I don't understand the hoopla over the Low Viz. I had one, and liked it less than the others out at the time. It's just a grey 1A. The 1A Max didn't do anything for me either and now everyone clamors for them. I was glad, however, to sell them both at a profit rather than a loss.

If the whole movie is as good as that last chapter, I will forgive Lucas for the first 2. It really wraps up most of the questions I had and makes you understand how tragic the Vader character really is.

I made a Super Ostrich from an HCM VF-1J and the Hase kit

Ok, I just checked out my film comics and they don't have the bulb tips, though in the opening battle, you clearly see a pilot maneuvering into formation with wing tip boosters. Too bad, I think they'd look cool.
-
I'm talking about wing tips like those on the Elint and Ostrich. I don't see any verniers on my 1/48 wing tips.
-
Since the 1A Hikaru and Max and both 1S types are all marked as DYRL, why do they not have the booster-tipped wings. You can see in the first space battle in the movie that they clearly have them.

No, they're "cheapies" but still neat.

Looking for the various diecast/plastic toys like the ones in this thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13896 I don't know what all the hell they made but I think there are a few versions. PM me with what you may have and what you're asking.

That makes alot of sense to me. I also think that the MK II's are a little more rugged than the VII's, it never says so anywhere just my theory. Think about how some WWII fighters could absorb damage next to say what an F-16 could take. The F-16 is a FAR superiour (spelling) fighter than say a P-47 or any other WWII aircraft for that matter, but the damage a P-47 could take and KEEP flying and fighting would bring down a squadron of F-16's. I'm not trying to trash the 16, it's a great fighter, just trying to compare high tech versus rugged reliability. Chris Also, modern fighters have unstable airframes, so they won't glide if they get fragged up. Just tumble and drop.

They also need to explain why 3PO doesn't remember anything from the first two movies in Star Wars and why OB1 doesn't recognize the droids.

I'm confused, wasn't Darth Tyranus what Palpatine was calling himseilf in the first movie? Or is that Christopher Lee's character? If it was Palpatine, why the name change to Sidious?

It's also very easy for anime fans, who are generally a tech-savy segment, to use netflix to rent 3 discs at a time and burn copies rather than shell out $30 for 3 episodes hits the anime retailers between the eyes. Not that I condone that or anything, but you know it's widespread.

Best Buy or Walmart usually have one in the $36 range.

I thought original retail on the YF-19 was outrageous after I received the two I ordered (1st issue). I thought they were floppy crap and still do. Luckily others don't feel the same so I was able get rid of them at a bit of a profit .

Is it just me?

I think that the apparent end of Macross toys from Yamato has vintage on the rebound. -
How about a Jetfire head?

Is your postal worker charging you to kick you in the balls??

I don't really see any difference between these shots and the one displayed at the Yamato booth. I think this explains, though, why it came out of the blue while other toys like the YF-19 FP are still vaporware - they didn't have to engineer and sculpt the prototype, they got it from another company who had already had it ready for about 5 years. But I don't care if they found it in the sewer, I love it and will buy several. Like Mechamaniac, I've been waiting 20+ years for this guy.

Well, I ordered one of these back in the day which is why I know about them. The quality was definitely Joons grade. No metal inner legs, the canopy was not panel lined, and the 1J visor was not painted. The inner tray was styrofoam and the outer box definitely said Space Fighter but had no manufacturer name at all. $24.95 from the Robot Store in New York, which advertised regularly in the Comico Robotech comics. I can probably find the ad if I can locate my old comics.

Not to be a goody-2-shoes, but Toynami probably monitors these boards and if they think they're getting taken for a ride on their good-natured replacements they may stop honoring legitimate claims. Something to consider...

Depends on if you are collecting distinct boxes or just distinct toys inside them. Here are 2 ya don't have: - grey 1J Joons with smoke canopy in Macross box - grey 1J Joons with amber canopy and yin-yang symbols in Space Fighter box. These were actually advertised in the old Comico robotech comics, so they're old
