Which period do you want to live in the Macross
Sumdumgai replied to vanpang's topic in Movies and TV Series
I'd choose post-2012, before 2040. (Haven't played M3 yet though...) 1) We get a lot of valkyrie development such as the VF-4, the VF-14, the VF-3000, the VF-5000, and the VF-11. And who knows what other valkries might exist that we don't know about because we haven't seen them? 2) Can go off on whatever colony mission (Megaroad class or New Macross Class) with deep Space Exploration. 3) You'll get the benefits of living through the M+ and M7 timeline assuming you aren't CF. 4) Get to watch DYRL in the theaters. -
I'd buy that for a dollar.... BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!

We'd need a large force of robots to build this... how about labors! And of course we'd need a genius programmer to create a new operating system to boost efficiency... Why don't we call this new system- HOS! edit: spelling

That sucks. You could always make an addition to the blacklist if worse comes to worse.

Guess you've never heard of a hug pillow...

I wasn't aware that anyone from Yamato posted here. shhhh! You'll give the boy a complex!

Warera Rori Konda Put those names together and you get a rather amusing quote, which should say bundles about why they always do shows with pubescent or pre-pubescent kids... And I don't mean "rolling computer"!

I remember seeing a site before where a guy had a transformers costume that he could transform with him in it, but I can't remember if it was one of these... If someone manages to make a valkyrie costume that is transformable with them in it (and not be injured, maimed, or killed during the process)...

Do not trust to hope... It has forsaken these lands...

Don't buy valks! They're made from people! Well... ground up otaku, so I don't know if you should count them as people....

The size of an artbook! (than thing by it says "this is animation-"something or another...

Okay, in this pic and the other pic shown earlier, we see a size difference and it's what I was expecting. What's the pissing and moaning about for the idea of a 1/48 VF-0? I'm sure there'll be people dismissing the idea of a 1/48 anyway because of their fanatacism... 1/48 Monster not a bad idea... j/k Although, if people will by it and Yamato wants to make it, why not? They're supposedly doing that 1/60. Why do a redesign of the VF-1? SK's already done the VF-0 and the VF-EX valks (SW-XA1 and SW-XA2). Maybe he'd put swing bars on a redesign! Then the chunky-monkeys would be more perfect-transformation than the 1/48 VF-1.

Wonder how many Miria clones there are out there...

Monkey-N should get this to traumatize Valkyre Hunter D (his kid) Monkey: "You mess with Daddy's toys again and you'll get kaba-kicked!" D: "YAY!" Just joking Monkey! I want one though.....

I've read Aegis' preachings about the evils of the 1/48 line. Okay I know the VF-0 and YF-19 would be about 15.5 inches, and that doesn't turn me off. I don't see it the same way that it would be too bulky or be impractical. Bigger doesn't necessarily mean more detail, but it does mean I won't have a little peace of earwax for a pilot figure. It also means I get nice little detailed cockpit innards. I'm not trying to convince you Aegis to want a 1/48. Go ahead and argue. But, why are you on a crusade against the idea of non-VF-1 valks in 1/48 scale? It's not like people are screaming, "Skip the 1/72 line! Skip the 1/60 line!" You've preached so many times about how we don't understand the size, or that it would be impractical, or that you don't need the size to ge tthe detail. As someone so eloquently put it before "We're not pissing on your parade, so quit pissing on ours!" <_<

I was pleased with the RK OVA, because they kept to the flashback elements of Kenshin's past. The OVA is much better than that part of the manga. Telling Kenshin's past as an OVA only about his past, rather than faithfully adapting the manga into a longer OVA series was a move that brought about a much better story. Plus they put much more of the Shinsengumi into the OVA and had that big event in episode 2, which was a historically real event. DO NOT read the profiles on any of the characters who are historically real (Okita, Saito, Katsura Kogoro, and Takasugi Shinsaku). The ADV made profiles are full of crap, they didn't do any research at all (it figures from the company that sleeps with HG). Don't watch the dub either, the dialogue is butchered and the voice acting blows.

Ah, seeing someone say something that makes sense with a calm head is always refreshing. JsArclight I applaud you!

Those are some damned good ideas! The swingbars could be attached to that T-bar likeon the 1/48 VF-1, and be more or less decorative rather than functional. The swingbars wouldn't have the same risk of breakage as if the legs relied solely on the swingbar alone. I love that change the nose-cone idea. Only time will tell to see if they do release bigger VF-0 valks. And a 1/48 VF-11, AHEM Yamato, hint-hint, wink-wink, knudge-knudge, ya know what I mean? edit: YF-21 and YF-19 in 1/48 scale please!
-
Well, that's still better than "marked for death by the mod-squad" or the Counterstrike title for snipers "camping fag".
-
1/48 scale, regardless of what everyone says about size and about cost. I know that it would be big, but I honestly don't care. I don't mind dishing out a lot of money for something big, detailed and cool, and also being in the same scale as my nice VF-1 Low Vis.

Okay, I've been wondering for a while. Why do people sometimes refer to Kawamori as the "hoary froating head"? I don't suppose he pulled that terrible "Elrond trick"... edit: Thanks Ewilen

You might want to check this section of Macross World: The "Where to Buy Section" http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?act=SF&f=13 Or at least post there.

I'm just happy that if I decide to get a VF-0 the shipping will be cheaper because of the lack of die-cast That's not even mentioning the lack of all the problems of metal: scratched paint, wear on plastic, different balance, etc. <_< You want MW Porn, here you go!!! edit: The Low Vis in all it's glory! Uncensored version in the Toy review section of Macross World!

I'd bet old HG would raise a big-ass stink if they did that and a US company tried to release it in the States, regardless if they had a real court case or not. I think a re-make COULD be cool. It all depends on how they do it. Hell, if they re-made and updated it with the stuff Kawamori wanted to do with the old series but ran out of time/money, I'd watch it. Heh, they could put one of the buildings being destroyed as HG as a little wink at our "friends".
