  1. I was actually kinda bummed that I gave in and bought yet another valkyrie (seriously, I don't have room for them!), but holy cow this thing is really gorgeous. The quality of the plastic is really something, it feels dense and... shiny! It's so freaking smooth & shiny! It's awesome! This was actually the first photo I took after transforming it. I hadn't tried posing it yet. That gun is huge.
  2. Er, ya. I just translated the page to figure that out It's probably Aya Endo, Sheryl's acting voice. I say "probably," because Google was not kind, The first word's "audio commentary." That much of the translation makes sense, at least.
  3. I made this the other night to show up in iTunes and I rather like it, so I thought I'd share it That's the scan of the booklet combined with the slip that goes around the back of the case that you're supposed to throw away (it's the only thing that says "Macross" on the cover). The only problem with that is that it ends up being wider than most album art, and doesn't quite 'fit the box' all the time. It probably looks more like the original artwork than what arrived on the CD booklet. Aside from fixing the funky color balance from my scanner, in Photoshop I did a smart blur on one layer to get rid of the remaining moire pattern and then sharpened the remaining stuff by doing a high pass on another layer (duplicate the layer, high pass, then set the transfer mode of the layer from Normal to Overlay, and reduce the opacity to adjust the amount of influence). I also had to do some selective removal of the smart blur because it blurred a bit too much, so the moire pattern still pops up in a few places (plus the high pass reintroduced a bit). Er, that's a 500K JPEG. I encode music Apple Lossless, so it's just a fraction of the file size for me. You may want to reduce it The album's excellent btw, better than the first OST.
  4. According to episode 22, Sheryl's been infected for 17 years (and I'm guessing she's about 18 when she's told). There's definitely more to this. There's definitely some 'transfer' of people from the 117 fleet to Galaxy. Is there a date about when Galaxy left Eden? (if you follow the squiggly lines in the first episodes, it departed from Eden, whereas Frontier departed from Earth). There MUST be another series. There probably won't be, but there MUST be.
  5. Hi all, long time no see. The only chance I got to see Macross 7 was when the Shenshi TV links were posted to afm. I've seen a few torrents of the first couple M7 episodes, but it seems that Animeskyscraper (I know nothing about them) have started encoding M7 again. Hopefully these will be much better than the craptacular RealVideo Shenshi TV versions. So far the first 10 episodes are up; there up as two file archives (1-5, and 6-10). I'm downloading the first as I write, so I can't comment on them yet :-/ I'm sure you're all aware of how BitTorrent works by now But if not, get a client from http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent. If you're using a Mac, use Sarwat's awesome client at sarwat.net. You can get the M7 torrents from here, http://www.animeskyscraper.com/tracker/
