  1. Good news, for the most part. I did like it, but there are things I hope they change, such as some better writing. There were quite a few moments of old cheese in there. I imagine they were trying to copy some humor from the animated series and it just didn't carry over well. Another is the actors playing Sokka and Zuko...

    Spoiler

...need to do a lot better - or they need to go. Sokka just seems aimless and there just for comic relief that isn't funny. Then there's Zuko... I much prefer the movie version, who came off as a dangerous hot head, whereas this one is just super whiny and full of frustrated complaining. If those actors can do better, then great, but if not...

Yeah, the proportions on Breetai's flagship are off. I'd think the model would need to be longer or something. It's too brick-ish and needs to be tapered.

There is a resin model of it that I would love to get that looks proportionally correct and awesome!

@pengbuzz Looking great! Nice to see a full crew in there. Dom is going to look fine back there 'in the pit.' As to the missing feet... I have no answer, though I can promise* there is no fetish involved!😊

*In truth, I can make no promises...

  3. Yes, it's just set in the Tron universe. That was one of the drawbacks of Legacy, as there was far too little of Tron, though I rewatched it today and, except for the de-aging, it holds up well enough. Looking back, I think they should have spent their money on de-aging Boxleiter in order to show more of Tron rather than having two versions of Flynn, but that's water spilled ten years ago. Plus, the Tron movies should be about (Tron of course!) being on the Grid. AI's done in the real world have been done before, and really hold little interest for me.

So, yeah, so far less reason to watch this.

Was wondering about this after seeing the trailer this weekend. You mean to say they're still going with the argument that there were no witnesses?

No, I think GB II no longer happened. There were no references at all in Afterlife to the sequel, just throwbacks to the original, Unless, of course, they toss some in with this sequel...

You forgetting all the other franchises that enjoyed making NYC suffer 😆

Well, if we're bringing other franchises into the mix, NYC is a favorite target!:D

Another doomsday apocalypse emerging from NYC... Really trying hard to catch up to Tokyo for most cursed land on Earth. 🤣

Well, only two major apocalypses in thirty years*, so I think they're doing pretty good.:p

*before anyone mentions Ghostbusters II, I think it's been retconned out of existence.

    "bust"?

okay, looks like Caitlin O'Shaunnessy just joined the crew! :D Greatly appreciated!!!

Man, I had such a crush on her back in 'the day.'😁 But yeah, Moebius gave separate chest pieces for either a male or female pilot.

  7. @VertexNebula Welcome! And a nice intro. Looks like a nice little kit, fitment notwithstanding. Any idea of scale?

@pengbuzz Those will be in a shuttle flight heading out Monday from Caprica. They had a little too much RnR, so treat them gently. And by 'gently' I mean Drill Sergeant Gently! whip them into fine shape! And if you use the one with the bust one will be in even finer shape!

@Urashiman Your Padewan has a nice eye for a pretty plane. And gray is good. I looked around a came actoss this...

  8. Whether or not CLU's plan would have worked depends a lot on 'hand-wavism.' A lot of sci-fi works best with a certain level of suspension of belief, esp since that in movies reality/physics generally bend to the will of the story. It's been a decade since I saw it last, but I think I recall that there was some fear that Quoora would not survive the transition to the real world, but then we see her on the back of Sam's bike, enjoying the sunrise just before the credits role.  For me, that lends some credence that it was possible for the rest to happen also. It's the fiction part of sci-fi.😉

    On that note: UPDATE:

Got the seats scratched up and fitted in. Even following the plans, they look a little tight together (too close) as compared to the show. But I scaled them, and I only have so much room to work with. I doubt though folks will be looking too closely.

    At least she has a cockpit now;

    On now to the EDCC....

    Stay tuned...

Hey, Peng! Don't know if you've already considered them, but how about Colonial Viper pilots? The 1/32 Mark VII Vipers comes with a pilot and the helmet is similar to the Airwolf helmets, as in completely closed up like a biker helmet.

If you need two, I got two.
