thats actually not that bad, i was expecting over 1k.. So im excited its only 50000 yen!

1/2000 scale would be just over 2 feet long in cruiser mode...slightly longer (taller) in Attack mode. That's roughly the same height as my two-year-old!

great pics kirik now i dont have to post mine =) I absolutely love it and hope everybody does too.. As far as QC goes, i know people say the beagle version neck ball joint is really loose but on my toynami one its really solid and stays where i want nicely.. Im not sure if thats even the case but just wnated to throw that out there =)

1 head and 1 helmeted head... no empty helmets.

Mine just broke... just a random defect though... one of the fins on the wheel was painted shut and broke right when I tried to flip it open. Funny, since it was the last thing I had to do before I finished transforming it... Not funny cuz it's so awesome...

Gonna email them for a fix.

Quick question are the handle bars supposed to rub up on the big tire in armor mode? If it is that's kinda annoying I'm hoping I just transformed it wrong someone please clarify.

So I guess those of us that actually bought somewhat direct and preordered from Robotech.com are getting screwed again...

im sure since maybang got it, theres no reason why robotech.com wouldnt get them as well since theyre ready at toynami.. Just my guess

I was actually wondering about the same thing today. Still no news on the Robotech.com website. Not emails about my preorder shipping. Nothing. So, something is delaying things, but it's either not something which they want to admit to, thus no word of what is going on, or it is something which is causing them to have NO IDEA when they will actually be able to ship these, which has caused them to keep silent, rather than giving potentially incorrect information.

I was thinking about what could be causing the delay. Now, we know that the boxes have been made, since there's a review of one in MasterPiece Bookend boxing.

So, it seems like either:

a) Beagle fulfilled their orders, but didn't manufacture enough to fulfill Toynami's orders yet, and they're waiting until they do before they ship anything to Toynami

b) Toynami found some quality control issues and is having Beagle fix them before they ship any out, so as not to further damage their reputation, as with the Maia Alpha.

c) Something else, which will likely put one or both of these companies in a much less favorable light from us, the fans/consumers.

I just got word from my buddy at maybang.com that hes picking them up today and will have them available

hey guys, do any of you know if the cms jonathan wolfe set come with 2 figures a green soldier and jonathan wolfe or just the wolfe man? i been looking at figures and its called figure "set" and shows a green soldier and the purple wolfe and im just confused because they like to trick us with the boxes.. thanks!

the model kit comes with 3 ghost and no armor or stand, the DX comes with armor and a stand but no ghosts. Bandai has a set of 3 ghosts as limited exclusives on there tamashii wep shop.

Really, could you send me a link of where i can find that.. I went to the site but only see the super packs for alto and ozma.. Im really interested to see how they look, would be sick if they came with their own stands

Heh, as usual Bandai is really bad at posing the DX. You'd think they'd be able to pose their own toy better.

I note from this pic, there are still no wing hard points, for attachement of the missile and speaker sets.

Whoa, I didn't even notice they were 1/48 hands until you replied. Thanks for clearing that up sil80jdm. So the peg on the 1/48 hands are the same diameter as the 1/60, or did you have to mod it?

yup, the pegs seem to be the same.. for some reason the peg on the trigger hand is a little tight fit in the arm but the open hand slides right in.. No mods or anything required but it seems to vary on the product because of the fitment on each hand..

questiong for you sil80jdm. Hard to tell in your pics, but how different is color of the white plastic on the Roy VF-1S and the TV hands from the VF-1J?

It looks close in the pics, but isn't the Hikaru 1J super white compared to the 1S?

the 1/48 vf-1j hands seemed to match really well with the vf-1s.. I tried to put the 1/60v2 vf-1j hands on him and those are SUPER white so it was definitely a better match.. And i love the boxing glove look lol!

hey guys, i got bored so i took some pics of my dyrl vf-1s roy with the tv super armor and 1/48 tv hands to signify hikaru tv vf-1s.. Didnt really see any pics of anybody do this with a new 1/60v2 so i thought i would put it up to lighten the mood, the shoulder topic is getting too depressing lol.. BTW both of mine are cracked =( but so far its still in 1 piece =)

Just had another talk with Yamato's HK-based QC guy and he is at least now discussing with the Chinese factory ways to solve the shoulder cracking problem.

On the two suggestions I put forward of 1) making the pin a smaller diameter and 2) changing the shoulder joint material from ABS to POM, the factory has come back with the following comments: -

1) Regarding making the pin a smaller diameter, the factory is worried that it may not be secure enough and may work it's way out. Personaly, this wouldn't bother me. I'd rather have a loose pin than a shoulder that cracks. Anyway, a loose pin can be secured easily enough.

2) Just changing to POM without any other changes would only bring a marginal increase in strength. This would need to be comined with soomething else, such as a smaller diameter pin or actually making the part thicker (retooling needed).

Will be meeting with him tonight for a mutual friend's wedding dinner and will discuss further.

Its pretty lame waiting for your VF-1 and when you finally recieve it its in pieces. Nothing so expensive should have that problem.

It does suck really bad after hearing all the good stuff about the vf-1s 1/60 and received mine with both shoulder breaks on both. It does suck to receive it out of the box like that but with services like Overdrive and HLJ, its making it much easier for us guys in the US to obtain replacement parts. But i remember reading a member got replacement shoulder hinges and after a couple of turns it broke again.. So im just seeing if theres a better replacements to go through the process of getting them or if its just the same shoulders and would get screwed either way..

Any idea if your 1S is the first release or the December reissue?

I believe mine was the version from the january restock they just had.. Is there a difference in the reissue and the first release? If so mine could be from the first issue if they have corrected this shoulder problem because its still broke =(

Anybody ever get replacement shoulder hinges for their 1/60 vf-1s valks from HLJ or Overdrive? If so have they started making and sending out the replacements that dont break? Or are they sending you just a replacement that cracks still? I just received my 1/60v2 from HLJ today and right out of the box during my first transformation sure enough there is a pretty big crack on not just the left but the right as well.. What a sad day for me =( anyways, lemme know guys!
