  1. And now we see Atari Force's contribution to Mass Effect. Like the Hanar, Morphea's species don't use self possessive pronouns (Hell, the pronoun "I" is forbidden for that species to use; regular Atari Force #7; her mental battle with Psiclops in that particular issue was classic).
  2. Can't beat Frezetta. I read an article in the Houston Comical (Chronicle) that it was his artwork that inspired Conan's actor for this role.I haven't read of any of Howard's works, but isn't Conan a disciple of Sun Tsu (tactically speaking, that is; I know he worships Crom)?
  3. Oops, my mistake. I always thought there was a hyphen in between the "S" and the "X" for the original Playstation code, like Macross Valkyrie designation codes.See, guys I admit when I'm wrong when I know it. A Playstation 2 that had a built-in Tivo-like device? Why didn't the States get a crack at buying this one? Screw you Japan .
  4. Right now I'm on a classic game fix. I'm juggling between Chrono Cross (PS-X), SaGa Frontier 1 (PS-X), and The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age). For those of you who don't know, PS-X is the term used to describe the original big Sony Playstation. I would also like to give a very big F*CK YOU _-|-- to all those hackers who screwed over the Comabt Training on CoD: Black Ops. I was looking to Prestige on Combat Training in that game. Basicly what those a$$holes did was go to 15th. Prestige in Combat Training, and then hack that Prestige level to their normal multiplayer. F*cking shitheads.
  5. Don't forget the feudal Japanese hero Hachiman!I went into the series with a few reservations, but finding out that Madhouse was behind the series and Will Friedle (Terry McGinnis/Batman in Batman Beyond) as Lion-O got me hooked. I espicially liked Episode 3, where the entire episode was an homage to Moby Dick. Cheetarah does look better animated than she does in that character shot that was shown earlier in this thread. I also especially like the nod to the original series by haveing the actor who did the voice of the original Lion-O be that of the King in this series. I also recognize Groon (Lex Luthor, Superman the Animated Series; Silas, Transformers Prime) and Panthro's (Bulkhead, Transformers Prime). A little off topic, but I swear that Jim Cummings did the voice for that red Decepticon sports car in TFP (okay, I'm not sure on this one).
  6. Admit it, guys, Mako and James Earl Jones were acually the ones who made the original film good. Jones really made a good high priest of Set, and I loved Mako as the wizard.
  7. I bet when that thing's fully asssembled, it's going to be heavy as all hell. It's going to be one awesome looking statue once it's completed, I'll give you that.
  8. I saw a few snippets of that rant when Thirty Mile Zone aired that on one of their weekday episodes. Classic Warrior; too bad he lost his hair though, he doesn't look good bald, unlike Hogan, who's basicly been bald since he joind WCW.
  9. I hope the hatchet job wasn't as bad for Voltron as it was when they turned Gatchaman into Battle of the Planets. Now that was a series they took a machete to.
  10. Hopefully that game will be a step up form Brutal Legend. Shaeffer tried to mix an action game with a real-time stategy genre, and unlike Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, he it failed to come up to the bar set with his other games.
  11. We do not want an "X" rating for this film.
  12. Agreed. I think Fox was calling Bay a fascist in the way he directs people (which is something in common with Steve Yun). But yeah I think that comparing him to either Stalin or Mussolini would've been more appropriate, since they were both equally fascist.
  13. To quote Christine (Moose) from You Can't do That on Television..."Yeah, but all the good movies are rated "R"."
  14. As for the racism of the movie, it's set during the early sixties, right before the Civil Rights Bill was passed into law (the Cuban Missle Crisis was shown in the trailer, if I'm not mistaken). I haven't seen the movie yet (nor have I seen III, but from what I've heard of that film it pisses off just about every X-Men fan out there), so I can't really comment on it. I just might wait until it comes out on either Netflix or video.
  15. I saw one show (I can't remember which one; could've been a news program aired when the first X-Men movie came out) that compared mutantcy to homosexuality (I know the I Love the 80's called He-Man and the Masters of the Univese to being close to homoerotic as a kid's cartoon can get in an tongue-in-cheek sort of way).
  16. I had a suspicion about the relationship between Squall and Laguna, but the rest of the spoilers??? But I'm not suprised, since furtheset I went into the game was the beginning of Disk 4. My only probelm with the game wasn't the draw system, but the unlimited summons of the Guardian Forces; you can acutally summon them enough times to turn your foes into pate.
  17. Okay, so I couldn't remember the actor's name and I posted the first name that came to mind as the perfect Bruce Banner. I see that I'm on some sort of probation, needing moderator approval and all. I wonder how long this little ray of sunshine will last.
  18. Almost as good as when he was turned into Swiss Cheese on this year's season finale of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
  19. More like the Ice needle. Well at least the old "First Sommerset Strikers" Battletech cartoon pulled it off decently. At least they used CG only for the Clan Battlemech's Enhanced Imaging.
  20. I see that Mick Foley and Hulk Hogan went over to TNA, but did they have to bring along that dick Eric Bichoff with them???
  21. So that was the douche they got to play Thor on AOTS. It seems that Jericho answered Pereirra's "Speaker Phone" (check out that dick's Screen Savers commercial with who I think is Victor Lucas to see what I'm talking about).
  22. I wonder which Avengers character did a cameo in this film. Because Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man) appeared in the Gary Oldman version of the Incredibe Hulk.
  23. I think I'm going to projectile vomit.
  24. I'm sorry, but anything in that francise made after Cameron's masterpiece is a pile of dog sh*t that even Rick Dale can't turn into gold. They're almost as bad as the Starship Troopers movie franchise (probably the main reason I hate that franchise (S.T.) is that I read the masterpiece before seeing the film; Heinlein must be rolling in his grave); the only good thing that came out of the Starship Troopers franchise is the Combat Command paperback gamebook. Hopefully this film will be on the caliber of "Return of the King" or, to a lesser extent, "The Return of the Jedi" in terms of closing out the Nolan Batman franchise.
  25. At least Michael Ling's artwork was better than the Waltrip bros., but not by much. My favorite Malcontent Uprisings issue happens to be #7, my favorite panel being the one where Breetai gives this one Army of the Southern Cross grunt the Big Bad Boot to the face. Funny that Palladium's biggest seller is Rifts; most of the Robotech books were pretty good except for one, Lancer's Rockers. Too bad that the combat system utterly sucks king-size donkey dicks. I used to collect the books, too (they were cheap compared to the other stuff, now I see why). It's one of the reasons why I'm thinking of getting back into Earth Dawn, at least that system was interesting (that game was probably one of the sources for the Dragon Age franchise).I wouldn't be suprised that Kevin will lose the license to Wizards of the Coast and their D20 juggernaut (too bad 4th editon of Dungeons and Dragons turned me off).
