  1. There we're some topics on it a few months back, I was looking for it as well and I remember people stating drilling hols on the top and sides of the legs so it could accept the notches for the FAST packs.

  2. The anniversary disk was nice, but it did leave out a lot of footage from games on the OC, Super Famicon, and the new generation console games. Didn't understand why it let out the intro to M3 as well. Some harcore Macross fan should compile all the footage onto DVD for all other fans to see. Especially since some of the games are discontinued.

  3. Prices at Treasure Island came down a bit for some items. The 1/60 GBL + valk is now $95 from the $105 they were charging a few weeks back. Also, the Q-rau has come down from the $110-115 they were asking for to $95 as well.

On the other side of the show, the booth where the asian gentleman also sells Macross items, didn't see and of the GBP armors at all and he was completely out of the 1/48 super/strike pack sets. He did have some of the Hikaru 1/48s there though I didn't ask the price.

  4. I prefer SDF the series since it explores in more intricate detail the war with the Zentraedi. I especially liked how they showcased the integration and rebellion of the Zentraedis after their big battle. I also preferred the more action packed death of Kazikazi and the more subdued death of Fokker. I disliked DYRL in their portrayl of ROy as this drunken fool. Come on, how many pilots can be like that and survive all this time. At least in the series he was THE MAN and in the movie he was a drunken pilot.

  5. Finds this weekend. Treasure Island is selling the VF-1J GBP armor set for $105.

The little shop at the far end of the corner near the bootleg video booth is selling the armor for just $45. My friend ended up bying the armor and then we hopped to treasure island to pick up the 1/60 VF-1J for $45 to put the armor on for a total of $90, saving $15 from buying the valk + armor set. I wouldn've bought the valk + armor set since I need the 1J, but afer seeing my friend save $15, I decided to wait.

On another note, there's a booth selling some of the reissue TRU Transformers for only $15. My friend ended up picking up Prowl.

  6. I have the 1st release of the VF-11 and the FAST pack version of the YF-21. The VF-11 feels like it could break when I try to transform it to fighter mode, and with all the hoopla regarding the breakable hip joints, I've just kept it in battloid mode. With the YF-21, it's a pretty nice looking piece in fighter mode, I half-heartedly tried to transform it to robot mode, but I thought it'd look nicer in fighter. It's a very sturdy toy though and feels a lot stronger than the ver. 1 VF-11.

  7. Can you fellow MWer's let me know if this is an easy job, since it looks pretty simple to me. I want to purchase a Yammie Roy 1/60 VF-1S strike valk and a VF-1A Hikaru valk. Since they never made the Hikaru 1-S valk and I would like it in my collection I was thinking of just switching out the heads. It looks as if teh heads are just screwed in at the base which should make for a simple swap. Have any of you done this? I'd like to end up with putting the strike pack on the new Hikaru 1-S as well also.
