Probably a dumb thought, but the DYRL issue can't still be related to the "Clash of the Bionoids" release, can it?
Partially, yeah

As of Wednesday, Hulu is now (at least partially) absorbed into Disney+. My bet is that this hub is where Macross will appear in the app.
That's been in preview for two months, I think. Not sure if it was available to everyone with a sub, or just some of us.
edit: read the article, was in beta for four months.

I'm debating going to see this, or waiting for it to hit streaming. I'll watch it at some point, just a question of where.

I am wondering if somone wanted to change KOTOR.
Like I think exploring Light vs Dark conflict was done in KOTOR 2...and it was one of divisive works.
It was only divisive because it was released unfinished and buggy with a lot of content cut. Obsidian was forced to rush it out the door by LucasArts and Microsoft. Thankfully, the cut content remained on the disc, and years later a fan project was able to fix many of the bugs and restore much of what was incomplete.
The story itself is well-loved by the fans.

They're not joking about that being a teaser. Barely a hint of things.

You don't think it's too early for that? I was thinking season 3.

Even though I read what happens in the books. . . Eff the Greens!
😬
Yeah, I chose not to post the Green trailer. Up with the Blacks, down with the Greens.

No one said this Dark Side-user was, specifically, a Sith.
Totally might not be. But I'm ok if it is.

Oh, this is good news: apparently, The Acolyte was mostly shot "on location" and not in the Volume. They also are doing a lot of practical effects and puppet work.
-
I don't really give a good gosh darn what was established in the prequels. And I'd rather Star Wars productions ignored them instead of embraced then.
They want to retcon when Sith were last encountered, more power to them, I say. 👍

This is a good read. I especially liked the show runner talking about the Jedi being at the height of their powers in this era, and that they'd only pull out their lightsabers if they were really threatened. And really, not much can truly threaten them in this time period.

It's about time they moved away from the Skywalker era.

Sad to see Masters of the Air come to an end, but it was a hell of a ride. After waiting for years for this series to release, I can't help feeling you wish there were a few more episodes still to come.
I felt episode's 8 & 9 were a bit crammed, in that they were trying so hard to shove as much story as they could into such a short run time. MOTA needed to either be 1 hour & a half long episode's or 10 or 11 episode's long.
Overall, I give this series very high marks for original score, use of actual/authentic B-17 sound effects (as in they actually went to preservation society's & used their Forts to film from), overall, the acting & dialog, sets & unforms was very good, CGI was hit & miss a few times, though the last episode spared no expense.
My only complaints were, the lack of seeing M-3 & M-5 Flak helmets plus a variation of Goggles, (Polaroid 1021 & M44 types were as well, not just the AN6530 which is what you see everyone wearing throughout the series. The Biggy, by 1944, definitely by D-Day, most B-17 E/F models had been destroyed in combat or salvaged for parts and the B-17G with chin gun turret (the most produced variant), operated by the Bombardier would have been the prominent Fortress seen at this stage of the series, pretty sad that A-list producers like Hanks & Spielberg missed this. The other is the scenario with Quinn & Bailey, not seeing those two actually make their escape from Belgium with the Resistance however them simply appearing at Thorpe Abbotts in new uniforms with a ticket home felt very lack luster, at least we know they survived.
As I said, minus some nitpicks here & there, I really enjoyed this series & just like BoB & The Pacific, I'll get MOTA on Blu-ray as well.
I thought MotA was uneven, but still fairly good. Better than The Pacific but not as good as Band of Brothers. Definitely felt like it needed a 10th episode so the story had more room to breathe.

I did a little poking around on social media and, holy cow, is there a lot of bad information out there regarding this news.

There's so much more information to come. I guess we'll need to wait and see what else comes out.

The official Macross website says it will be on Star. We don't have Star in the US; that content generally ends up on Hulu.
I mean, could it end up on Disney+ in the US? I suppose, but that's not their standard operating procedure.

Chainsaw Man is not directly on D+. D+ has been known for editing movies and shows inconsistently. I’m not sure if they touched Deadpool at all, but the did edit Splash and that wasn’t even R rated. I’d be disappointed if they did something to that scene in the first episode of frontier when that guy got juiced.
But it's not going to be directly on Disney+. It's going to be on Star (or probably Hulu in the US).

I bring up Star (and Hulu, because I'm in the US) because Star was mentioned in the press release. I assume that's where Macross will reside, not directly on Disney+.
Edit: Japanese Macross website says definitively it'll be on Star.

That's interesting. I'm not at all familiar with how they treat mature content (or Chainsaw Man, for that matter), so my curiosity is mostly how they'd treat the central subject matter in Plus.
Internationally, non-Disney content goes on Star; in the US (or NA?) it's on Hulu. But it's all under one app.

How much you wanna bet Disney will remove parts from the different series that they don't like or agree with. 😛
They didn't remove anything from Chainsaw Man, why would they move content from Macross?

This show is a home run. Critically acclaimed and popular with viewers. It was a hit with me and some of my friends who have never played the games. Male and female. I look forward to season 2.
