  1. It looks like whatever stops the leg from coming all the way off was broken(where it looks white). It seemed really brittle. Here is a pic, sorry for the size as I am clueless on how to reduce it to a thumbnail.
  2. Yep those are the Mac+ GNU's, they are pretty fun to pose. I just opened the 1/48 VF-1J Hikkie today and got Yamato'd
  3. So, I decided to take one of the 2 1/48 valks that I own out of the package and transform it to gerwalk mode. I decided to transform my VF-1J hikaru because I have the armor parts for and though it would look sweet on display. The part that broke is the grey geared part that allow the legs to swing forward. All I did was extend the leg forward and a tiny little piece of the gear broke and now I cannot keep it in gerwalk mode without it wanting to do a nose dive on the table. I cant find the tooth that fell off. Is this a common problem on the 1/48th scale Valkyries? I also have a brand new 1/48th scale Stealth edition and the fast packs, but am scared to touch it and am leaving it the box This really angers me. Does anyone make recasts of this part? Or does anyone have a spare 1/48 valk that they scavenge parts off of?
  4. Here's all the stuff I have been waiting on over the holiday since November minus the YF-19/YF-21, VF-0S/VF-0A and the Gundam Fix Figuration Metal Composite MSZ-006A1/C1[bst] Z Plus This pretty much sums up my Christmas! By the way, how do I resize the images?
  5. Got my VF-11B a while back, but have not played with it really yet. Finally got My 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru and the GBP Armor (anime colors) Now just need all the side covers.
  6. Mine was like that on the left leg. I just had to pull at it REALLY hard, then it finally came out.
  7. How do you achieve this? They always say the value of the item is high and must be shipped EMS
  8. Somehow tonight I managed to get 6 valks on one Detolf shelf! A first for me.
  9. Somehow tonight I managed to get 6 valks on one Detolf shelf! A first for me.
  10. I guess my problem with it is, they should have put a blue visor on it then just label it DYRL. It just kinda seems like its between the two as it is. Since I already have the 1/48 version of this, I think I might just buy the VF-1J that still has the white visor and buy the missile launching version armor so they look alike.
  11. Does anyone have a shot of the front of the box? I'm kinda confused as to if this is supposed to be the TV version or the DYRL version. Because it is blue I'm guessing DYRL. In the show SDF Macross the armor is painted in an almost dark grayish color that matches the grey visor of this release. In DYRL the armor is the dark blue color, but the visor is also a dark blue color. Does the box have DYRL written on it?
  12. Thanks for the tip! I got 2 of them today at the Seattle location. They had 200 instock.

    A pair of customs.

Nice job! keep up the great work!
  14. Did you get yours from the HLJ sale? I got a floppy left wing. Not sure how to fix it yet. I did tighten the screws in that area but it still gives if I move the plane around. If I can find a DD cheap enough I may buy it just to finish my Mac Zero collection, but I also want to preorder some other stuff.
  15. The VF-11B was delivered this morning! Now all I am waiting on is my 1/48th VF-1J and GBP armor. Also waiting on all the silverdragon made side covers.

    HLJ Yamato sale

I think technically it may have shipped on the 26th in japan. But then again they may be working...
  17. I'm sorry, I guess I should have said "First operationally deployed VF"
  18. The SV-51 WAS the FIRST VF, but it was developed around plans/tech stolen from the U.N.G. The fuel problem did exist with the SV-51, that's why they launched them from the submarines. This got the SV-51 closer to it's operational area. The problem was that the engines were tuned or shall we say over driven to provide the performance of the craft, which in turn burned fuel like crazy. The nuclear reaction engines were not ready for prime time, causing the VF-0's and SV-51's to use conventional engines which had to be over driven to achieve viable performance. Here is a quote from the Macross Mecha Manual: "Though the SV-51 enjoys numerous advances over last-generation conventional fighters, the craft does suffer from several design flaws. The size of the aircraft places a burden on the transformation actuators leading to a longer transformation time from one mode to the next. Lacking thermonuclear reaction engines needed to properly operate a variable fighter meant the SV-51 has a much shorter range due to high fuel consumption. Rather than cruising to a destination using it's own fuel, it was often necessary for the SV-51 to be transported to the operational area, typically by a modified submarine and launched from underwater."
  19. Got my VT-1 and VE-1 Elint Seeker Still waiting on the VF-11B and all the side covers. Just ordered a 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru and the GBP Armor (anime colors).
  20. This is what I found in the Macross Mecha Manual. "Though mass-produced like the other destroids, only two Monster Mk II units were onboard the SDF-1 Macross during the outbreak of Space War I. During the conflict, the Macross onboard factories made use of equipment for several more Monster mecha and produced a third unit to accompany the original two. Most of the other Monster units were destroyed by orbital bombardment from the Zentradi fleet. The few Monster Mk II units aboard the SDF-1 Macross distinguished themselves as very capable war machines during Space War I. While most destroid units suffered heavy losses, the Monsters aboard the ship remained in active service for most of the war and the capability to launch reaction warheads was put to use during the battle with the Bodol Zer Main Fleet in February 2010." And this: "The Mk II Monster was phased out of active service in the 2030's. The continued growth and improved manufacturing of variable vehicles meant the destroids, originally built as much simpler and cheaper robotic weapons, became a less attractive alternative. In the tradition of military training, some Mk II Monster destroids were utilized as target vehicles in live fire test exercises. The YF-19 utilized the special weapons pack in the Super Nova AVF and fired upon a disarmed Mk II Monster target destroid in a live fire exercise conducted at New Edwards Test Flight Center on Eden in 2040."

    Thunder Hammer

The Thunder Hammer Armor never appeared in any of the shows. It was a custom armor kit made by a hobbyist in japan. What role does it serve? Looking sick as hell
  22. Added " Replaceable cockpit domes for the VF-22's so they can have heat shields. Maybe make it a 3 pack. " In the "Possible 'Detail-Up' V2 VF-1 from Yamato, What improvements & accessories would you like to see?" thread.
  23. Maybe replaceable cockpit domes for the VF-22's so they can have heat shields. Maybe make it a 3 pack
  24. My pilot rotates in the YF-21, so I think it does the same on the VF-22's. I dont have one though so it's all based off of assumption.
  25. I think you might be right! Although on the YF-21 they left the window dome open and a small part on the side of the cockpit exposed, but its a bit less noticeable.
