  1. It was as the commanding officer on the radio at the end of the movie making the deal with Landa unless my ears betrayed me.
  2. Loved it, and I didn't mind that they didn't spell out a hard and fast, complete conclusion for their story, much like the ending for ours isn't set in stone either.
  3. I may be in the minority but I prefer the un-helmeted head, makes him seem more wreckless to me!
  4. The details on this inside and out look amazing. It's great to see the stages of your work, I think it gives me a great deal more appreciation for each kit.
  5. I'm in! I also heard that Eli Roth was making Thanksgiving, so that could be another pair of fun films. I hope that they keep getting directors to have some fun making fake trailers and make a series out of it. This could be a great farm system for getting original horror films started instead of the perpetual remakes.
  6. I've seen the quality of the 1/2500 models that justicar has done. I know he has the capcity to do a great kit, and I agreewith Cobywan that the TV version hasn't had the love in a long time and I want one. As a garage kit buyer, i also knwo the hesitation that people have in agreeing to pay for something without seeing what the end product actually looks like, so i don't know how you get a real honest guage of desire without a prototype or kit in hand. Since the initial one is going to be uber expensive, i don't know what you do. I'd be willing to bet that even if you didnt' get flooded with order right off, this would be a kit that you will be able to sell several every few months, probably forever. Ask Christpher Doll who made the Moya kit from Farscape, he doesn't sell a ton of them every month but they sell continuously and he has had to keep remolding that kit for the last 6 years.
  7. Barring Catastrophy I'm in. I remember that thread too and he did a heck of a job, if that's the starting point, It'll be interesting to see where it ends up
  8. They are cool, I've got them all ready for paint, I've got so much stuff primed right now that It may be a while before I get to work on them further but when i do I'll shoot some pics over to you to post if you like what I come up with. Good luck with the interest thread. Any chance you are gonna make those Micro Destroids available for purchase?
  9. I picked up a bunch of the Trek 2500 kits you had at wonderfest and think they are great. I'd love to say I'm onboard and commit to add another name to your list, but right now all I can say is that I'm interested, but the timeframe would be a big decision maker for me, I'm tied up in several other expensive (for me) kits for the next few months so, before August, I know I couldn't swing the dough. September or later I should have enough fun money again to splurge on another sweet kit I'd also vote to stick with the TV version as there is a company talking about doing a large scale DYRL version.
  10. Holy cow. Awesome start, I missed the other thread until this morning, that came out incredibly, I will enjoy watching your progress pics, thanks for sharing!
  11. That's pretty awesome, maybe they will be able to work out a deal with Yamato, Hasegawa and Bandai to import their toy lines under the "Battletech" name and we won't be forced to pay insane import costs to get our stuffs.
  12. I have to imagine that it uses the same mechanism that those stupid brain wave video game controller companies were trying to sell last year. Those picked up muscle stimulus electical current in the body, so if you wink your eye or wiggle your eybrow it picks that up, but just thinking a direction didn't do crap.
  13. I will never understand why HG hasn't bent over backwards to work with the Japanese companies involved with all subsequent Macross projects to bring stuff stateside jointly. They have essentially been vampires living off of the creativity of others for a couple decades now, why not just embrace it and help milk the luctrative US market instead of slugging along geting table-scraps and harming the brand. They have essentially thrown away profits and cost themselves millions and millions of dollars in the process. It's a crime that Zero and now Fronteir have not made it over because they would have re-vitalized the Macross name significantly and generated a lot of extra income for all companies involved.
  14. That's a great idea, thanks for sharing!
  15. LOL, I was going to say that the unusual thinng was that there is a complete full body pilot in there, instead of the customary "halfie" amputee that most models get. I guess that would have been an incorrect observation Thanks for the update, looks awesome so far!
  16. Am I the only one who checks the model section with a little fear because it's been a few days, given his track record of insanely awesome fast work, seeing a post from the captain that looks something like: It's done! [image picture of awesome] [image picture of awesome] [image picture of awesome] [image picture of awesome] [image picture of awesome] Send money, kthxbye
  17. It's looking Glaugtacular so far And dear sweet jebus it's gonna be hruuuuge! Thanks for the neat updates!
  18. Yeah, it is just out of control, I started cleaning up my paint box purging dead bottles and re-oragnizing my tools, now I have to clear off the desk and get my projects organized. No kids and that shotgun shell is a plastic fake that came as part of an aliens Pulse Rifle kit, next to it on the table are some aluminum granades from Aliens that I need to mount in the case, I just got em a couple weeks ago and haven't gotten around to pulling out the PR. That is the 1/48 YF-19, and I have the 21 that went with it still in the box they were from a run done several years ago here, I actually picked them up through the MW boards, I think I got them from Jessie Myers? They were a really good bargain, they are massive. Sho Nuff I've got one finished helmet that I did a couple years ago in the paint scheme of a friend who passed away's Marines from when we played in high-school and college. I'll probably do mine in a custom Space Wolves scheme I used back in the day. Unfortunately the Space Wolves really got exploited by GW, so a lot of people thought they were cheesy.
  19. Sweeet I look forward Thanks again for sharing pics and your project, this sort of stuff is uncommon, and really cool, one of the reasons I check out the forums.
  20. After the last post, I gather he's planning to update his site....
  21. R.I.P. I enjoyed much of his work. You know what, 72 years old, lead an eventful life, was in his waning years. AEA is pretty high on my list of ways to go out, if that's what happened, I hope he passed in a moment of bliss, there are a lot worse ways to croak.
  22. Super nice work on both My work bench has gotten out of control, I mean, really, really out of control I have to pack it all up and drop down to a single project. I'll likely be finishing either the defender or these first. I got completely absorbed wiht battlestar Galactica this last year so i've got a set of 1/20 and 1/24th scale ships from that series I am looking forward to getting started on as well.
  23. I don't I've only cotnacted him through the boards, whihc ones he frequenting now or activley working on kits for I haven't a clue, it's been a couple years since I've corresponded with him. Unfortunately, or fortunately Mike is involved in a couple long running projects with regard to some other Science Fiction fodder that I gather absorb quite a bit of his free time and his skills are in demand from around the globe, so we kind of have to take what we can get in terms of his time with Macross goodies, he makes it worth the wait though, looks like he last checked Macrossworld in April according to his profile page, so you kinda have to be patient. I gather from your initial post you are looking for something pretty soon, I'd hazard to guess that the chances of him making a new set of molds for the Monster and doing another small run really fast are slim, but you never know.
