  1. Its amazing How many auctions I have Lost to on Ebay, then Find out that the Seller wants to sell the Item to be because the person who out bid me Backed out of the bid. I laughed at this one guy who Bid on an item that was worth 20 USD, and he backed out when It ended up going for 200 USD because he thought his max bid would NEVER get to that High. He was sniped at the end and Had a Max bid of 199.00 its almost like someone knew he bid that high. in this Auction it was for an X-men Comic book. I was the 3rd person on the list, I ended up getting the item for 35 USD, because The 2 guys Backed out. and My max bid was 35.00.

IF you want to snipe on an auction I am bidding. go for it. But be ready to pay for it.

  2. Well All I can say is that from a buyer point of View. I am tired of Ebay, I keep trying to Bid fair, but people jacking up prices on Kits that dont even need to be 100 USD is Making me want to stop bidding. Sure I will bid on small stuff. or Use the "Buy it now". No offence but I feel that snipping and stuff should be stoped. If you dont have the Balls to sit at the comp at the end of the auction and bid on an items like Normal, Then you dont need to be bidding. Having some outside Computer program bid for you at the last second with your max bid at 500 USD is insane. I do not have a problem with EBay max bid, But only the outside programs to snipe. I tell you what, I would warn you. I have seen people get screwed because they had a snipe of 300 and end up Paying 280.00 when they only really intened to pay 35.00 US dollers. Or people who are like me could wreck your day by bidding high(and Believe me I can Affored it) and make you pay 6X what a Item is worth. So with no snipping and Fair auction. I am all for it. So I am all For this new auction, but I am against an auction staying open till the bidding stops. I feel they should all be timed.

  3. I guess to me the older kits such as the 1/160 monster or the 1/72 Tomahawk are ktis you just cant buy much of anymore. So you to me just owning the kit with the box is nice. Sure you can build the kit. and toss the box but man you may not get another. But a 1/100 Spartan old box is more valuable to me then a box thats 15th Aniversury :D

  4. Hey all,

Trying to prove a point to a friend of mine. I collect old macross kits NOT just because I want to have it, but because of Box Art. I told my friend that Some of the old kits are nice to have just because of the Artwork. He looked at me Like i was nuts. I told him. I dont even plan to build some of these kits, just to have them as collectors items. So I am wondering if any of you feel the same way? Just because a 1/100 Tomahak is the same in a 15th Aniversery box, To me is not the same as a 1983 1/100 Box. To my friend its the same model so why pay for a box?

Well anyway am I alone in this thought? Or have i proven my Best friend wrong

  6. Ok well Lets not turn this thread into a battle, We have corrected the information, I was wrong because I found this Info on a web page. I had no idea what the name of Bifor was. But with a little time and a little luck I will have these made up and we can make our kits look a little more Real.

I do this because I enjoy this Community, I have learned alot from you guys over the past year and I feel that I can give something back, Even if its the shape of a small resin made Item.

  7. Ok well I found the Name of the rocket/missle on the web. Sorry Nanashi, but I went to your webpage first and your webpage is NOT up yet. I had to look on other sites to find pictures. So IF they called what you say they are called. that Info to me was not made. So who cares if they are a missle or a Pop Cap. Point is I was making these to Upgrade kits of people. I respect your work and Understand, But please forgive my Ignorance if I cannot Find info that you possess. Thank you for explaining. However These missles, Rockets, Plungers, Or whatever you want to call them, will still look like the pictures posted from actual Macross Books. Does not matter what they are called as long as people on this website want to Make there kits look like the show they can do so.

I believe ever good modeler must do research. I spent 3 months on my CF Before I made it. I enjoy making my Macross kits Look more real. Its because the more real they look the more Proud I am of showing a kit off.

Ps. I really respect your work Nenashi and I respect your Info. I wish I had it before I called them what I saw on a webpage. I cant read Japanese, so all I have to go on is a picture. Again thank you for the Correction. Could you also Please Give me the Name and Specification that you speek of? that way there will be no more confusion.

  8. OK well I will be working on them as best as I can. Once I get a few things in order I can mass produce them for you jessee. Just an FYI both Spartin and Tomahawk hold 24 Missles each. 12 each side. I will try my best to make you 12 missles as soon as I can. I do work alot. So Its hard sometimes other then on my day off.

  9. Hey everyone,

Here is the 1/72 scale Lockheed ATM-01 Rapier Missle that I have been working on.

This was first discussed in the topic found here:

    http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=12711

And now it has become somewhat a Reality. I worked on this for about 5 hours and was able to sculp a first draft to the Rapier found on both Spartin and Tamahawk destroids.

Well If things go right I will work on the 1/100 scale tomorrow. Jessee said that he could Cast this in Resin. I dont see how hard it could be. If this tends to work out. I will start to create other Class of missles.

I will also create Missle mounts for the Spartin. IF you want to use them on a 1/72 scale Tomhawk you can just drill holes. I will show pictures of the mounts and a few Tips to modifing the kits when I have the racks complete for the Spartin shoulders.

NOTE: the Spoiler fins,on the back of the missle, are not needed you wont see them at all.

Well let me know what you think.

  10. Hey Jessee I found this Image of the Spartin and Tomahawk Rapier missle. Let me get to my local hobby store and buy some Supplies. I maybe able to scupt this from some Plastic Styrene or wooden stick. It could be made 1/100 or even 1/72. I would like to give it a try.

    rapier2.jpg

15 years ago when I built this Spartin I was able to cut away the Shoulder doors and Use a plastic sheet of styrene to Make a Missle bay. Then i just cut the small white rubber pegs to the Game Battleship. I am sure you all know the game and Supper glued them to the styrene I had mounted into the shoulder bay. I then made 2 door supports to hold the door open. I wish I thought to sculpt the Missles from a plastic Styrene rod. For a project of this now. I would not need to add the fins to the missle just shape it and creat place for the missles to attach. So give me a few days since the hobby shop I got to is closed on Sundays. I will buy Plastic PVC or Styrene and some wood and see if I cant sculpt a missle. then maybe Someone like jessee can Make a small cast.
