I'm of the opinion that there shouldn't need to be any tie-in material. Everything pivotal to the movie/franchise should be in the movie/franchise as seen on screen.
-
@Kurt Great work on that JLTV. The wear and the mud really tie in.

You know, I've though about scratch building one out of styrene but that was many years ago. You however, I think you could do it!
Oh, and I edited my post so it didn't like look a five-year old typed it!😊

I would love to have a NMC model in cruiser mode! Though maybe a little bit bigger. I actually started a little in surprise when the huge hands came in to grasp that tiny box.
Nice looking model though, and that it is so articulated is great.

@pengbuzz Awesome! Glad you got it figured out. Awaiting to be tuned!

Having never played the game, I'm up for another fantasy movie with magic and swords and maybe some dragons. Not enough of them.
Just please, don't be as bad as World of Warcraft!

The Like/Dislike button are really that. Did a person like it, or not, or is undecided/doesn't care to click either.
The term "Review-Bombing" was created by film studios, and still used by them and whoever they pay to market them, to "try" deviate from the masses' discontent with their product. The term shouldn't be used as a way to shrug off mass opinion just because the minority disagrees with it.
That said, sock puppet/bots services are VERY expensive, and if anything, probably only major studios can afford them, and if it was studio against studio, everyone would know it as the numbers would be unrealistically inflated on both ends.
Well, I don't care where the term came from. It seems to fit, as I think most people are not liking it (IMO )based more on history than what it actually will be. As always, I prefer to wait until it airs before deciding whether it's going to suck or not. If it's good, great. If it sucks on its own merits and not the failings of previous series, then oh well, it's just a TV show.

I'm actually more inclined to call it 'review bombing.' It's a teaser that doesn't show that much, so we know literally little about it. Cetianly not enough to complain so much, though that never stopped anybody.

I think it's important to keep in mind that all models are interpretations by the builder that can be as dedicated as possible to factional/fictional datums or just simply as fanciful. Neither is wrong, especially in a fantasy work such as this.

Or it might be gooed (enough).

No, totally different. The tail rotor is on the wrong side. Nothing to see here.

@Urashiman Trippy paint scheme! And lovely figure.
-
Great final product! Shame it required so much work, but you conquered it in fine fashion!

Yeah… just flakes off. So I am not going to use it for model building.
Sounds great when printing toys for the Scion though!

@Urashiman Great that they won't break, but how will it do under paint? I imagine you might get a lot of flaking.

Not sure what "plunge molding" is; I do know the "heat and smash" technique (heat plastic, pull over buck), but I would have to carve a buck for the canopy and I don't have a lot of luck getting proportions right.
Basically the same thing.
Do you still gave the canopy 'glass' that it came with? I know in the first pic it looks tinted, but you could use it as a master to make a buck or maybe to trace out the shape onto new clear plastic.

NICE!!! Sometime if I come across a 1/100 VF-1 kit, I should consider at least some of those!
BTW: looks like you dinged up your right index and middle fingers! O.o Watch out: those models can bite!!!
Seriously, I'm sure all of us have those "badges of honor" from our endeavors with modelling. I know I get at least one during any kit or project I build!
Thanks! And yeah: just waiting on more Plastic Welder (next Wednesday) to continue that project. I still need to make the windshield for it (no idea how to do that just yet!) and seal up the cockpit before painting. Also still waffling on doing attachable weapons on it. Meantime, my parts for Reliant should be in this morning; I've already done some modifications to the warp nacelles to make them look more like the Refit's (they originally had a "belly" on the bottom, the Bussards were shaped wrong and a few details were lost in sanding and needed replacement).
Also: 3 Tomcats still in the works (1/72 VF-1 Wolfpack, Top Gun [Maverick's plane pre-crash], and VF-142 Black Lions), a 1/72 Hasegawa VF-1 Valkyrie (Millia's, but will be repainted to VF-33 Starfighters) with a custom flight deck catapult diorama, a new blade for my Voltron's Blazing Sword (made out of aluminum, once I can find an appropriate piece of the right thickness and length/ width that won't break my wallet!) ...
...and a new set of nerves for my old, poor shot ones!
Speaking of projects: I almost forgot to post the pics of the Thuverl-Salan Class ship I scratch-built some time back-
Yeah... it needs some work still (antenna, weapons emplacements, etc). Got burned out on this (kept thinking green turd); I'll have to come back to it sometime.
Stay tuned folks....
Your Zentradi ship came out better than the kits they had back in the day! And that 'organic' look is essential to their appearance. Breetai's flagship is going to be massive!
Good to hear about all the projects still in the works. And as to the cockpit of Airwolf have you tried plunge molding?

Beetlejuice-Adam's Family cross over?...
I know it isn't but seeing Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) in the group image immediately brought it to mind. Heck, both occupy pretty much the exact same genre and would mesh well with each other.
That would be awesome if she actually was playing Wednesday!
It's (almost) showtime!

Half way through Disney's Percy Jackson series, and I'm pleasantly entertained.
Season 2 approved.

@electric indigo All those little, exquisite little parts are sure to make something grand!
@Urashiman Sorry about the Plamax VF-1, but there are more out there to buy! As to the VF-19, I'm liking the blue. And that is master-masking!
For me, I don't know what I'm doing anymore! Every time I work on my model it changes shape again. I have no idea what it will be next!!
