Not sure if this was listed yet - but a new set of M&M V2s came up on Yahoo.
They sold for 63,000 and 46,000 yen . . .
To be fair, it's quite possible that some malicious bidding may have happened as the person who got both was trying to win several Vf-1 from the same seller. I can understand the psychology of the runner-up bidders! Most sell at 35,000ish usually.
-
not sure the market price equals the vf-1d 30th w/ option parts bc roy had so many release verisons due to being very popular. but this particular one doesn't come up often. i'd say it's hard to find.
I remember that the VF-1d and the Dark Bird were very hard to find after the pre-orders closer, even at eBay. Upon release they shot up in price instantly there, while the VF-1s (all of them) were available everywhere for a long time. Even the VE-1 must have had a larger number of copies floating around.

1/60 Yamato V2 Super VF-1J Milia Type - new: 63,000 JPY (Before proxy fees and shipping to your country)
http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/185137813
1/60 Yamato V2 Super VF-1J Max Type - new: 46400 JPY (Before proxy fees and shipping to your country)
Look at the auctions of great absurdity thread. I posted that one there as i was watching it live! The person who bid actually won several other VF-1 from the same seller so i'm guessing it was someone who was starting a collection rather than completing it (great timing, lol)
I'd sooner hold onto them because I fear Arcadia will do something silly to the re-releases....like add gold or chrome bits...or no fast packs!!!
Which may explain the above auctions!

Sorry to asking this but is it build with the renewal body? or a renewal prophecy could be come in few month?
Yes on the revised VF-25.
Can't wait
me too, although the very precise paint lines worry me a bit!

I'm sure the winner hopes that a re-issue never happens!

I just played with my YF-29 for a bit to get prepared for transforming the YF-29 Ozma Custom and something is just not right with this toy. Out of the box it hat like super loose joints everywhere a super messy paint job on some of the detail and chipped of paint everywhere. I mean how it is possible to get a paint chip on the top of the metal shoulder block?
While handling the toy I noticed that it can't hold a good a-stance in Gerwalk-Mode because the legs will do the split due to a very loose thigh swivel.
I just have the feeling that NY had sold me a second hand copy that was returned because of a sub par condition out of the box. Frustrating.
Was it sealed? Bandai double-seals these so it would be obvious if it was opened or not. Unlike Yamato/Arcadia.
-
I for one would not be surprised if Bandai re-issued the YF-29 Ozma before the VF-25S! Not to annoy anyone but they seem to be riding the Macross 30 game now. And it's not like they need to re-issue something for the extra cash because they don't have anything new on the table. It's actually busier than i ever remember it. I've not had so much on pre-order since 2012.

I am torn on this one. The 171 has grown on me but the completionist part of me says "do not buy 171" because I don't want to buy a 171 CF due to the issues. I don't have any 171s in my collection and If I bought all 3 versions knowing that the 171 CF would eventually break would bug the hell out of me. So I just stayed away from the 171.
Decisions, decisions... Maybe I can just consider an Alto and Luca a complete set in my mind.
But if you don't transform it, it won't break. I thought that was the verdict. Mine has stayed in fighter mode and it's fine.

Sometimes seeing international bidders (accounts with a few thousand feedbacks) on items i want makes me bid. Lol.
-
This.
This too.
For sure this.
Yeah, I hope that Arcadia doesn't either. I just have to assume that they've learned from all the factors that led to Yamato's demise and that they're making sound business decisions (regardless of someone's personal taste in Valkyrie colors).

As long as it sells well in Japan. I mean they do like the design of the Rozen Zulu and the Khsatriya from Gundam. The VF-19kai is so dull compared to how garish those are!
-
hahaha!! Robotrons.. Hilarious!
What annoys me is that im often picked on due to my complete lack of interest in rugby, cricket, horse racing, etc.. as im mostly a motorsport and collectibles kinda person.. only to find out that those hard core sports fans who pick on me cos of my interests have odd ball collections or hobbies of their own but NO not allowed to pick on or make fun of their stuff.. I mean who cares if anyone likes to collect porcelain cows, stuffed animals, old coke bottles & bar runners..
Gee I hope they don't ever find this post! They'll surely know who im pointing out..
Worse yet:
I'm sure that any of those people who sent the seller an offer would think it's silly to spend $200 on a model!
-
I have the VF-1A Max and think it looks great but it's got the plain canopy. I don't know what anyone else says, i love the rainbow effect. How much did you get it for and where from?
-
I have no idea how to buy from there, its all in japanese and i don't know how to find a proxy. A lot of great items come up on there though.
I would be very careful about buying used items from those type of "recycle" shops as your first experience, unless there's a ton of pictures. I've had a horrid experience that even my proxy service agreed to get the shop to refund me - them and then they refunded me - after i received it and sent them pics. The item was broken and glued together but listed as A condition. Although they check they don't check nearly as thoroughly as personal sellers do.

Macross collectables in fighter mode are always easier to rationalize. I've always been fascinated with things that fly and japanese anime, so anything that looks like an airplane doesn't surprise my relatives and friends. Now it's not my fault that Gundams, Getters and some others fly too! My Gundam Metal Builds and Composites, and Fewture Gokins do initiate that "are you not drifting too far with all this?" look.
-
I had hoped for ¥20,000 at the most... pass!
Are they charging more for this than the YF-19?!
I'm guessing they added the extra Y10000 on the original release's price for the booster, plus an extra 10% for the gold paint

1/48 dead?

I'd love to see a Chogokin valk, with lots of metal, a deluxe size and detail. Opening panels, little missiles.
Like a fewture version, but not stylized.
Something that really costs $350-500 bucks for a reason
Bandai does have the DX Soul of chogokin line that Mazinger was released in. (I do envy those who actually like that design. I hate it) That was really impressive.

vf-1s maxes are so expensive. I just took a spare roy and used the blue decals from one of the earlier yammy unpainted kits to make my max
And the weathered VF-1S maxes are unreachable. I have Roy's and Hikaru's weathered S, but i have given up on Max's. For the last two years i've not seen it sell for less than Y40,000 so with Proxy fees and shipping, $500
-
Ahhhh! Well there she is eh.. And not looking so bad either! But yeah still doubt I'll buy one..
Which is why Bandai does regular releases most of the time. If someone is not guaranteed 1 copy at pre-order, maybe he will end up pre-ordering 2, or 3 :-P
-
Hmm, I see strengths and weaknesses in both of those schemes.
The M3 is what Bandai would go for, but they would also make sure they include some green and yellow paint lines somewhere because only blue on red is never enough. The M7 is what Arcadia would choose.
-
Looks like the new one is in a darker shade of red and in gold instead of in yellow... I might actually have to get this one and I passed on the old VF-19 Kai.
And I would advice you to sell your old VF-19 Kai's because when the new one gets available the value of the old one will drop like a rock.
I think the original yellow was better. If i didn't have it i would still buy the old one! But i do have an issue with gold and metallic paints in general on toys/models. Makes them look a bit street-fareish. If they had made it yellow-orange instead (like that Sazabi yellow/orange i mean) then it would have looked MUCH better together with the black accents.

RUN, don't walk to AmiAmi right now. Reissues are available as I type this.

Thank you for making the effort! What if i tell you that i got it from Jungle Hobby shop last month? For 55000 YEN, which at the time was a real bargain compared to EBAY?.... I saw the re-issue on the 8th and i pre-ordered a couple more, one to be loaded with the fuel tank and missile combination and one as a spare or... to cut my losses!!! Actually i love Yukikaze so i wasn't too annoyed. I already have 2 Mave and 2 Rafe, and i'm praying every Monday for the TS-X1 (it will never happen).
Thank you again though, appreciated!

Word. After I transformed my Max and Millia VF22s, they have stayed in Battroid mode since. I'm to scared to transform them back.
From what i remember it was the very last step about getting the legs in place correctly and then sliding the covers over that was the most annoying part because the tolerance is minimal. Up to that you shouldn't have a problem.
YF-21 Box Question

HI,
I believe only the 2010 version of the YF-19 featured some minor improvements. The YF-21 was not revised.
