I'm not a huge fan of the Tamiya clear coats. I prefer using Testors (Poly-S) for my clear coats.

My process: Base Coat Future Decals Future Wash Gloss Coat (Future) or Matte Coat

What did you thin the oil paint with? I've never had a problem doing an oil wash over a Future base coat using odorless mineral spirits to thin the oil paints.

The exchange rate on the Austrailian Dollar isn't very favorable which would probably explain the higher price he has to pay plus shipping.
