  2. My friend at Orca Tactical has been making cute and awesome patches of Hello Kitty as various pop culture characters. Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, Modern Warfare, Robocop, Ironman etc.

He had an exclusive Cylon Kitty patch made for Mojo Tactical in Hawaii.

So I approached him to make a Macross Kitty patch. We went with Roy Focker's VF-1S

  3. So I am thinning the herd. I sold off my Minmei Guard Thunderhammer. Now it is time to give these cute guys a home. I enjoyed them but I am moving on.

These were made by master sculptor Rohby. They are one of a kind urban vinyl customs based on Macross Valks. They were made in 2006.

Here is the creator's page on the VF1A

    and the VF-11 Thunderbolt

    http://www.tinyimports.com/Munny/Thunderbolt/ThunderBOLT.htm

After i bought the VF-11 Munny, I commissioned him to make me a small Isamu out of that little figure. I honestly can't remember what it was called. Rohby came up with the idea to plug a wind up key to mimic the Minmei doll.

More pictures can be seen here.

These guys are huge. They stand 8 inches tall, not including the antennae. They have some wear on them and the paint on the vinyl has started to sweat and get sticky. When I moved to NY, i wrapped them in tissue and the tissue stuck to the VF11. So you will need to have someone recondition them.

Given the condition I am selling them for half of what I paid.

    VF-1A is $300 plus s/h

    VF-11 w/ Isamu is $400 plus s/h

I'm willing to sell the set for $600 plus s/h to keep them together.

Prices are firm. Not accepting trades.

  4. So it is time to let someone else enjoy this marvelously custom 1/48 Minmei Guard Thunderhammer. Custom was performed by Rohby.

It has never been transformed. Armor was only taken off 3 times. The cod piece had issues and sent back to Rohby. He still has it.

Here are pictures I took of it. As you can tell, Rohby's work is on a completely different level. This is one of the best customs in existence.

As you can see, the Valk underneath has a complete custom paintjob and applied decals.

Now onto the details. I paid $1200 for this. $600 for the custom Valk and $600 for the custom thunderhammer armor. It won Best in Show at the Macross World Con in 2008.

I would like $1000 obo. No trades.

  5. They did improve it. The cockpit is hidden. And the connection for combining is no longer the tail. I don't see room for serious improvement. Except the legs and rotation at the elbow joint.

Don't forget that this is Mattel. They don't know how to make giant robots. If bandai made this it would look better but be smaller than Golion Godaikin.

  6. Still a big MEH from me.

It really isn't anything amazing other than its size. When combined It will rival my Fort Max as biggest robot toy I have.

Repainting the legs won't make them fold up any better in limb mode.

. Nope. I do find the auto buttons a tad annoying too. The position of them is poorly planned. Bad marketing research. Someone who doesn't know adult collectors put this stupid crap in. All they need to do is look at SOC series.

But it makes up for it in size and accuracy. The only other giant voltrons was the Panosh Palace which is really bad and that hard to find trendmasters giant.

  7. I think this will be the largest toy Voltron.

Here is a pic of Jasonjupiter's modified giant Trendmasters Voltron.

Here is my Red Lion. HUGE!!!!

    dsc_0710.jpg

Seeing the first picture, It seems that the Mattel Red Lion is as tall as Golion. But the Trendmasters version doesnt seem as tall.

  8. Damn, that Rayven looks nice, but was disappointed to find out it was an electric flywheel gun :( If it was a manual cocking springer, I would have bought it for sure. Graham

    Like this?

I see no problem with this. I haven't seen any Rayvens in my area, time to look again!

Go to Target and punch this into the Price Checker in the aisle. 087-11-0079

  9. I picked up a Nerf Rayven the other day.

I integrated the Nerf Jolt so that it acts like a vertical grip, like a P90 and as a backup shot.

And this is my latest modifications. Magpul rails to add tacticool stuff. NV scope, IR light and a laser.

Oh here is video of my Rayven. Bullpups are awesome. So compact.

  10. Holy crap... Do want. Even being a flywheel blaster. Though I've never cared much for the whole "always on" functionality of flywheels. I saw someone make a mod to activate it with trigger pull, but it takes a couple seconds to bring the wheels up to speed.

That was SG Nerf, admin of Nerfsg forums. Actually if you overdrive the motor a bit with a lithium ion battery like 2x14500 and a spacer then there is hardly any lag. The 14500 is a rechargeable lithium ion battery that puts out 3.7 volts. hot off the charger it puts out 4.2v. Running two of these you get 8.4-7.4v more than enough for the motor to spin faster. I believe the higher rate of voltage gets the motors spinning faster and sooner. However I dont think it is a good idea to keep running them on for a long time. short burst.
