OK I picked up a new router... 49.99... not bad... was initially a byatch to setup (out of the box set up for a newbie network, not for an established complex network) seems to be working great, please give it a try now.

With all that extra space you would think you could store a couple more rounds but that would increase the weight significantly. Or am I looking at it wrong? weight, also with that open space it allows for cooling of the barrels. one problem with putting amunition and hot-hot-super-hot barrels in the same confined space... they have a term for it... "cook off" the propellent starts spontaniously ignighting setting off a chain reaction in the amunition storage. Also known as "really exciting". Or "holyshitmygun'sexplodingI'mgonnadie!" hey I have seen a "low-level cook off" and it scares the living crap out of you. it was a semi-auto and every time it chambered a round it went off... shot off all 10 rounds like a machinegun (about 1/10th of a second). Good thing, IMO, that it only held 10 rounds.

Probably serves some kind of a kinetic recoil or maybe a turn actuator for a gas operated mechanism... hmmm good question... does look kewl though

I think I'm gonna go pick up a new router tomorrow, if that solves my "issues" I'll gladly host the files (just so I can have copies of them ) My server has 1.4GB available (and I probably could make more room if needed)

I should mention that I have been having "router issues" that might cause some problems, but otherwise it seems to be working ok.

Southcross - I can't make it go for me. It might be better if you zipped it up instead of leaving it a .mp3 file. you tried a "right click" and selecting "save target as.."?

well I can "share" but the deal is these files are HUGE! At the last time I checked the files were well over 120MB. And I'm still not done. The files are currently in B&W and I will have to convert them to color for my custom "images". Color can be almost 2-3x bigger. I might be able to do "printed" copies, but thats even trickier, as I would have to limit how many I can print. Otherwise my employer might get a little miffed. If I would share the files, I would distribute via CDR media. I would ask for a small "donation" for the work (and of course the CD + shipping). Depending on how this thing comes out... I might "break the mold" and possibly sell the completed model on ebay. I have an FTP server up and running now ... that would make it a lot easier to share the files... but unfortunatly I'd have to be a "nagger" and try to solicit donations if you download so I can afford to 1. register the FTP software and 2. to help pay for my Broadband ...

THere are supposedly 3-4 variants of the Phalanx with different heads out there. This is only one of them. I remember one of the variants has a machine gun head, another with the searchlights horizontal instead of vertical. I'm sure it's out on some RT site out there but I don't know if those were cannon or not... Although it appears the variants also made it into toy form somehow. do you mean like Nanashi's he has several depicted including the blue one

Looking at the Phalanxs... I think they are some kind of variant, they don't have the normal "search light" head. that or somekind of animation error. who knows maybe the person who did these cells might been on a long Acid trip that week... or colorblind

I'm looking at this pic closer... the "black and red" scheme? ehhh... IMO from the way the red "covers" the 'roid, it looks more like its standing in a shadow and there is some kind of a Red light casting a "glow" on him. Notice how it doesn't stop at the arm-joint, more it kind of extends over the edge. It looks like they were kind of playing with the lighting or something.... I almost want to say it still looks brown, just the effect of the lighting appearing to make it "black and red"

It should be as easy as converting a F-14 to a VF-1... Before Hasegawa brings us the YF-21 I spent a lot of my free time trying to figure out how to convert a YF-23 into Guld's valk... they look very similar but the differences are too big too. the problem with F-14s is that they are not proportionally the same as teh VF. the F-14 is too long.. but by itself no one would probably notice

twice, but im into the investigating fully the 1st 2, this is my 3rd time,,not counting the countless rewinds oh... well... the appearances in the first two episodes are one thing... but the "actual" event is clerified in the 4th Gulds reference to "forget what happened".. in his mind he wasn't the one that attacked Myung, he thinks Isamu did.... that is why he says "I won't let you mess things up" to Isamu. I'll have to see the vids again myself to be sure, but thats how I recall it.

thats not exactly true.. Guld blacked out and "thought" that Isamu tryied to rape her (or did)... then at the end of ep 4 Guld has a massive flashback then "remembers" that HE was the one that almost raped Myung... he realized at that point that Isamu and Myung KNEW and never told him, to protect him from himself (is how I interpret it). All this time Guld hated Isamu for something Guld didn't remember doing himself. my interpretation: From the clips I have seen I'm guessing that Guld saw Isamu and Myung hugging and he just went apeshit. The story seems to show that Myung loved both Isamu and Guld (Isamu a little more)... Guld was majorly in love with (had a crush on)Myung from the sounds of it... and when he saw them together his "possessive" rage took over. So many possible interpretations to debate over... for one thing its a stated fact that he "forgot" or "blocked out the memory" of what he himself did. watched it last night,,sorry man, the flashback was in ep 2 on volume 1 still in the DVD player, thiers no sugestion that he thought anything of Isamu, just that he is very reckless and he was jelous of him and Myung. In the 1st meeting between Guld and Myung, he tells her not to think about thier "past" and on episode 2 is when he sees Isamu holding Myung half naked and clutching to Isamu, how would he think that Isamu was the one who "abused" her. he would remember it diferently, dont ya think? And whats PTSD,,,,STD? ya I understand that... but have you seen ep 3 and 4 yet? near the end of ep 4 in the OVAs his flashbacks are "complete" and you see what really happened
