  1. Thank you, Chaotic Yeti! These are brilliant. They were painful to put together and peel off the brown paper but once together, they add so much to a Valk.

I'd be interested in some Lego ones too!

  2. I've been hanging out hoping that Bandai will do another run of their VF-25F Tornada. I'm wondering if I should just give up now or not? As it appears that Bandai aren't as generous with their reruns as Yamato Re (well, I guess that might be b/c most of their toys don't have broken shoulders) but I'm not sure if I should hold out or just head over to eBay. Thanks in advance

  3. Here's my Detolf setup with the round Dioder lights. I have the 8 cases hooked up to my half-hot outlet for easy on/off through my wall switch. I like that the strips provide more light, but seem a little distracting. The round ones have a diffusing cover over them, the strips have the same?

Flash off, completly dark room(night time)just the Dioders on. As you can see they're not very bright, but they do offer the accentuating lighting to provide focus.

Impressive display! Do you have any more pics of your collection?

  4. Anyone got the missing numbers sticker from yr dealers? My local dealer (The Falcon Hanger) just received the stickers from their supplier & will distribute to those who bought Grace version from them.

Yup. My seller though delayed my shipment till he received the stickers.

But I personally didn't give two rats about the decals. All I want is the damn Grace and it's a spectacular piece.

  5. I would say that at one point I regretted the YF-19 as well. I was particularly disappointed about its floppiness. That said, over time I've come to really appreciate it's aesthetic and I think I would much prefer it in my collection than not despite its flaws.

  6. The normal version of the VB-6 (the less expensive one) is just the regular release with no special "prizes" or extras. It essentially is just the VB-6 and some stickers. The special edition (the more expensive one) is a limited edition release that comes with some decals already applied to the VB-6 (sheryl on the nose to be exact) as well as a base that can be used to depict the Vb-6 firing on the top of a space cruiser (i believe this will be a part of the upcoming movie?). Finally the special version will also come with some kind of handbook thing as well (don't really know the details of this handbook).

    I hope that helps.

Cheers! Not enough to make me really want the special edition other than the base. Is there a display stand for the normal version? I'm definitely getting the normal one if there is.

  7. Waiting for the darker movie colour version that's what we are waiting for lol.

I was of that sentiment too but I did pick one up (though not at the great price above) but was very very impressed by the colours and the toy itself. I think the photos don't do the colours justice. They aren't as light as they look in photos. In real life, this Quarter is really quite nice and futuristic in appearance.

  8. I opened my VF-19 and its left shoulder keeps popping out. While I can slot it back in, it just falls off way too easily. Has anyone experienced this? Or have any suggestions to remedy it?

Apart from that issue, I don't like the fiddiliness of getting from one mode to the other. Hearing that the VF-25F is much worse than this makes me pretty darn scared of that one. But both modes for the VF-19 are nice. Love the look and poseability of the VF-19. I do look forward to the 1/60 though. Don't like me partsformers and even though this is nice I would've not gotten if I'd known at the time that the 1/60 was coming.

  9. Readying for launch B))

I'm probably one of the few idiots that prefers, ever so slightly, the Stealth's regular fighter mode over the FP'ed version of the fighter. Must be the different shades of grey, blue, and black on the panel that becomes the battroid's back.

Too bad a few of the stickers on the old bird are showing their age and wear though. :(

Whoa, what are the two jets there? They look awesome.

  10. So this is a completely new release? Or is it a fixed up version of ones they've stuffed up before?

Because I've looked at the Macross Zero ones and they generally look good but I've noted a lot of threads where problems with them have been mentioned (such as here) and I've been apprehensive about buying one. Do we think Yamato will get this right?

  11. i was going to pre-order the smoke trails, but I realised Id never display it that way, so it'd be a waste I cant afford now anyway.

With you there. I finally got around to opening mine and was extremely fond of it (apart from the shoulders) but cannot see why I'd ever display it with the smoke trails. I love the idea but if I left it on shelf, I'd never leave it in that pose.
