from an folder that an HG employee showed me. But it was Artmic material from the signatures from the drawings themselves...

    Rumours. :D:lol:

    Well, does anybody know what the big brouhaha is about the differences hinted at between the first releases and the later releases?

    I'm now thinking that it might be the middle missle rack, and the gun attached in the middle. If it is, then I'd be interested in getting this "variation", assuming what I get either/or from my pre-order.

  6. For a yf-19 that looks closer to the anime line-art, I really wouldn't mind too much some tinkering with the design or even removable pieces.

    I too don't give a rat's hairy keister if there are removeable pieces. Just give me my anime line-art YF-19! In any scale! :(

  8. I believe the gun does attach to either wing.  too bad it doesn't have the missile rack inbetween the shoulders.

    Well, according to the anime, there is not a missle rack in the middle.

    See this link; AFC-01H Legioss Armo-Fighter Officer Model (Stick Type)

    Alright, first picture showing the back end of the toy in fighter mode. Not to carp too much on Toynami's MPC Alpha (both the 1/35 Gakken Legioss and, to a greater extent, Imai's 1/48 kit are guilty of this too) but those legs and feet stick out like sore thumbs in fighter mode.

    Hey mechaninac, it's quite possible that the back end(legs - feet) were mistransformered. Well, here's to hoping.

  9. This has waited too long. <_<

    :( Sorry, but I wasn't around to post this :unsure: . Yeah I know :rolleyes: , this was from way back in May, but....

    It's about my dealings with DARTHTODD. I'm more than happy to announce that it's all positive!! :DB))

    Excellent communicate; painless transaction; and timely delivery! :D

    :blink: Oh yeah! :ph34r: How could I forgot?! :huh:

    NO DAMAGE!!! :lol:

    Hey, if he has more sweet stuff to sale, BUYER RIGHT HERE!!!! *holds up neon sign* ;):p:D:lol:

  10. Hey all!

    I was wondering if certain upgradeable Valkyrie parts are still available to buy.

    The parts are as follows; For Bandai's 1/100 Variable Valkyrie II VF-2SS - Special B-Club resin upgrade parts that allow the kit to be built without the SAP armor.

    And; For Bandai's 1/144 Mylene Valkyrie VF-11 Maxl kit - Tect Models SERIAL 12 Grade up parts that adds Gerwalk capabilty.

    I'd love to get my hands on these sets, but I don't know where to start looking?

    Thanks guys for any help you can give. :D

  11. Mylene's valk is possibly one of the worst blasphemies macross 7 brought into the macross universe along with the resto of clown force, so why not paint it with some decent colors and try to alter the basic design into something not that sh.ty?? Surely it can be done without much problem! Just my 0.2 cents

    I actually only just watched the first 4 eps. so in my eyes the female Valkyrie is strikingly different and unique, but as for the rest of the clown force, I'm not quite sure what you mean? I never got a chance the watch any more.

    As for changing the colors or alter the basic design, I wasn't much of an artist to come up with a different color scheme on my own, and I'm not looking to kit bash my first Valk model.

    For the lack of bobbies in Mylene the Valkyrie had to compensate.. <_<

    Well, ahem...she was just in her early teens as I understand. Still more than enough time for her to, um...develop as she matures.

  12. According to the book, the helmet is the same orange as the suit. You might want to send a PM off to Keith, MW's resident M7 expert. He could probably tell you off the top of his head. BTW, the pic above looks a lot more "right" to me than the book. I'm wondering if the white parts in the book were simply "uncolored" parts of the sketch. (it is not a "final" sketch, and the image above is directly from the tv series' commericial break interstitials)

    Hmmm....v_v

    Well I definatly want it to be show accurate colors. So I'll use the pic. Thanks! ^_^

    Sweet deal, Eternal_D! :D

    What about the script above the color guide :huh: ? It seems, according to the instructions, to be further painting or....WHAT THE!@ :blink:

    Ohhhh. It's the description of the various parts of the Valkyrie. :rolleyes:

    Well, with that list you gave, coupled with David's color experience/suggestions, plus the box art and actual model pics...."I feel the need. The need", to get started! B))

    Awesome guys!! Thanks a billion! And oh boy am I gonna post pics! ;):lol:

  13. Yep! That's the same pic that I found. :D

    Now I already decided what colors to use, an orange that best goes with the pink color of her hair(which would be personal preference ;) ) as well as the other colors that's in the book.

    But looking at this pic, I'm not sure which colors to use for her gloves and helmet. According to the book, her gloves are white. But what about her helmet? You didn't specify what color it is. And I think I'll be going with the offical TV colors, so could you tell me what color her helmet is.

    Gees, so much hassle for such a minute thing :rolleyes: . But I'm glad for all your help. :)

  14. Thanks again David, you've been a great help! B))

    Well, I'm actually be going to paint just the helmet and...well the upper body shown. Nothing fancy, just soild colors to give some color. Can't wait to tackle such a miclone piece! :p:lol:

    I have a request for you. Since you mentioned that you have the M7 animation book, I was wondering if you can scan a pic of Mylene in her flight suit, please? I've been scouring the net for a pic of one but all I found was just a pic of her shoulders up :huh: . If you can do that I'd be very greatful. :D

    FS? Forgive my naivety, I'm not quite sure what you said here.

    Thank-you David, and I'll post pics of the wee pilot and others when I'm done. :D

  15. Thanks for the info, David! :D

    That leaves 5 more colors that I need, those are;

    1) dark blue that you see on the nose of the fighter;

    2) light blue of the triangle part on top the back of the head of the battriod;

    3) the bluish color of the speakers on the open chest;

    4) the tan brown color on the hips, the closed air intake vents of the battroid;

    5) and the darker yellow color of the lightning bolt, the stupid sticker has only the same color for both bolts?! :angry:

    Oh, and what colors does Mylene have for her flight suit?

    That's pretty much it. I guess I can try to match up these colors by bringing the sticker sheet and color instructions to the paint or hobby stores.

    Thanks again for any help! :)

  16. Hey guys, & gals,

    I just bought myself a Bandai 1/144 Macross 7 Mylene Valkyrie (VF-11 MAXL Kai) model, and I can follow the Japanese building instructions just fine :) , but I'm completely stumped on the Color Guide. :huh:

    Soooo, I thought that I would call apon the resources of Macross World, to see if anybody can translate this little section or can post a link with it already translated.

    Here's the link to view the Color Guide; Color Guide

    Thanks guys! :D

  17. Go HERE (right click, save as) 16MB's / DIVX required

    EDIT: Just watch the vid. I don't wanna upset all da FF hardcore fans here by stating my opinions.  :ph34r:

    Hey all, can you or anybody else put up similar links to older FF 7: Advent Childern trailers? :huh:

    I've been dieing to watch them all but for some reason all the links I find on the net don't seem to work, except the ones that you have to right click to download like the one here. And the links that I found do not feature this option, they either open players in a new web page widow or open the media bar in the current window, but all meet the same fate. It doesn't work, or can't connect, etc. :angry:

    So I'm hurting for the older(and newer) trailers that been floating on the net but won't let you download to your hard drive. :(

    Any help for actual sites that DO let you download would be greatly appreciated. :DB))
