The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post
Thom replied to Shawn's topic in Model kits
Nicely done on that low-viz! -
The hope would be that they would not make it too complicated. They're already trying to integrate the ship into the future fleet, as well as try and find out what caused the Burn, which seems to be felt to be interconnected with giving the Federation/Star Fleet a jump-start. Then there is the nursery rhyme that has apparently embedded itself into people's minds across hundreds of light years that, hopefully, will be it's own separate thing rather then being interconnected with everything else. And please, don't have Burnham be responsible for it all too! I like the character, but I hope they know it would be wwaaayyy too much!

Looks like Saru and crew are going to play the roles of 'talisman's' from the past. A reminder of what the Federation/Star Fleet used to be, and something to aspire to once again. To people still struggling in the aftermath of the Burn, in triage as Vance put it, I wouldn't be surprised if that example started to spread quickly.

I'd say keep it classy, but you already are! Seeing what you can do with plastic and tape, you could just build more room!

For a moment I thought this was a bussard from a Star Trek build! Cool looking progress. With lights in the guns, will it be strafing anything!?

@pengbuzz Definitely keeping the attention!

Looking good @pengbuzz! Gonna love seeing the Sumo Special coming together!

I wonder what that could be..?

I liked the first one, though this looks even a little sillier than that. But it is for kids. I still really want a kit of his sleigh though! And is it me, or is Julian Dennison reprising his character from Dead Pool 2?

I haven't watched season 1, but season two with Anston Mount was really good. Give me hope for his Pike series coming up.

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!

If it's Protoculture-based, then it may still be human-built, especially with the shape of the exhausts as noted previously. Plus, Protoculture-tech usually has a far more organic element to it, whereas that is really only seen in the day-glow coloring. -
Have heard that off and on, and really hoping it is a sequel and not a remake. In fact, I would love to see the original movie redone with CG that looks like 80's-era practical special effects!

Maybe it's a transformable drone?
-
I can see it as some kind of super-drone AI, and I like it for that, but I hope it's not the hero-fighter. I want something more like the 25/27/31.

Great weathering. It looks like a well-used machine!

I don't know what system you're using. I'm on a desktop. While in the dialogue box, on the upper right there is the 'eye' icon. Type your test, highlight the line and click that 'eye.' Another option is just to change the color of the text to something that better blends in to the background. You can see it easily by highlighting the text. A big SPOILER at the top always helps. As for doing so, I do it just for common courtesy. Never had a problem with it before and I wonder why people have a problem even just putting a SPOILER warning at the top of their post. Doing either way literally takes no more time and, again, is just courteous. And actually, I've always thought the way they do it here was a pretty neat approach.- 1436 replies

I try to avoid the threads that have shows I haven't watched yet anyway, but at least a week for spoilers sounds reasonable. I usually wait until my weekend in order to watch them, but that's Mon-Tue and not Sat-Sun, so it takes me a few extra days to get to it.- 1436 replies

Why I won't buy from HLJ right now. Good pricing, but 20-30 or more for shipping!? No. Which hurts when I see a kit I really want. But, some patience and hunting have afforded some 'okay' alternatives...
