If you ever decide to make another mold or somehow do more runs of all your destroids and this, you could probably make a killing offering them to Battletech fans. Nah... the closest thing was BattleTech Center, where you actually sat down in a closed cockpit and could play against 7 other people. Tons of buttons and controls. It was great!!! There was a basic set up where the joystick controlled where you went, the throttle stick controlled how fast you went and that was it. But you could enter in a code on the keypad to unlock the other controls for advanced players. There was the right and left foot pedals, the torso rotation, different radars, IR camera view, seperate load, RoF and link controls for each weapon (up to 20-25, I think)... I miss Battletech Center. You don't have to miss it. Check out Dave and Busters. They are a chain resturant and arcade (with Bar). Some of them have the Battletech sim pods. I am sure that there is a webpage out there for them and I am sure that they have a list somewhere of ones posessing the sim pods. I know the one in Cincinnati has them and I am pretty sure that the one in Chicago has them. They have introduced new mechs in the last couple of years. Check it out.

This is indeed the original Behemoth. Check out Brians cache to see all the miniatures that were in the original Battletech game. As you will see most, if not all, have been 'borrowed' from various different anime series. This eventually caused all of these miniatures to be discontinued and some of them to be re-released in resculpted versions.

Also make sure that you are holding onto the pin with a pair of pliers or tweezers. Pins are very good conductors of heat and get HOT really fast.

Because it is a completely redesigned Longbow. The original was of course the Phalanx. The one in the MW4: Mercenaries is actually the 2nd redesign of the mech since the "unseens" were pulled. The first one was rounded off Longbow and the most recent "reseen" squared off Longbow from the computer game. The unseen's were altered enough to not fall under the lawsuit and to represent different battletech technology from when the first ones were released. Some of them were more radically altered than others. Check out the new Rifleman or any of the new OST series as compared to the new Archer. I am sure the artists and scuplters working on the "project pheonix" mechs, as the new designs were called, were very mindful of what would and would not be acceptable as far as tempting the lawsuit agreement.

I am not sure if they were, but they were close enough that they were pulled along with the rest of the "Unseen" Anime mechs. The Battletech folks atleast made an attempt at trying to change the design by turning the legs around to a more human knee action.

It looks great so far. I have to admit I like the way the fuselage looks in you picture. I like the way you light source makes it look like the paint goes from bright white fading into a blue. I realize it is a trick of the light, but it looks kind of cool. Maybe I will have to build my VF-1 and see if I can get that effect. Keep the progress reports coming.

Heh. I think it is to make it close to the TV show as possible. Now I know why they use those missiles liberally. They cant see thru that canopy. No wonder they couldnt hit the broadside of the barn. Top Guns they aint... I don't mean to sound snotty or anything, but have any of you that have commented on the Canopy actually bothered to goto the RT.com site and read the post, before you complained? It clearly states under the transforming picture, that it will come with additional decals and a CLEAR canopy. Plus one other person before me in this thread has also mentioned this already.

I would recommend getting the Field Manuals. There are new weapons and mech variants in them. The only catch is that after the Draconis Combine FM they switch from mechwarrior 2nd to mechwarrior 3rd edition rpg rules. Also they focus on roughly 3050+ history and more militarily orientated. Coming out IIRC the end of the 1st quarter of this year are rewrites of the original House Source books. The new series starts with House Stiener. This might be more what you are looking for, if you want more of the economic, social, and eduactational information. Also coming out around the same time is a War of 3039 source book which looks like it will be really cool. If you are interested in more new releases goto the New Release section of ClassicBattletech.com. As for the comment that the 2750 book was just like the 3025 book, it depends on which 3025 you have (before or after the unseens we removed). Also if you look at it, the 2750 book mechs are for the most part different variants of the mechs. 2750 are more advanced techwise. There are er weapons, xl engines, and double heatsinks. For instance tthe Flashman in 2750 has 15 DHS, an XL engine goes 5/8, and has an Antimissile system. The 3025 Flashman has a standard engine goes 4/6, has no AMS, and has 23 SHS.

That was Rick that got shot down and fished out of the ocean. He was in the hospital when Max and Miryia fight in the city. I think it might also be just about the same time as Roy buys it. "Farewell, Big brother" is the episonde name I believe. Roy makes it back on board, seemingly not noticing his wounds and falls over playing the guitar in Claudia's quarters. If I remember, there are a couple of aircraft handlers or techs that make some mention about the amount of damage the valk has taken.

They are there because it has the potential of being a really cool toy. And if you noticed, this isn't about the toy, but it IS about why there is secercy. If you are so annoyed about the Y/VF-19 FP messages, then don't look at them. It is that simple. Until a Mod tells people to be careful about posting so much about a particular topic we don't have to listen to you, especially when you use all caps. So, quit yelling!

I just modded a Jetfire and used Pine Sol for everything. The Metal came clean with minimal brushing with an old toothbrush and the paint came off the plastic without damaging it. It did require more time in the Pine Sol and a little more brushing, but it did come out fine.

I have the first MPC and was disappointed. I wanted more diecast. I have not had any problem instabiltiy or fragility. However, that being said, the later versions of MPCs had more diecast and I know people that really like them. If you really want Archer's I would get it since it is a Toynami exclusive. I have not heard any concrete details about the Alpha's.
