  1. Hehe its leaning aginst my flashlight to take the picture. hehe
  2. here is a picture of a Destroid I broke as a kid. So naturally I redid it and well lets just say I did LOTS of Battle damage. I used a Plane Xacto Hobby knife and widdled holes some larger some smaller. When you do battle damage. use your Imagination. Think of what a Busted up Destroid or Figher would look like and keep going. If you have any questions PM me Ranger565
  3. Thank you very much for your comment. Stay tuned for pictures of my Traditionl VF-1A super that I have been working on. I have modeled it as if its in preperation for the Last battle. Ranger565

    An idea

Hey guys, To me any macross model if somthing that we dont have would be nice. Yes I have emailed them about the Cats eye and sent them pictures of it. But this is OUR chance to Maybe get a good Kit of any special thing we have always Wanted to see. Yes, we have seen a Cats eye, but I can prob name 100people on this forum what would buy one in the blink of an eye if SMT offered one. But i would love a GLUG or even one of those Macross shuttles( the one that delivered Misa to earth) These guys are asking for your imput. So my suggestion is give it to them. But like I said. a NEW cast of a Cats Eye from a Company that knows what they are doing could give us somthing that so many of us have been wanting and Tenman could not deliver. like I said in my title its just 'An Idea"

Guys I was not suggesting a Recast at all. I was suggesting that They May just take up a NEW Kit all togeather and We can forget about Tanmen.

    An idea

Well guys is seems the People over at Scale Model Technologies are looking for ideas to make kits. Well I was thinking since so many of you guys are Looking for a Cat's Eye, maybe it would not be a bad Idea to send them a letter? What you think? If they get some serious Numbers of intrest it may give them a Idea to look into. Heck they got a Monster kit comming out soon. here is a quote from the main webpage http://smt.theshoppe.com/ What kit would you like to see? We want your input! What spaceship would you like to see as a kit? In the months ahead we are planning the following releases: Another independent design by Alfred Wong 1:48 Galactica shuttle (summer release finally!) Thunderbirds - any interest? We've had several inquires into a larger Thunderbird 2 to start. Babylon 5 - We've had several inquires into ships from this show. Email us and let us know. So the way I see it is. 1. they make money for a Cats Eye. 2. We all get a Kit we all Really want. you can email them here smtemail@telusplanet.net Well anyway its just a simple Idea.
  7. Here is my Completed Lancer II, I weathered it up a bit and chiped decals and paint to give it a Used look. Great little model Resin kit. Let me know what you think
  8. Hey Guys, Well I found a way to Convert a Bandi VF-1J SUPER Max Type to a Gerwalk VF1J Miria With arms As you know, I dont know any 1/72 scale Gerwalk SUPER VF-1J. However with this kit it is possiable, and with a little patience it should look fine. Here is a picture of the kit http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00236.JPE Now that you know what Kit I am Talking about lets get down the the Conversion Stuff you will need! 1. GOOD hobby knife (as always) 2. Sheet of Styrene (FLAT ) sheet Picture of the Styrene that can be bought at a local Hobby shop http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00238.JPE Now First find the Model part that looks like This. Its is #110 of the Kit http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00229.JPE Once you have this part number #110 CUT along the Edge of this Line marked in Red http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00229b.JPE Once you have the pieces Separated and sanded down to make them smooth you need to makea side wall with your Plasitic Styrene http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00234.JPE once you have made your wall cut from the Styrene you can putty it up do whatever you need and will look like this when finished http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00230.JPE Here is a picture of what I have completed so far All the parts that you need to make the LEGS and arms are Included in this kit. The only Piece that is not included is The Forarm Armor for the VF-1J so you need to cut and make what I have done. Now the Model I have is not quite finished but You can see what results I will have once I am done. its just a simple cut and Glue and you can take a Cheep easy to find model and make it a Conversion here are the extra parts included Well I hope you like the Idea. Its something I have come up with. However NOW I find there is trouble with my paint sceme. however I am working on research. For 1 thing I do know. the "TRADITIONAL" Miria Fighter did NOT Have Red Armor on the Legs like in this Yamato To come out soon. and HER Arm armor is NOT blue its RED. This yamato picture of her super is a NO NO Ranger565
  9. I am just thinking of the Money a company like Hasegawa could make if they even made a Plastic Model of a Cats Eye
  10. Hey Baronv, Just wanted to show you what you get with this kit. I have had mine about a month or so and been working on it hear and there. Here is the FULL kit, However I have started working on mine, and you will notice that some parts are primed and are also glued, and I have also been working with my Model putty. Its really a Great KIT, Clean up of the Resin was not that bad. Kit fits very well and I had very little Resin Air Holes. I would like to have this kit complete in about 2 weeks. hehe Depends on how my work goes. I grabed the kit fast when I first saw it. I only hope one day I can get my hands on one of those Cats Eyes Ranger565
  11. Well this Card came out of a Bandi Kit I built years ago. I have others, and other pictures from the old kits. Not sure if they are a value to you all but I figure that many people dont really see a cockpit all that often in that detail. Ranger565
  12. Hey guys I noticed that on the Model picture page of the Website, that this card was missing with info. This is from 1984 kit I had. Other side of card has Good Cockpit detail. I have LOTS of old pictures like this. if you need anything in specific, Send me a PM. Just thought that since Cockpit detail is hard to find, this would be a good help to many of you. Front Back Hope this is some good information.
  13. Oh well I figured with the sarcasum that YOu guys could care less. Oh well I will delete the Pic. Sorry to dissapoint you all <_
  14. Grayson72 hey thank you for the pic, Beautiful Models. And thank you for the Info. I picked up a Khaki from my local Home Depot. I think That is the color I am looking for.

  16. Humm very intrested in knowing what Brown was used in that Model link you posted for me, What Company that is would be helpfull, or is it a mixed custom color?
  17. Ranger565

    Custom 1/48 CF

Could you refer me to what Color Brown you used? and what company? Thank you
  18. No DARL, just Macross Origional eposodes. I wont even be putting the Big box missles. just the 6 Large round cluster missles from the Last battle
  19. Hey guys, I am currently working on a Hasegawa 1/72 Super VF-1A, and I am courious that maybe the Paints I am using is not in correct color. Here is a Picture of 2 VERY OLD VF-1A I built about 15 years ago. I remember what paints I used. For the Tan on both Fighers, I used "Testors Model Master Dark Tan FS-302919" For the Blue Boosters of the fast packs on the Super I used "Testors Model Master Intermediate Blue FS-35164" I would like to know if the Tan is too Dark? or if the Blue is Just not correct? Can you suggest a Better Color? Company of Paint? ETC. What I Hope is that you can give me an idea of What you think works. I Know for a FACT that Traditional VF-1A standard had Blue Boosters and Armor. However I know that Skull-1 had a Greenish color Boosters and armor. So if you know a Paint color you guys think is better, more vibrant, Please let me know. Also if you know a Better Paint Company. If you think its fine then I will continue to use the Same old Paints to give the same paint scheme. Over all this new model will be a Traditional VF-1A from the Macross Last battle. Thank you for your Feedback Ranger565

    need help

I am sorry I use an Air Brush, I use Paint brush for smaller jobs and fine detail
  23. Humm cool idea, The only thing with me is I am a Traditional Macross fan. Dont get me wrong DRYL was good, but For my VF-1 models I want a Traditional Looking Pilot not the DRYL that Hasegawa provides. Here I am kind of in a Loss on what to do.
