  1. Have you succeeded to remove the pin that holds hips plate together with the wheel mechanism with the cockpit ? How did you do that ?
  2. After a few decent Bandai releases (VF-25A, YF-29 Isamu) I received my YF-19 Arcadia and decided to further support Arcadia for their very high quality and the headache-free pre-orderings ! I will do exceptions for Bandai's new molds like the YF-30, but Arcadia has now my entire attention!
  3. I am better be warned than harm a macross No pb from me, any advice is welcome.
  4. I would try that, if I got more success with a mallet
  5. I admit that these landing gears are pure sparkles in the eye. The FUD material from 3D printing is rumored of being not very tough. But until now, I haven't had a bad surprise.
  6. I am stuck with the VF-25 I can't fin a way to open the VF-25 my way to the landing gears No visible openings for the legs to access the rear gears and I have a metallic rod I can't find how to remove for the front gear. Anyway, I got my way to the gears with the VF-1s, and it will be an easy fix for the front gear, and a little more complicated with the rear gears because of the lack of place in the compartment, but doable I think if I cut a portion and enlarge the gear flaps ! Stay tuned!
  7. I just tried to disassemble the VF-25 to remove the front landing gear, and I am blocked to this point. If you look closer, there is a mettalic rod that attach 3 components together with the fuselage: -the metallic landing gear -the dark grey metallic cage that holds the gear and the axis-bar -the axis bar that hold the hips and legs I tried and it seems firmly attached inside, as if it was glued. This rod is clearly visible in fighter mode, do you know how to remove it gently ?
  8. thank you Just assembled the O-ring and trying to figure out how to fix the gears. I made a few shots to see how it could look like.
  9. Very nice addons as always, the tutorial is really well made. It makes me wanting one even if I know I have a high probability to mess up with the painting lol!
  10. I wanted to share this project I am working because I don't have that much time for it and that I am a little un-experienced in custom builds. At this stage, I made a pack where you can combine different shapes so that the gears could differ slightly from one configuration to the other. The project started from this picture of Alto's VF-25 on the grass (http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu238/moncikoma/promotion/sample_a743d181235a69104232a39c1ebb02c1.jpg) and I liked much more the rear landing gears pictured in it. I also checked the lineart (http://www.macross2.net/m3/macrossf/vf-25f/vf-25-lineart4.gif) and couldn't determined if the landing gears are supposed to be straight or if we could apply to them a little angle. Even in the Macross movie where we clearly see the YF-29's gears retracting, this isn't so obvious. So I went ahead and designed the rear gears for the VF-25 in mind, later I made an adaptation for the VF-1 (because the VF-0 is sexy with this kind of gears) When I was at designing the rear gears, I decided to test a design for the front gear, at this stage I remembered that a front gear is so nicely posed when rotated. I decided to make the front gear rotating. After that I examined the tolerance of the 3D-printing materials and I wanted to test if a complete suspension system could be printed. So I made the front gear with a complete suspension system, rotating left/right, the wheels are rotating also. I went back to the rear gears and designed the suspension system for them also, for VF-1 and VF-25. At this point the rear gears have rotating wheels, suspension system and they can be retracted straightly. You will need O-rings European size 4 to fit the front gears, size 5 for rear gears. At this point, the VF-25 and VF-1 retracting systems are a bit different. I made different sets to test and see how they can be integrated to the each system. If one feel confident enough to make its own custom, feel free to print them from Shapeways! http://www.shapeways.com/model/1878540 (Frost Ultra Detail only) https://www.shapeways.com/model/1878462 (flexible parts required for the suspension) A few early shoots of the printed test sample:
  11. Great job takatoys! Your 19 is gorgeous, do you still make custom stickers?
  12. AE is sold out, in seconds ....
  13. The little tabs that you remove on the original battroid to clip the super parts missile pod located on the shoulders, I presume ?
  14. Ah yep, thanks for the correction.
  15. Are these Super parts only available on a pre-order basis? Or will they also be available as a regular release at the same time of the YF-29?
  16. This is one sexy fighter
  17. I understand why some would not like the way the high speed mode gimmick has been implanted. But this is so much better and stable now than the old 19. I still remember how many times I found the old 19's wings being bent to much forward and thought it would break. The new 19 doesn't suffer from this risk and can even make it in high speed mode, I am quiet happy that the wings have been improved. But I admit that the wings should have more restricted movements and also feature locks or tabs for each position.
  18. It could if only frost detailled material was used but, you would not be able to transform it back to fighter with it equipped so perhaps this is not so much important to have it articulated?
  19. Hopefully a VF-30 or YF-31 !
  20. what about like the old Yammy stands ? You can have much more flexibility, and still no need for a screw, only a clipsing cap to prevent the mechanism to slide out
  21. The VF-19 mold is gorgeous ... but this Basara paint scheme is terrible !! I can't help remembering the VF-19 prototype unpainted sexiness
  22. There is a lot of 19 love in this vitrine ! nice collection
  23. Just let me know when you take order for these ! And keep us updated about the VF-1s adapters !! I got plenty of these ones without stand. PS: I am also looking the Stands for 1/60 VF thread
  24. I am in for a few also, BUT is it possible to add a last rotate axis so that we can display the fighter like if it is turning ? like this:
