    Macross Books

Yeah. Just go to the site sankakucomplex.com and image search "macross" on their little album on the left. Sometimes, the Japanese are just plain weird... and sick... The places I end up at just for Macross hahaha.

Ugh, just found it and it's pornographic fan art. It's from a site called sankakucomplex.

    Macross Books

The katakana descriptions kinda threw me off that maybe it was a book from Japan or something. Thanks for the info. I'll post here if we ever get the source. But yeah, I suspect it's just from some deviant art page or some Japanese guy's fan art.

    Macross Books

Some guy posted it in our local forum claiming that it's concept art and won't divulge where he got it. Nutjob keeps on claiming that this and that are his property when they're clearly just stuff that he got from the Internet. Good thing he isn't a member here as he's a headache to deal with. Google image search comes up zero as well. Would still want to find the source. Would also be quite surprised if it's really concept art as I haven't seen an art book with images drawn and colored this way. So I asked here in case somebody has seen this before.

Would anyone know which art book this one came from?
  6. I haven't visited the site in months. Any news if they're selling the stands that came with these separately?
  7. Yeah, but I'd like to keep it to 1/72. I don't have much shelf space. Heck I haven't even bought a shelf yet, and most of my Yamatos are inside a cabinet. But if I find em cheap locally, I might as well try those 1/48s as well.
  8. Thanks Hervé. How I wish they'd reissue that kit... I came aboard the Macross train a bit too late when it comes to toys and kits.
  9. Oh joy... I hope the local store can help me out with this. Maybe I should bring some pictures, or a VF-1J Miria and see which colors he could provide me with. They have a color wheel (forgot what it's called, samples of how the color look in a binder and sometimes on a panel). They had a sample of Vallejo's Premium Cobalt Blue, but it felt too dark for me for Max. Then again, I should bring a sample or picture to color match. I've only recently started (well planning to start anyway) on kit building when I found some old kits on sale at a local store. Got this for $5 http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/bandai/46231i.jpg and a Hasegawa Macross 7 VF-22S for a bit more. Bought the last two of each that they have so I could (try) paint them in Max and Miria colors. Better mess with the cheap kits to get a hang of this before moving on to the more complex ones right? Thanks for the info guys!
  10. Sorry to butt in your thread man, but would you or anyone know what kind of red I can use for Millia from Vallejo Acryllics? It's the only paint that's readily available near my place. Same goes for what kind of blue for Max?
  11. Thanks for the tip Vifam. You have a thread that I can follow on your red custom? I guess if I'm to go for a custom paint job, the white base would be better. Although, from what I can see (from the blurry pics), the decals would closely resemble the VF-25G so I'm thinking that I'll be able to use the decals from the kit. Or maybe even the stickers left over from my current VF-25G. I'm not sure why the numbers on the wing reads "101" though, or where I would be able to get them as decals for that matter. Also, I'm not sure if they're correct, but the people who have played the game say its a red VF-25S. Either way, I'm not too worried about accuracy since it would be a custom work anyway. Would you know what kind of specific color of red that would be in Tamiya acrylic? Or any other paint for that matter? So I have a reference to look up. Thanks!
  12. Hey, I'm really new in building these things and hope someone can help me out here for a bit. I recently got the 1/72 VF-25G kit locally for a good price and was very happy to find a lot of websites with tons of info on how to build it, properly paint it, and more. Also found a lot of english manuals for the other fighters from the series as well. I'm not really planning on getting all planes from the series since I've always been more of a fan of Max and Milia colors. So I was really bummed when Macross Frontier ended without a red VF-25 I was randomly searching google when I found a PSP game that has a red VF-25, but it's quite blurry... (It's at 2:28) http://www.youtube.c...JFnPwudA#t=148s Would anyone have a clearer photo of that or maybe line art of sorts? I'm planning on getting another VF-25 and maybe try my luck on doing a custom color and have it painted red. From what I'm seeing, maybe I can get another VF-25G and just replace all blue parts with red paint. I'm not sure about the decals, but since there's no official plane, I'm content enough with using the decals from Michel's VF-25G. If there's an existing forum or project similar to this one, kindly send me the link. Thanks!
