  1. Firstly, you can only safely get it from japanese sites. Why, coz all other resellers are basically screwed by the japs on quantity allocation, so unless you r the gambling type, go jap! Secondly, NY, HLJ and other japanese sites are basically in japan meaning they will open within 9-5pm (Japan TIme)! Although so, i find they usually put them up in the evening ard 4-5pm (Japan TIme for those still wondering!) Thirdly, on NY where there is a link on the product page which notifies you when there is a preorder "re-opening" (Their first has no notification, additional re-openings at higher mark-up has). Lastly, other sites have no early warning, so you basically have to make it like spidey, when a preorder comes knocking, your spidey sense go ting-a ling! Else you r basically screwed like me!
  2. Considering the fact that i get so pissed that i missed about 80% 90% of the vf preorders in a time span of <5 mins, i would say it's a helluva useful 5 mins! I have immensely bad luck with timing (aka i missed ALL the recent preorder timing!) If only all preorders would come with that early warning, i would not have to spend so much time in frustration and F5ving madly in faint hopes that a preorder would magically appear only to miss it by <5 MINS coz i looked away for a bit!
  3. Hell yeah, bring it on!!! One question though, whats next? It think that basically covers all the old valks! Unless they are relooking into Macross Quarter and Konig!!!
  4. Hmm, my most costly piece would be the newly acquired Fewture Shin Getter fig at ard $620. Others which i have spent around $300-$400+ on are plentiful though (Fewture Getter 1,2,3, Black Getter 1, SDF1, VF-4G, Sideshow Arthas & Diablo, ThreeA Ambush, Midas & Atom, PG Strike Freedom and each for 10" Nendoroids Yui & Ryofuko) Damn, spending too much on figs but excruciatingly addictive!
  5. I beg to differ. In comparison to similar big time manufacturers like Yamato, Good Smile, Alter, Megahouse, i would say Bandai are the only ones that does reissues the most frequently & regularly if any at all! When they first did the renewal, i have already anticipated the reissue to come out! What i didn't expected though was it was damned much harder(aka expensive) to get Alto's VF-25F the second time round! Whereas, tamashi web exclusives are well, tamashi's so i wouldn't connect them directly to bandai themselves. They i agree are not very active in reissues. I would not bet on them putting up reissues anytime soon. I would understand their situation too as they are only providing optional parts and accessories and not a sellable item themselves. Therefore it does not make much business sense to go through another round of processing just for a small potential sales. Unlike the first round of renewal sales, i believe the 2nd round quantity pales in comparison to the first as the market gets saturated.
  6. I would say the VF19 Kai and 19s are quite the same, others i would agree with you therefore bringing the total to 5 types of valks. However i would still prefer macross frontier coz: 1. They have 5 types of valks (VF25s, VF27, YF29, VF171 and the Koenig Monster) Although some may have similar transformation, i still love it based on the visual gratification it provides 2. They have the battleship Macross Quarter 3. They have add-on!! Just like McD's super size me haha!! 4. I totally love Macross Frontier!! The visual, the valks, the story and the song choice (Diamond Crevasse, Northern Cross, Anata no Oto) totally clicks with me!! Haha quite visible from the fact that i m letting go of my whole macross collection except MF!
  7. Ya just to clarify, the renewal is only for the old VF-25 valks, there is no renewal for new ones like the VF171EX/ CF or YF29. Although, i like most people are hoping for a renewal for the old VF27s, Koenig Monster and Macross Quarter!
  8. Hmm skullmilitia has given a nice breakdown on whats available so i wouldn't touch on that. However i would brief you a bit on MF backstory and sets released/ to be released for your easy reference Basically you came in just bout the beginning of a 2nd release save a few so just hit on those which already had a 2nd release and for the rest, just wait for the 2nd release As for the add-on parts, at the moment there's only 1 release so time shall tell if there is a 2nd release! 1. Alto (Main Dude) - VF-25F Renewal (1st Release Oct 11', 2nd Release Aug 13') (Super Parts May 12') (Armor Parts Aug 12') - VF 171EX (1st Release July 12') (Super Parts Jan 13') - YF29 (1st Release July 11', 2nd Release June 12') (Super Parts Dec 11') 2. Ozma (Main Dude's Mentor/Superior) - VF-25S Renewal (1st Release Jan 12') (Super Parts May 12') (Armor Parts Aug 12') 3. Micheal (Main Dude's Good Friend) - VF-25G Renewal (1st Release Oct 12') 4. Luca (Main Dude's Other Friend) - RVF-25 Renewal (1st Release July 13') Other Valks - 5. Breira Sterne (Main Dude's "Girlfriend"'s Bro) - VF-27 (1st Release Mar 10') 6. Grace O'Connor (Main Dude's 2nd "Girlfriend"'s Manager) - VF-27 (1st Release July 10') 7. Roy Focker (Nothing to do with the story, just valk affiliation for 30th Anniversary) - YF-29 (1st Release Nov 12', 2nd Release Apr 13') (Super Parts June 13') 8. Canaria (Mechanic?) - Koenig Monster/ Sheryl Ver (1st Release Oct 10') 9. Macross Ship - Macross Quarter (1st Release Jan 10') 10. Mass Production Valk - VF-171 CF (1st Release May 13') (Super Parts Oct 13') On side note, the model number basically denotes the valk type and mould, meaning: VF-25F, VF-25S, VF-25G, RVF-25 has the same base mould VF-171EX, VF-171CF has the same mould That's basically it. Unless i missed anything!
  9. Yeah, in case anyone's wondering, i do ship internationally. Just drop me a message and i can give a shipping estimate. Eg. Shipping to the US is a bit pricey at $65 for the first set, but any additional sets shipped together costs $25 a piece Also just added my VF-4G to the list as he seems very lonely without any other Yamato VFs around. Oh ya, on a side note, am i in violation of any rules posting my ebay list here? Just thought that the topic was similar to my post so that's why i just posted my mesg here.
  10. Haha no complains there, just surprised at what value it could go for elsewhere!
  11. Yup, from Singapore Do feel sad/ reluctant to let them go, as i do love them, especially the SDF-1 and VF-4G. Reason for letting go, haha the common ones, lets see: 1) Girlfriend is complaining of my excessive collection-checked! 2) Running out of space-checked! 3) Hmm would like to say saving up for Macross Frontier but they are already almost complete, so most likely will use it to fund my Fewture Getter figs (they cost bloody $450 a piece!) - checked! Oh which ones do you feel are on the high side? I do try to keep my price as similar to what i paid for them including shipping, albeit a bit of mark up on some due to the sky high price around to balance out some figs which i have to lower similarly due to the low interest in them
  12. Haha so happens i am actually letting go of my macross collection. Still keeping my macross frontier collection though I just listed them on ebay albeit not at the crazy prices others have listed so do take a look. I do believe the listings are set for domestic buyers atm coz do not know how to set for international buyer yet Just drop me a pm on ones you want! .....Hmm just sold my VT-1 at $277, much lower than this ken tung guy! http://www.ebay.com.sg/sch/shawnlee1981/m.html?item=261201427502&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649&_trksid=p4340.l2562
  13. Surprisingly found one site still offering the SP set for Alto. Also still available is the SP and AP for Ozma. So anyone still looking for them make a quick visit to yokattaweb before its gone!
  14. It's very simple actually. Big retailers like Amiami, Hobby Search n HLJ r just too big to be bothered to cater to an individual item or individual customer's needs. They buy in bulk n sell in bulk, dats about it. Whereas a more niche retailer like Nippon Yasan is more flexible and would do more to get more sales, aka reordering selective items depending on market interest! Ps: they will also offer better customer service to retain customers
  15. Hmm, with all the problems around the missed pre-orders, i do have a solution for future ones or any existing ones which pops up irregularly sometimes. As i am living in about the same time zone as japan, and coupled that with my very frequent visit to online sites as well as this forum, i got a very good chance of getting in on preorders. So the easy solution comes like this; akin the alert box, i do not mind dropping a miscall thru skyppe for people (hopefully not that many) if anythin comes up on the radar
