I just went to the PO to pick up my latest OverDrive haul. All 1/60 v.2 VF-1s. 1A Hikaru w/SS parts, 1S Hikaru w/SS parts, and 1J Hikaru w/TV S parts. All to add to my 1D Hikaru. I love Hikaru. If Misa did not marry him. I would have. Poses will come tonight I hope.

Ok-ran the repair options on the db and it did find some issues.
Can you see if you still experience the errors?
thanks!
Shawn
So far so good. Thanks Shawn! I had just been experiencing small spurts of these outages previously today.

sorry... I try not to think about MI:2 unless I have to...

Me either...BUT, it's almost as if you read my mind. I was thinking while I was posting that post that I would really like to see another shot of him looking over to the left side while pointing his "rifle" over that way. And, BLAM! You did it! LOL

-
Looks great!!
THANKS!
Check it out ruskii...Oh SNAP ruskii. Look's like you got yourself some competition

Comon MM, it looks like it is touching the glass. I'm going to have to deduct 5 points.

1st try at weathering. Tried to copy the yamato ones but not as dirty. Came out ok considering I used a ghetto method...cardboard, pencil, and Q-tips.
Still a good job. It looks nice.
here is my valk ...There's Max, showing off again. He's a Jenius.
yeah, spill the beans Vegas! let's see a picture of your "studio"
well you guys asked for it
ok so i use 2 flourescent lamps and a white cardboard as my background
f-stops....it varies and i shoot at around iso 800-1200 on lowlight situations
and my current set up....

so thats my high tech rig
SEE SEE...He does use a "studio"

Here I'm trying a light blue background. I don't really like it. So I will try a black background I have next. I think it will help the valk stand out more. I also could use some better lighting. I will have to see what I can do about that. Well, these pics are for the flexi anyways. I am trying to get some cool poses. But I think ruskiiVFaussi has me beat for sure.

-
try playing with your camera's white balance settings so you get more natural color.
Thanks I will. I was using the Auto White Balance setting. Not good enough I see.

Great shots everyone! I love these flexi-stands. I need to get some of those new ones though. The older models I have are giving out here and there. Here are a couple pics of the Minmay Rescue from SDFM. You have to "imagine" that Minmay is in the grasps of the 1D for the first since I do not have a hand that will grasp her besides the "chicken" hands and that would take away from the pose. Also with the second pic...but at lease I have Minmay in the shot. I need a different backdrop.

-
After taking another look, this pic is not nearly as good as your guys'. I need a different backdrop. I need a photo studio!

-

I especially like the lighting on the right. You are pretty amazing with a camera.
-
got bored... tried out our backyard ivy as background.
...the other Bond pose.

Minmay...
Hilarious!

But a great background for Minmay

my homage to MI:2...

Awesome! I would like to see this from a few angles if you get a chance. Thank you.

Thank you for the vids EXO. I really wish I could have gone. Next year is the one for me!
Miriya - Next year, YOU'RE MINE!

(I have a lot of practice if I am going to beat you)

Talk about over-saturation.
I just noticed the gun strap! That's exciting! Did anyone else notice it?
Do you have any of the MF 1/100 line David?
-
Great pics. They are making me slightly regret my decision to purchase a Cyclone (I keep saying Cyclone cause I won't be able to afford the Beagle version ever)
On a less depressing note, my MPC Cyclone is number 1302 so we know they must have made at least 1500 of the 3000 Scott Ride Armors. The economy took a crap.
That is good news! And the latter of course we all know is too true...and not good news.
The part of me that gets angry at HG (actually) is that they have a stranglehold on a license that they don't really push. Two Ride armors toys that Toynami supported = dead... Mospeada toys by a non Toynami supported company = completed.
I completely agree with you on both notes. If you own the license and can make something of it, then do it already. That second part just makes me sick.
-
It's not really a part of the VF100's line since it's made by Wave, not by Bandai... but it actually appears to be a toy / "completed model" more than a model kit...
Even though you have a point. You must admit. That valk looks mighty fine. I like how blocky the Battroid is.

Then there is shipping. So with the $11 or so bucks for SAL we are over $80. OUCH! It is very nice and if I could afford it I would probably get it. Hopefully things will change soon on the cashflow.
I have to say though that the detail and sculpt on these things is pretty darned nice. I am loving the Ozma I won at the MW convention transforming contest. Of course there is the sentimental value and that I did not have to pay for it but it is very very cool. The battroid holds poses pretty well but I had trouble getting gerwalk stances. There is a clear piece that clips in to hold gerwalk for you and put on a stand but it is only one pose with that.
Overall I am liking the 100 line so far with the ozma and am seriously considering the armored alto.
Thanks for the input Miriya. I wish good fortune upon you and I both in the cash flow department.
MHO on my experiences with all 4 VF100s:For the first 3, they are all plain valks; no super or armor parts. I found them fun to pose and nice looking enough. Esepcially the VF-25S; the 25F face paintwork is sometimes bad, and the 25G eye piece looks too dull. 25S is the best one to me.
For the Armored 25F; it's a different game. Because of the design, the backpack is so heavy it can't stand on itself. Similar problems exist that it's now more a display piece than a fun toy as I experienced with the plain valks. It looks nice, it can do some nice poses with a good stand (the one that comes with the set is not good enough for battroid mode at all), but it's not something you can watch tv and play with (just like the 3 plain vf100s).
P.S. It's around US$48 to buy it locally, so it's not as difficult a decision to make for me.
Excellent. Those are mostly the answers I wanted to hear. It's too bad that the Armored Version cannot stand on it's own. But, not surprising. I wish I were a local as well. I would drop $48 in a hot second to own one of these guys. My guess is that they are A LOT better than that of the Toynami 1/100 VF-1's? Do you have trouble with any of the joints/arms/legs popping off or loosing to severely?
-
Hey JCS, That's a custom job I had commissioned.
Would you be able to reveal who did that custom? That looks amazing from what I can see. I would like to get a custom GBP like that. Would you take some more pics of just that for me/us please?
-
(Stop-Motion Video)
Short but so so SWEET! Thank you for that.
-
I'm taking back my previous statement. Is it really worth the $70 US? It looks really cool. How well will it hold a pose? Are there pieces that fall off or pop off constantly while transforming it?
-
So, is the VF-25F Armored worth it or should I wait for a sale?
By just looking at ff95gj's pics...I will have to go with yes it's worth it. But then again. I don't even know how much it costs. I need to look that up.
ff95g,
Great pics. Like the others, I enjoy #8. I also like #1, it was the one that sold me.

Your rational is the reason for your own sadness. (Shakes head)I'm just saying that I would only buy Rey or Stick if they were discounted. Fuke I would be happy to pay full price for after selling one of my organs.
Some people can't drop a quarter grand on a toy.Exactly. That's why I am part of the PPMTCSG.

wow
RE : YouTube Vid
I loved how that guy felt the need to put his arm around his girl. What a douche. Like the interviewer is really gonna steal away your girl.
