That box will look good under my Christmas tree....even though it looks like a cake box. The inside stuff looks yummy though, mmmmm, Yumato.

I don't know. The fold booster looks like a carry handle. I guess we can all carry our YF-19s like a purse. Will this thing have a light feature?

Thanks for the link ikhii.

I'll just insert the pics in here.
credit goes to whoever made them. Sorry, can't read Japanese.
The Japanese reads "Don't steal my pictures or I will chop off your thingy with my samurai sword while you sleep" hahaha. Just messing with ya (I'm pretty sure it doesn't say that)??

Oh yes, it will be mine. I've been waiting for something like this. Looks great. I have a feeling there will be tons of different GBP repaints. This is one cow that yamato will milk until the nipples get sore. Wait, do cows have nipples, or are they utters? Anyways, I don't blame them, the 1/48 scale GBP is a very well designed accessory.

According to BBTS:
MACROSS 1/5000 SUPER DIMENSION FORTRESS - TRANSFORMER MODEL KIT:
We are not sure of the exact size of this kit, but given the price point its bound to be
big and a lot of fun to assemble. This kit actually transforms between ship and mecha,
and is priced at $159.99 - great images are available here:
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product...amp;mode=retail
So it's a model kit.
"given the price point its bound to be big" hahahaha. I don't think so...it should say "given the price point, its another expensive Macross toy"

I just moved into San Francisco, and i live in the city. I always bought my macross items at Frank and Sons in So. Cal. I am wondering where san francisco residents buy their macross items, i would prefer a place "like" frank and sons because i like to inspect my stuff before i buy it, i rather not do online(but if i have to i will do it) so any of you nor cal people please help a bro out! thanks
I don't think I have ever bought any macross items at a retail store in the bay area. I find that online is much cheaper. I don't think the bay area has anything like frank and sons. I wish there was something like F&S here, but we only have shows at the local malls once in awhile. If you want to look at stuff and spend big money, then there's Comic and Cards Central in the Richmond District on Geary and 18th. They have a good selection of things and tons of overpriced stuff. A few stores down is another anime store which has some macross stuff also. Then there's Japantown for Macross books and a few other offerings. For all these places, expect to pay high prices. Good luck.

The November hobby magazines are out a few days early. Just picked them up.
Graham
November magazines? It's still September where I live. Just how big is the time difference between Asia and the United States ... I though it was 1 day, not 2 months? hahaha. Anyways, thanks for the new pics. I don't know how you can keep all these Yamato secrets without exploding. It must feel good to relieve some built up pressure every once in awhile. Maybe one of these days you're gonna snap and reveal all!

Very nice score. The head sculpts might be a little off, but overall I think they look pretty cool. I really like the look of the flight suits, the chest plate details, and back pack features, and even the led lights. The helmet definitely needs the visor. I hope Popbox can pull off something similiar, but with their current head sculps. I hope they are taking notes on what can be done.

Can you let us know if California residence have to pay the sales tax. Thanks.

much like all the other $200 yamato offerings, this should be no different.
valk $135 + fold booster $45, then $20 for shipping = $200
anything beyond this, they can suck my brown eye. i'm kind of tired of being raked over the coals every time they release a new toy, its getting old real fast and i could just as easily walk away from this hobby all together.
i just don't see how the MP starscream which looks like it has 10 times the features is only $100, while this thing with no features is $200? granted macross is a smaller fan base, and yamato is a smaller company, but how can anyone justify charging double for a lesser toy? i'm sure it didn't help that the 2nd coming thread got as big as it did. any vendor could see the amount of interest in this toy and see it as a potential to cash in on the fans. ...which is whats happening right now. one can only hope that all the hoopla will die down a bit and vendors will drop their prices to something more reasonable.
I hear you .... remember this thread:
http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...c=17460&hl=
I was complaining when the prices were at $150, and I said I will stop if it hits $175. I'm going to retract that statement and say, "If it goes over $200, then I'm done." (Next year I'm going to say if it hits $250, then I'm done ... for reals this time) hahaha

Screw all that noise, I'm getting this sucker now! We all wanted long enough for this, so I'm not going to wait any longer. I will sleep better at night knowing I have one in the display case. I won't have to worry if they are going to re-issue another one. You never know, Yamato's manufacturing plant can burn down tomorrow! Besides, if they do re-issue a better one, I'll just sell the old one and buy the new one. There will always be buyers out there who won't know the difference.

I am so biting your display method. hahaha.
Very nicely done, I was thinking of displaying the fast pack like that, but never got around to it.

Thanks for the pics!
It looks totally bad arse in fighter plane mode. I think everyone will keep it in this mode, especially to show off the sick pilot.
But it looks Lame-O (with a captial O) in robot mode. Everytime I see it in robot mode, I crack up. It just looks weird for some reason. I can't put a finger on it, but it looks like a mess?
Now I want to see the strike packs on the first Low Viz version.

Props to emajnthis for a smooth transaction. Good communication, fast shipping, and great packaging. Thanks!

Ok, looks like we finally have someone bidding on it. So does this mean these will be made and sold again in the near future?

What are the odds of Yamato releasing the 1/48 Stealth Type fast packs with the strike cannon? I would like to put the Stealth colored fast packs on my low viz, but I don't want to buy the whole Stealth set for $200 just for the fast packs. I also want the strike cannon and I don't think anyone has verified that it will be included with the current Stealth/fast pack release. Should I just wait and see what happens? I think the chances should be good, since Yamato does show pictures of the Stealth with a strike cannon. Maybe I should just get a low viz strike fast pack custom made. Anyone out there doing customs?

I want to know why why Graham is member number 11. Shouldn't he be like member # 1 or 2 ???

The Yamato pics doesn't really look any different from the pics on the first page. All the colors look to be the same. Must be just the lighting. Still looks good to me, because I'm impress with the somewhat complicated paint scheme. Lets face it, they could of just gave us a simple boring repaint, but instead they made it look like a cool customized work.
