I like the work on those trunks! Pretty neat.
-
Have to love those lucky finds...

I came across this while doing some looking around before starting my Jolly Roger'a tribute VF-25S.
There are three pics a little more than half way down of a white VF-25 with forwards swept wings and a different head peice.
http://www.sgcollect.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59491&st=180
The wings, I'm sure, are from the YF-19. I think the head too, and the shield definitely.
The idea needs a little work, but that might be a future build!

just found this exact kit today at a thrift for $1.00, complete, even a brand-new quality fine brush in there, only problem, a missing instruction manual.
if anyone here has built this kit, or a similar one in 1/48, and can spare their manual to send my way, i'd deeply appreciate it...

You got that for a DOLLAR!!?
I hate, but envy you so much.
I just dropped fifty on one...

-
It's still up, about $30 with FREE shipping! But only 9 left...
-
You're going to turn it into a flying, transforming repair yard! Awesome.I can't wait!
-
Sweet! Nice start on the the shading. And you're right, it is a weighty kit.

Here's my finally finished Sherman "Firebug" to go along with the fictional German TD I posted back in Feb.
It isn't real (obviously), and firebug is my own made up nickname (shoulda probably used Arquebus, or Adder, or Anvil or something, but that's taking it too seriously)
Not nearly as involved as making the German TD from scratch, but it was fun cutting and filling and sanding nonetheless.
I'm no painter, but from a distance it looks alright.
That tank looks great. Cool WHIF!

I know, but you get a lot of detail for that fifty, even before spending almost twice that on the PE sets, if you'r not going to buy the resin detail peices from Catalyst Creations https://www.facebook.com/pages/Catalyst-Creations/345458355475644 - and someone may be doing more detailed engines... whew...
A little more done today,
She finally started to wear her gray, after I added the long range tactical comm suite,

...and the dome of what I'm calling the Advanced Range DRADIS - ARDRIS for short,

And the gray,

Now I have to finish the engines and get the guns loaded up and she'll soon be dun.

-
Oh yah! I've seen that picture, and have plans of - eventually - doing a similar mod.
Nicely done on that one! Kewl.
-
Here's my next one. The Galatica.

Just not the one your thinking of...

-
Wow, nice work EXO.
Cheng, I applaud your mad masking skills, despite how insane they made you...
And Phyrox, that Panzer looks damn mean! And I once had a model of that Camaro!
-
My next build, the Viper Mk VIII - as built by the Rag Tag survivors of the Cylon Holocaust.

-
They sell the original super parts seperately, does anyone know if they will ever sell the Tornado parts the same way?
-
Yes very nice! I always liked that design, although this one looks like an Earth built variant. I'd love to have one!
-
Why couldn't they land it like the Talon's in the movie Stealth? Much more showy-er that way.
-
That's a cool battlepod. I always liked the officer's pod better than the grunts.
-
In that is was more Guiding Light rather than Star Wars.
-
Very cool. And I like the base. Nice!
-
That Ghost is one lovely witch!
-
Current SyFy 'movies' being a case in point...
Oh, how I wish Singer/DeSanto had been able to get their Battlestar Galactica show to the TV...
I'm not saying I hated the Moore show, it was very good, the but the stories were too much like a soap opera rather than a space opera...
-
Well, if they're watching this, I - added to others - wish for a reboot. The first one was cool because it was the Transformers on the BIG SCREEN! But there was no Spike. And there was very little robot to robot interaction, just us flesh-bags squirling about like mad things and yipping. They could do the G-1 storyline so well, I don't understant why they didn't from the first.
As for the Third movie, they wasted a great opportunity. With her Royal High Ass having been kicked off the project, they should have gone further and killed her character completely. Get a body double, CG her face for some quick, flashback shots, and use any one of the thousands of sound clips of her screaming Sam's name - and then have Starscream step on her. It would have brought a darker focus onto Sam's character, a vengeful air that Prime, in his infinite wisdom, could have counseled against. But no, the love affair is just suddenly 'over,' a new super model girlfriend has been jammed into place, complete jealous agnst, and yadda yadda yadda Hollowood Hollowood Hollowood...
Reboot!
-
Finished! I'll post more pics in its own thread, but for now, here's the Battlestar Nemein, along with her escort the Battlestar Kara.

Those VF-1s look just great!
Here's more on my Big-G, the Nemein.
