But with Kawamori focused on The Next, I am concerned he wont have had much time for the Delta Movie.

Thanks for your reply. Such post is worthwhile for me to tell the members here about some news not translated into English.

Yeah, I talked to a Japanese fan about it recently; we wondered if The Next is the new TV series i n 2018 or not. If not, it means Kawamori-san has to handles with 3 different projects simultaneously. IMO, it's impossible.

The NEW PROJECT BRIEFING of The Next will be broadcast on Niconico on Oct 17. I have to watch it and confirm what it is.

  2. I don't know what kind of those ones are and googled. My understanding is those are the catalogs which some department stores release for the mail order for their customers who cannot come to their own shops easily; like those of L.L. Bean, REI, Lands' End and so on.

Sorry, but I don't know such ones in Japan. My country is small compared to the U.S. and we can go to some shops easily. Besides, the image of mail order things was a little worse at the time. In such method of purchase we couldn't recognize the quality of the items on the catalogs and tend to avoid it in the past. Yeah, this is mainly my personal opinion, but some of my aquaintances said the same thing about mail order.

I bet it is used for both. I've seen many female Kaname's. There is one in Full Metal Panic as well for example.

You mean fictional people? Sorry, but I don't know any actual female ones whose name is Kaname.

It's a unisex name, something that from my experience is actually fairly popular in Japan.

(Hell, Macross's original leading man, Hikaru Ichijo, has a given name that's used for girls as often as for boys.  Most of the Hikarus I know, in person and in fiction, are female.)

Yeah, Hikaru is a popular unisex name. For example, Hikaru Nishida's name was decided by her parents before she had been born because it is usable for both sexes. She is also famous as a native English speaker because she had been grown up in Los Angeles.

You know, Makoto is also popular one. I know many actual and fictional male/ female Makotos. One of them is my relatives.

If that's what you think, then fine I guess, but... like, I dunno how her having a male name (even though it isn't strictly) has any bearing on the fact that she's without a doubt best girl.

    Indeed.
