  1. I painted the inside face of the visor with the Tamiya Clr. Green, right out of the bottle with a no. 3 detail brush. To get a 'light' effect, I pasted on 1/16" strips of Model Master Ultra Thin Krome Foil (#50637C) over the black plastic part where the visor snaps onto. That way it will reflect light back out and glow. Very fussy detail but it gives a nice effect. And it was reading some of your posts that I made sure the chin is painted. I would've missed that detail no matter how many times I watch the show. Cheers!
  2. This as far as got over the weekend. It's a really well designed kit! I gotta hand it to Bandai. This the first injection kit I'm putting together since the late 80's...thank God it's a snap fit! Anyhow, my question is: does anyone have a translation of the color chart that comes with the kit? Apologies if this question has already been covered.
  3. Agreed. Just got my double pack of VF-25F today and noticed the same thing about the pilot. Way out of scale IMO. I may forego taking the time and energy painting the little b*stard, and leave him out of the cockpit entirely. Until you can mold a better one PetarB!
  4. That's brilliant! Would love to see this work. Real impressive work from the both of you - Jarrod and Wm. Will be looking to you guys on this board for tips once my kits arrive.
  5. Not convinced by the recent pics either, especially in this economy. Gonna wait until the jury's out on these. The deal breaker would be the widdle-wanding gears in fighter mode. That's a real shame if they're not improved from the mock-up to look like the ones on the 1/72 kit. All other modes look fine to me.
  6. Thanks for responses. I've tried both discs and even tried using CDLoader. Got so fed up. I suspect it's a conflict w/ the 3.0 version and my system version. Who the f~ knows? I'll try to track down a copy of Swap Magic 2.0 but at this point it's money down the drain. If I can convince myself to do it just so I can be kid all over again, then I'll just have to drop some more on a pre-modded PS2 from modchipman.com
  7. whatta bummer! I've already done a search on the subject and I've got some idea about my woes, but I thought I'd post anyway. My sad story is: I got a flip-top and swap disc 3.0 to play the Macross game I got from Play-Asia. My PS2 is about 4yrs old (not sure the version...I haven't looked to see. I got it when Metal Gear Solid 2 came out). Anyway, I tried to load up the Macross import with the swap disc and it won't load. I just get the red border-that looks like hot pink. Now, it could be a whole host of things that's not allowing me to play this game, but anyone else out there having the same problem? I realise that the swap disc products page says it is only designed for back-ups and such, not imports. So just what is the deal with swap magic and playing imports then? Looks like my PS2 console is a freak and that I'll to modchip-it to get it to play imports. Just thought I'd get it out here to vent...and see if anyone has any suggestions.

  9. sort of late in the game on this one folks, so bear with me...thanks to Graham for pointing me in the right direction after making an ass of meself on another topic. Anyway, right to the point: where to get a copy of the game stateside once this superstar gets out? Any suggestions to on-line importers? Saw that lik-sang.com has it on pre-order status for 60 US bills. After getting a swap disc to play this one on my PS2 I'll be, yeah, 100 bills in the hole. the CFO (aka wife/accountant) is gonna clobber me for this one...
  10. check this out for you ps2-philes: http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/choujik...ew_6076093.html Hooray! just have to wait and see...
