Also, anyone else need parts? Maybe we can all keep an eye out, and scavenge another broken one to fix ours. -

Haha, well, lets see if it makes it here first. Yeah, I guess it doesn't matter which arm I find to fix this one -

Gakken Beta fighter on Ebay

And I would have paid quite a bit more too. I guess now that Toynami may be releasing a Beta, interest in these have died down, or the seller named the auction title a little wrong, or you were all still sleeping -
Hmm, not quite the dogfight misslefest I thought it would be. Definitely need this one subbed to get the big picture. The entire airforce with the aircarriers started to get exciting, but nothing much happened. Seeing the Supersylph's piloted by regular pilots was cool though. I do think it needed more action. Oh well

320399[/snapback] The link I'm seeing on http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/_main_menu.htm goes here... http://www.macrossworld.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi Which doesn't work for me. -
Is TMP Anime confused about these toys, or am I? TMP is using the same pictures for it's Yamato toys that HLJ is using for the Atelier Sai toys. They are all about $60 too. Uh oh, I have to own these! WHY'D I CLICK THE THREAD?!
-
Is the Strike flying in the atmosphere in one of those pics? That probably wouldn't work too well
-
I don't think I'll be getting the Yamato ones, they seem a little cheap, too small, and I'm not seeing any action poses. The A.Sai ones look great though they are still too small.
-
I've seen some close up pics of these figures, they're really impressive. I read that they are very limited in quantity.
-
I got the limited one on Saturday. I was really impressed. The thing weighs like a brick. Like all metal really. It's actually much nicer quality than I thought it would be, so yay!

Haha, I was all ready to pay for some stuff like the day this thread was created, but haven't heard back. -
Awesome article written before Columbia first flew, predicting it's demise, and explaining the history, and problems with the shuttles. http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/...k-fulltext.html

I thought about that, but even two artists looking at the same pictures are going to pick out different details, but everything is the same on these two. The hands have the same amount of like 20 degree movement side to side, the shoulderblades for no reason have springs on them that allow them to be pried out on the inside edge, then the spring snaps them back. They both have this. All the joints move in the same ways.
-
After playing around with this thing, and comparing, I'm absolutely sure they copied the Aoshima Endoskeleton. Certain things like the shoulder blades having springs are good indicators. Every single detail that's in the Aoshima is in the NECA, even the tiniest little marks and lines. They removed all the die cast, and added light up eyes, and moving hip joints. It is really pretty cool, it can stand on it's own, but only in a few poses, the non adjustable rear foot ball thing is to blame. For $40 though, this is quite a bargain.

Sorry about the Alien head pic. I was posting and talking on the phone at the same time. Also, goodbye Aoshima, it's going on eBay.
