  1. Surprisingly, I am way more interested in this toy than the Fire Valkyrie. I can haz VF-171 plz?
  2. Looks pretty sweet. Ironically, the color scheme was never a problem for me until the threads about this toy, lol.
  3. Finally took the plunge on the YF-21. Huzzah!
  4. Any idea when these will be ready to be shipped?
  5. Isn't there an inverse relationship between screen time and price for valkyrie toys? IIRC, the VE-1 has like 10s of screen time in DYRL.
  6. I've had a good experience with the VF-1D so far. That said, the pegs on the back of the air intakes seem to be just a tiny bit large and took some patience and carefully calibrated pressure to unseat for the first couple transformations. No problems at all with the shoulders. For context, it's been transformed 4 or 5 times so far.
  7. It's still in the box? Good luck, man.
  8. Dude, how can you stand that? I can't leave these things in their boxes.
  9. What about the hikaru VF-1J w/ super parts?

    BUSTED!

I don't think I would ever take any valk more expensive than a revoltech to the office. Too many people make the assumption that stuff on someone's desk is in the public domain and okay to touch. I myself have made this assumption in the past, only to find out that I was pissing someone off. So, my outlook on this is: 1. If you take something to the office, prepare for it to be touched. Hopefully not to the degree of the nosecone in dark places joke. 2. (This is mostly a corrolary to 1) If you don't want something to be touched, don't take it to the office. 3. If you bring stuff in, I will touch it. Another thing informing this is a story my mom always used to tell about an office toy my dad had. It was an ultra-realistic foam rock that he used to throw at people to freak them out. Then he came in one day and it was gone. No more freaking people out. In closing, you are more courageous than I in this regard.
  11. Transformed my vf-1d back to battroid. Was significantly easier to get the pegs out this time. Everything intact so far.
  12. I transformed my VF-1D back into gerwalk and re-attached the peg (obviously) in doing so. We'll see how the next transformation goes.
  13. That, sir, is made out of pure distilled awesome with a side of awesome under awesome gravy.
  14. Dude, I must have those option parts. URL plz?
  15. I got the VF-1D transformed without breaking anything! It looked like there was a surplus of paint on the die-cast part that the pegs go into. I'll file it eventually, but this guy is staying in battroid mode for a while. What I did to avoid damaging the pegs is take a thin piece of plastic (my driver's license, in this case), slide this between the air intake and the die cast part, and put gentle pressure on it. Eventually, the pegs popped out. For reference, I mean really gentle -- it took around 5 minutes or so to get both of the pegs out. On another note, this is an awesome valk, and a pretty sweet toy. This is the valk that started it all for me. Wooooooooooooooooooooo!
  16. So, you're going to get a replacement right leg? I still haven't taken another shot at mine (no time, not trepidation).
  17. How did you get the peg to unstick? I think I'm having this same problem w/ my newly-arrived VF-1D.
  18. GU11- Dude, I'm worried that the same thing is goin to happen to my VF-1D from the same sale. I'm having trouble detaching both of the legs on this peg. It looks like the plastic might be fatigued, but I'm not sure, because I haven't gotten the legs off yet. I was wondering what you folks would do -- I can get the pegs to wiggle out a little, but not all the way. I was thinking of getting a credit card or a thin piece of polystyrene and trying to gently pry them out (and then remove some of the paint from the metal piece the peg goes into). Thoughts?
  19. That's funny, I was looking at the sale at HLJ and wondering the same thing. I ordered it after reading this thread. The VF-1d was the Valk that got me into all of this stuff.
  20. Dude, yes. I don't remember how deeply it was discounted, but I was disappointed about that one too.
  21. I just found that the sniper rifle for my 25G is partially melted -- it looks like i accidentally left a couple sticks of incense in contact with it and something in the incense made the plastic soft. Does anyone know whether it's possible to order individual replacement parts for stuff like this?
  22. I hope not either and wasn't aware that there was a run with shoulder issues. I was under the impression that the big problems with the shoulders were with the Roy VF-1S. How bad of an issue are we potentially talking about? I can probably still cancel the order at this point.
