  1. That's certainly very interesting. I'm not too familiar with the Yamato scene but I can't imagine there would be more of those around than 1/72 Hasegawa VF-1? And they don't seem to be available anymore? Everywhere I looked, they are sold out. And ebay has some really killer price. LOL. If I were to make and paint the 1/60 pieces, the price would surely be upwards of USD250.
  2. @Valkyrie, 1/60? How about 1/48? @PetarB, Oh I have seen your completed model of the Booster. In fact, I pretty much dig thru all photos that I can find thru Google and yours was amongst those I saved on my PC for reference. Actually, with only 2 lineart in existence, who is to which model is more correct? I recently found Moscato's original build log (after I finished mine!!) and he himself said that the linearts themselves contradict each other. I certainly think that his looks a lot bigger than mine but mine have a more correct shape? Who knows really.
  3. Yeah I would be interested to compare mine to the Moscato version.
  4. @chyll2, not too sure yet but currently targeting USD90 to USD120. @Valkyrie, yes this one is for the 1/72 Hasegawa kits.
  5. Thanks guys! Yes it's 3D printed.
  6. Hi all, Been a while since I posted here. Actually been a while since I did much modeling. Anyway, I'm sure this is a subject familiar to most here. The VF-1 Atmospheric-Escape Booster. We of course had the John Moscato version and that was the only game in town. I think that was a great kit but I wanted to try recreate it. This is where I am at so far. What do you think? Would you be interested in this kit? Thanks!
  7. Thanks for the pics. I do have some plans and drawings but they are hand drawn for my own reference only and no way as complete as yours!
  8. Thanks guys but this is still far from being complete. I am not sure about making casts because of the complexity and large undercuts. I am not sure if you guys would be interested enough to warrant it too.
  9. I'm sorry.. actually I haven't. I didn't find your works when I searched the forum. I sure would like to see them! I would like to share with you but the hands are purely sculpted out of freeform, I didn't draw any plans for them.
  10. Yes! Actually a couple of weeks old now cos the MW forum was down. (LOL.. I need a tutorial on how to use this new Invision version.) Enjoy!
  11. bhop: Heh. Nice to see you here. >EXO<: Everything is scratchbuild. Including the hands (they are called Crow Hands. Cool. ) honneamise: Nice to see a comment from a master scratch-builder like yourself. I plan to make it as re-poseable as possible but I will not sacrifice details over poseability. Meaning the knee/elbow joints will probably be static.
  12. Yes, I make detailed calculations and plans based on the Nichimo kit. I don't think there is any way this can be done by 'cutting and fitting'.
  13. Ermm.. that is a bit too general a question no? " If you have any more specific questions I may be able to answer you.
  14. A little more progress over the weekend.
  15. Thanks guys. Think I have all the dimensions and references worked out already. Its gonna to be 1/100 BTW.
