    WHAT

    THE

    F**K??

Ok, this franchise REALLY needs to die right now. As exciting as it would be watching a drunk fly around in a rocket with warp engines on it in our solar system, thanks i'll bloody pass.

Enterprise has a hard enough time navigating around the galaxy. With a ship that's set so far BEFORE Enterprise, we'll probably have a rip-off of Apollo 13 or something, with no anti-gravity, no phazers, no shields, no transporters....guns with bullets, large spacesuits.....if I want to watch that, i'll catch the next shuttle launch :p

Jesus CHRIST, what the HELL is wrong with Paramount? I just don't understand it!

  2. Those crazy guys at millenniumfalcon.com are reporting that the live-action Star Wars tv series will be set to bridge the gap between Ep 3 and Ep 4. They're usually pretty accurate with their forecasting, so i'm gonna go out on a limb and believe it to be true:

This, IMO, blows salty monkey nads.

We've had to put up with this bloody prequel trend for, what, 7 years now?? Star Wars set the ball rolling, and others picked it up like Star Trek, Macross, Smallville etc... Even Robert Jordan wrote a bloody prequel book!

Enough is enough! If there's one thing I CANNOT stand it's knowing how everything turns out in the end - it honestly detracts SO much from whatever it is i'm watching. While I understand there's something to be said for knowing how things came about, I'm constantly hampered with the knowledge that "Yes, Anakin turns into Vader" "No, Roy doesn't die in Mzero" "Clark will end up with Lois, so the whole Lana love thing is pointless" whenever I watch any of those shows/movies.

I was really hoping that Star Wars would set the ball rolling again by not focusing on the past but instead forging ahead into an untapped future (and while the Expanded Universe is nice, I don't give two craps if it's over-written by a TV series). Those rumours i'd heard of Mark Hamill returning to play an older Luke in a post Ep-6 tv series made it sound incredible! Just think how cool that would be to see the restoration of a new Jedi Order on screen, following the exploits of some NEW, original characters, who we don't already know how/when they die. <_<

Instead, we'll probably see Vader wipe out MORE Jedi (how sunny! :p), or follow Boba Fett around until he trips and falls into the Sarlaac. If it's the adventures of Young Han and Chewie, I will murder someone.

  3. It's like the Strike, V2, and God Gundam mooshed together. I was wondering when Kunio would whip out the G Gundam designs and incorporate them into Seed....hell, he's tapped pretty much every other series (except for Turn A, thank god)

Still, as Blender Gundams go, it looks damn cool, and I can't wait to see it in action and buy its MSIA.

    Destinyyy....FINGAH! *touch*

  4. The thread was nuked? Looks like it's still standing to me. I was just playing the part of the "obnoxious" poster that the major (who's still gabbering on and on btw) labled me as for giving a simple opinion he couldn't read correctly. Sheesh, don't be a baby about your poor thread.

Retain your own identity next time and don't play the part that someone else labels you with. Don't give into peer pressure, it's not worth it. I think you need to take a swim in "Lake You"!

  5. Yeah, i collected them all, thinking that that was the end of the story. Then my girlfriend at the time came back from a trip to italy with an italian version of the book, which featured the Gigantics and some weird elf guy, and it threw me for a loop.

I'd love to hear more about what the story is behind them.

  6. I actually liked the way the story progressed in this episode. I thought the idea of a group creating war for profit (while not a new one), was a good point to include in the Gundam universe.

Dullindal might be a good guy, but damn does he ever have sinister and evil looks. I think his is the most fascinating character in the show - what's he up to? It'll be great to discover.

You know, if it wasn't for the scene showing the Minerva Captain and Dullindal in a post-coital setting, i'd almost believe that "Gil" had Rey grown to be his personal boy-toy.

If you guys think that Rey's hug was a normal guy's reaction to a 'father-figure', then I think you should probably go into therapy and get some advice on your own family situations :p If it wasn't the cry of "Gil!" then it was most definetely the blush while hugging.

But at least it was offset by all the bouncing boobies! Sweet, sweet fake-Lacus boobies....

  7. The guy with the long hair in the Anakin pic is Nick Gillard, the guy in charge of coming up with all the lightsaber combat for the prequel pics. The girl looks like Mousy McCallum, Rick McCallum's daughter, getting killed.

SPOILERS (do I have to still say this?)

And yes, Anakin does kill the younglings :p

    END SPOILERS

  8. Alternators are sort of being restocked in Ottawa, but only the older releases, Hound, Silverstreak etc.

Some of the newer Energon figures have come in though, so I suppose it isn't too bad. But I really really want to get some new alternators, I caved last week and picked up a Binaltech Grimlock. One cool figure.

Oh hey, you're from Ottawa too? Cool. No, this city is a wasteland when it comes to Alternators .....I have a feeling we'll get a repeat of what happened with Silverstreak, Hound, and DeadEnd - a few more months of nothing, and then BLAM!, 6 new alternators flooding shelves at the same time.

Which is something I really hate, because it usually bankrupts me to buy them all at once

  9. I would just like to add my opinion here and say that Battlestar Galactica is some of the BEST scifi i've seen on television in a loooong time. If both this and Firefly were airing, i'd be in geek heaven.

BSG beats the crap out of Stargate, not to mention Enterprise :p
