Finally got my Tornado today. ....

Anybody notice that the Tornado Valk has black antennae and hands now and the gun-pod is the correct purple color now? Also is it me or is it not as bright of a white than the original VF-25 DX?

actually, I don't know what you're getting at, I have the original ivanov release and it's fine other than the missiles didn't stay lock on well, but at least those missiles weren't websclusives.

Besides the missiles not locking well, the other problem with my Ivanov is the gun piece doesnt stick too well together. the bar always comes off top part. not a show stopper though...

This is the only DX Macross F Valkyrie I own, so I'm not too familar with them. That stand that you are using for the Fighter mode...is that a standalone stand put out by Bandai, where did you get it, and is it designed for the DX's, or is it a model kit stand that you adapted for use with the VF-27?

It's the stand that came with the VF-25G... doesn't fit too well due to the huge beam gun though

It just stinks that it's probably 5 to 10 years away. Better to hope that Bandai goes back and fixes it, imo. Hopefully they hear the cries of fans.

and even then, we might need to bear with a few iteration of fragile shoulders before Yamato get it right themselves!

Looks whiter than the super parts bundle version or is it just the lighting?

Definitely white, like in the series. Makes you wonder what's the deal with the super parts bundle (movie version) in light blue then...? So where do we go with the Tornado messiah? Did Alto's eventually decided that he liked white better in the movie? I like the movie version of Alto, but would've preferred to have the original colors anytime.

I opened my VF-19 and its left shoulder keeps popping out. While I can slot it back in, it just falls off way too easily. Has anyone experienced this? Or have any suggestions to remedy it?

Apart from that issue, I don't like the fiddiliness of getting from one mode to the other. Hearing that the VF-25F is much worse than this makes me pretty darn scared of that one. But both modes for the VF-19 are nice. Love the look and poseability of the VF-19. I do look forward to the 1/60 though. Don't like me partsformers and even though this is nice I would've not gotten if I'd known at the time that the 1/60 was coming.

I'm really rooting for the HIMETAL line because they come at a price point which I think I can afford to buy repaints (like the multitude of VF-1 and the 3 VF-22S Milia, Max, Gamlin).. sweet!

I'm so tired of seeing Bandai web exclusives and I don't even buy any of them. I'm glad this was never as big of an issue when the MSIA/EMSIA line was still running. I think I'll skip the fire just based on principle because the separate sound booster exclusive is like a slap in the face. Might pick up the blazer though but we'll see.

Heh... the next thing u know, they'll make the super parts for the Blazer web exclusives!

Lesson: don't buy just one. Go ahead and buy 10 right off the bat - get a collection going - and just expect a dud here or there
