I saw this last night with the MW HK team (Graham, Valk009 and Blackaces) and it was exactly as Mr. March described. A good story with political / moral dilemma and action rolled into one. Hugo Weeving was awesome in his performance as V and the story pacing was great. The transitions between action, suspense and political drama was long enough to tell the story and lead onto the next scene, without the feeling of being pulled, pushed or forced away when you're not ready. While the film is set in Britain, the overly used British slang (Telly, Bollocks, Chaps, Mate) to authenticate the setting felt at times overwhelming to these untrained ears. Valk009 and I laughed about it afterwards - Too British? At times, yes. Highly recommended.

Beware Members Of Pay Pal And Ebay! Big Scam!
Neova replied to bryan_f_davis@yahoo.com's topic in Wanted
Speaking as a guy who usually request transactions to be completed by paypal for various reasons (hands down ease of use, built in tracking), I also recommend others to consider the following payment options: For people in the same country (EG: USA) - Direct Bank Deposit - Cash. Give out your account number and ask that person in another state/province to deposit funds into your account. Upon proof of deposit (receipt scan, check your bank account), you can send the goods, or vice versa. This of course entails super trust but is the EASIEST method for folks within the same country. - Direct Bank Deposit - Check. Same as above but clears within 3-10 working days. Caveat Emptor with bad check bouncers. I personally would not accept this and would impose a 2-week wait to clear the funds if you must. International - NO PERSONAL CHECKS PERIOD - Banks can reject these and the holds are even longer... Sigh... - Postal or International Money Order with signed delivery confirmation - For domestic guys easy. For international, a PAIN IN THE BUTT depending on the various banks. I have taken IMOs before, but the bank will place a 20 WORKING DAY hold on all of these checks to clear. That is a full month to 6 weeks before funds are released. Good for the patient but relatively safe. - Bank Cashiers check - same as above but cost more and has the requirements - Bank Wire or TT - FAST but service charge is way up there. 35 - 80 USD is typical. Probably better for Godzilla or Kensei every time they request a new fighter wing. - Western Union - Probably the best alternative next to Paypal and Wire Transfer. Cheap (buyer must pay the charges) and usually available in most major cities in many countries. Sellers can literally pickup the funds within a few hours and there is confirmation for the buyer as photo ID is required for pickup of the funds. Personally, it is a pain for me since I live 45 mins from the closes one, then I need to take the funds and deposit it into my bank, which is not even close to the WU, but it helps those who cannot or will not or can not use paypal or any of the above services. -
After reading the article, I thought he was just displaying a wallpaper cut up across all those monitors. If that is in real time 3D, then I am impressed. So who will be the first to run their server racks as a multimon setup with a console emulator running Bandai\'s Macross DYRL? Or hell, even Macross:VO across that would be awesome!

That is amazing. Now I want to see Haterist or any other MW lego guy build up the SDF-1 or at least an ARMD on lego scale! If I was only filthy stinking rich, I would have one commissioned for display!

Awesome collection in one shot! You would not be trying to play catch up to Godzilla and Kensei would you?

I love em all! Can not have enough variety, just like my women!

See Mari Perform On Su 4/23

I wish I was heading back to the Bay Area during that time. Might need to reschedule a business trip here or there. Post some pics if you guys can! -
Goto the models forum and lookup Captain America \' s Zentradi Figures and Regult project. Yes, it is 1/72 scale but those are some of the best looking Zentradies to grace Macrossworld.

Haven\'t seen this series yet (so network) but was eyeing the Assault Type Aquarion that was released recently. Damn it looks great on the box. Give us a review quick! I am itching to pick this up!

I don\'t want to go OT anymore but I just want to comment why does everyone here think HG has the rights to DYRL so they can bring Macross DYRL Valkyries over? The one thing that is for sure is that HG has the SDF:M license. In this case, HG can negotiate with Yamato to \"repackage\" an existing product as Robotech Veritechs or SDF:M TV version valks. That would be cool and would release the TV Valkyries to the rest of the world too. They can bring the Q-Rau repainted in Green, the 1/60 and 1/48 line over repackaged but nothing officially DRYL without BW\'s blessings. Anything else post SDF:M related, I will comment in the HG Licensing thread.

I would actually like to see this... Interesting...

Neova replied to Neova's topic in Where to Buy Macross, Auctions & Dealers Specials
I will start taking payment near the end of April. If there are delays from Yamato, then I will delay taking payment accordingly. -
I wonder if I should start recasting heatshields! I will get a cost and advise.

You make me want to start on my kit and hanger dio! Fantastic job! Keep it up!

It will be white resin. I can have it painted up but need to check on time. Heck, I can offer custom painted pilots if I have enough free time. Look for my recast parts thread soon in the for sale forum.

VF-1S LED Head is in the works right now. I was thinking of the push down method and will see if this is feasible after the head has been disected. Since the head will be modified, if time permits, we will "detail up" the head to look more like Hasegawa's sculpt before recasting it. The cheeks may be fatten up a LITTLE (0.5-1mm) on each side so it doesn't look like it hasn't eaten for weeks from full frontal view. If you guys have other details you want to add or suggest, please advise now before we finalize the sculpt. I hope to have a prototype for showing soon. Please keep your postings on topic here. Thanks.

Anybody Thinks That Sk Needs To Redesign The Vf-1?
Neova replied to Phalanx's topic in Movies and TV Series
Now I really wish Yamato would just make the VF-0S in 1/48 scale and keep the price the same! BTW: Hasegawa already did update the VF-1 to TODAY'S STANDARDS with their "model kits". BEST modernized rendition of the VF-1 in a fixed pose so far! Hasegawa needs to release it in 1/60 or 1/48 scale! http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...jfeb01page1.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...jfeb01page2.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...jfeb01page3.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...jfeb01page4.jpg -
Do You Want For Japan To Start Producing Original
Neova replied to Phalanx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
And the US Government should hire Todd McFarlane to be an expert in Paranormal and help lead the research to find and open up the secrets to Noah's Ark, the Holy Grail and the keys to Doom's Hellgate on Mars. Obviously one can see that he is the most qualified person as in the creation of his TOYS. LOL is this guy for real? He's funnier than bankofkev! Okay maybe not... at least intelligence wise he is not. -
There are many aspects to the "design" phase of any product. You got the concept artists, mechanical engineers, modelers / sculptor, product managers, design director and at least a marketing / sales guy involved. Each guy would take on a part of the process: concept guy draws out the concept sculptor does the actual sculpting MEs figure out if it’s feasible as a toy product managers or project managers works with everyone to stay on schedule and budget sales and marketing provide customer / market input on trends, sales forecast, etc... design director calls the shot on the final design No one person will do all you have listed unless it’s a garage operation. In that case, just do what you do best and work up from there. It sounds like you're more interested in the engineering and production of the product than the actual design since most artist / designers / sculptors in any product based company usually would not have to deal with those headaches. The ME would focus on those things, make recommended changes to the designers so the company can support the production of the product. Take a few engineering courses, or read a book or check online to get an idea of the production cycle of a toy or other product. It’s pretty much the same manufacturing process for any type of product using the same materials (plastic). Only the end product is different.

Do You Want For Japan To Start Producing Original
Neova replied to Phalanx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
/Start off topic political rant Personally, I would NOT like to see Japan build jack s*** for their military. I'm sure MOST of their Asian neighbors would agree with me and would like Japan to just keep to their Pacifist Oath post WWII and learn to live with everyone else instead of trying to reneg on their domestic policy and pushing for an offensive buildup. The US has got their back and they don't need anymore military than that for "defense". /End off topic political rant I think this topic would have been better phrased if it was "Would you like to see Anime Aircraft become a reality one day?" BTW: So when are the Tachikoma's going into mass production? Would be a nifty replacement for my lawn mower. -
Actually a great idea but 2 M7 movies were already made: M7 - The Movie and M7 Dynamite. It would be great if Kawamorie-San would "detail up" and maybe militarize the Sound Force so those valkyries would become more acceptable. Macross Zero like CGI and some big ass dogfights could make this awesome. However, the tree hugging, final fantasy movie like Spiritia concepts would still keep the M7 haters from really liking it. But M7's times has passed so its not going to happen. I would love to see Kawamorie-San and Big West get together and make a M:VFX/VFX2 movie and then a TV series!
