No way I'm getting this, unless I see someone else having no problems with the NUNS triangles.
Also BANDAI should REALLY start issuing replacement parts as well as start having quality control.

Non Macross toy: Legioss fighter, Orguss fighter(4 modes).
Yes you're right about them, but my question was more about toys that are not supposed to have a gerwalk mode, like Transformers for example.
Maybe I wasn't clear enough... I'll edit my post accordingly.
-
Since you're onto this subject, I'd like to ask the community 2 things:
1. Which valk has the best looking Gerwalk in your opinion? Give me your 3 best.
2. Which non Macross toys can have a gerwalk mod that are not supposed to?
-
So, how common of a problem is this actually?
Because I never heard of anyone complain about this. Then again I'm relativelly new here.
-
So, anybody knows of a way to fix it?
-
Mine does the same too, so i guess it's a standard problem. There not enough friction to hold the cockpit up as far as i can tell, at least for mine.
That's what I experience too. Not enough friction to hold the canopy up..
-
I don't know if it helps, but I took some pics for you guys to tell me if you see something wrong/missing.
Sorry for the blur.
-
I already tried to pull the canopy out a bit, but still nothing. Once open it gets really wobbly and just drops.
What problem other people have?
I'm relativelly new here and I haven't noticed anything about it yet...
-
Hey, guys!
About a year ago I bought a YF-21 from HLJ and haven't transformed (actually never opened) till recently, where I noticed that the cockpit's canopy is really loose and wouldn't stay open.
Can anyone with a same problem give me some kind of suggestion or tip how to fix it?
Your input will be greatly appreciated.

I wonder why Bandai isn't issuing replacement parts for those damn triangles. Isn't the costumer's feedback reaching their ears?
I would even buy them if necessary.
-
OMG, these really are cannon fodder units! Seems like this is the worst valk release ever.
LOL, they sure are! Every time I transform it I'm having a series of mini heart attacks.
And I already have a broken triangle...
It's a shame though 'cause it's a really pretty bird, probably my favorite valk design.
-
Haha!
You trully are a Negotiator!
-
I haven't had any issues with mine. Only transformed once and left in battroid.
Idk... some people had issues opening the cockpit - so what does that tell you?
I haven't had issues with mine either up to that point, then I tried transforming it back to fighter mode.
The shoulder pops off with no pressure whatsoever and I think to myself well its just meant to do that.
WRONG!
When I picked up the shoulder and tried to put it on again, i noticed that the black triangle appeared really loose.
A closer examination showed to me that it was broken into 5 pieces!!!
I have 9 different kinds of valkyries in my collection so far and this is the first time one breaks up so easilly on me...

The hell? That guy is using my picture in the auction. I posted it a page back.
LOL
I knew that picture looked familiar.
-
No way. The valk alone I think was more than that.
That's what I thought too, even though it crossed my mind that this might be some kind of special offer since it is a preorder.
Also the title says "armoured" not "armour". Btw can anyone translate from the picture?

You can also compare it with the old one.

@Rabidweezil : LOL...there's no magical place to get one, I'm just going to be prepaired to pay $200+ for the second one.
Too bad $200+ is about $300 already, or even more if you include shipping!
I think I missed this one, since it is WAY too much for me to pay.
My hopes are in a bundle with an armored one from now on.

So ozma has replacement antenae.
Are they necessary? Are they fragile?
-
Yeah my 4 ozmas coming!!!
JESUS!!!!!!
Is this why I can't find any?????

I discussed about the usage of thinner for whitening with a modeller friend, and he actually advised against it. According to him, you would risk making the material brittle after a while...though he admits he is not absolutely certain what exactly would happen to a DX Valk...
Just thought to share...
The problem is that even a 20$ transformer seems to have better quality matterials than a 170$ Valkyrie, since only Alto from my various collections has turned yellow.
Why oh why haven't they used the same plastic all over the toy? I would much rather have it all yellow than this travesty.
Anyway...please forgive my rant...
On the thinner matter, I guess there's only one way to find out.

i use this.. but please do with cautious .. it could hurt the paint
Don't worry man, I'll be super carefull!
Thanx a lot!

uhm actually is kinda trial and error.. when my vf 25 came.after a week or more.. i noticed a few area is start to yellowing.. and then i start to spray it with clear coat.. but then an accident happen with my thinner.. a few of them dripping at my 25.. and then i rub because i'm worry it would hurt the paint.. and then i noticed that the area that was drip by the lacquire thinner is more white than the others. and then i start applying it to other area, perhaps it's like in car when we use compound to eliminate a few scratch.. well it work with me.. i hope it work with others
Thanx for the info Valid!
I'm also willing to give it a try.
Can you give a heads up on the thinner that you used so that i can find an equivalent in my country?

lol
My CF had crumbling NUNS triangles from day one and after a whole year in storage, I took it out today and the left knee just fell apart!
Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones though as it seems to work just fine now, after carefully applying some superglue to the joint.
And even though I love the design of the damn thing, IMHO it is sooo fitting that it's called a Nightmare.
