Yeah....that works...afterall this will enable us to create more of a Macross the First version....which although there has not been a color pic shown yet of the SDF-1 and P and D....I would assume their colors would be more subdued than in the TV versions....

Did you find out if they will be molded in at least two colors: Some red that makes sense and a blue/grey color that works? Since I have no time for painting models, I would really appreciate something that would look close to something that would come out of the box from Yamato (plus maybe some decals)............It'll be nice to compare your work to the P and D released next year as part of Yamato's TV SDF-1!!!

The red on the Yamato lower hull would do nicely and maybe more of a bluish color for the top deck?

So does HLJ getting the "greenlight" from Yamato to sell their VF-4 mean orders from their "core" sales market have been less than expected?

Based on the list found on the link.....only the VF-1J Hikaru "weathered" appears to be susceptible to bad shoulders......

No weathered GBP....instead Yamato released a "missile-effect" armor set......only the Super/Strike Pack was made available as "weathered".....Only place I have seen them recently is via Yahoo Japan.....

Just thought about this....on the back of the Yamato instruction manuals you can find good CAD drawings of the valk or mech the manual belongs to....of course, owning the toy would help....

I have looked in what I would have imagined to be the best source, the Perfect Memory Book, but I cannot find them.

Not for all of them and definitely not all in one book....

The Master Files books are probably your best bet for the VF-1...they also have covered the VF-19, VF-25 and soon the VF-0...plus they are easy to find as they are newer releases.

Older Macross books do have what you are looking for but, again, not for EVERY VF.....as for the Zentradi weapons....I think only the Regult has been given a nice schematic representation....

For destroids, I can only remember the Spartan having a nice schematic done....I would need to go through my books to see if other destroids have had a schematic illustration made for them...

Speaking of Destroids, a Master Files book covering all of them should definitely be considered by GA Graphic!!!......Maybe someone in Japan can suggest that to them?

OK, not trying to be a kill joy, but it's been a few days since I placed my pre-order at NY and I got to say, the longer I wait the more I am questioning paying $400 for a valk. Not sure I am going to make it to the release date without talking myself out of this one. Anyone else having second thoughts after pre-ordering or am I the only one?

No worries.....Yamato most certainly already has a total production count regardless of who ends up cancelling.........the question is, will it be enough? At $400+ each....probably......

I agree. It would be so rad it would make you lose consciousness and your eyeballs would roll back into their sockets.

It'd be best to keep some smelling salts in your medicine cabinet....you may be needing them....

I'd be happy for just a Prometheus and Daedalus in scale with what we already got.

In terms of cruiser mode they're really rather different in many respects.

I'd settle for the MtF compromise for now..... : p
